The doctor explained what all the mother should now eat in order for the child to stay healthy. Xie Shengjun and Keira listened to the doctor very attentively. When the doctor left, Keira burst into tears while Xie Shengjun held her shoulders. 

"Be careful with what you are eating, okay?" said Xie Shengjun. 

Keira nodded. 

Xie Yuansheng looked at little Rongrong in the room again and went near the gla.s.s. "Welcome to the vicious world little bun." His gaze turned to the nanny standing a few feet away from all of them. She was looking very calm. There was not a crease of worry on her face. He walked over to her and looked at her with knitted brows. "Did you give her something external to eat?" he asked with a menacing voice.

The nanny shrank in fear when she heard him. She shook her head and said, "No Young Master. I know that the child is still on her mother's milk, why would I do something so heinous?" 

But Xie Yuansheng was not satisfied with her answer. He decided he would ask the security to look at every camera in the house over the past twenty-four hours. He messaged the head of security at Xie Shengjun's house.

As the four of them stood there, the nurse came and said that they could also wait in the VIP room just adjacent to the ward. It was not even two minutes walk from there. 

Looking at Feng Xinying's condition, Xie Yuansheng took her to the VIP room whereas the parents stayed there. It was impossible for Xie Shengjun to move from there. He was looking at Xie Rong all the time and seeing whether she is moving or not. So whenever even if she would move her little finger, he would feel a.s.sured. 

Xie Yuansheng settled Feng Xinying in the room. "So terrible. The doctor said that she would recover soon, but imagine the pain Rongrong must be going through."

"Hmm…" replied Xie Yuansheng. "You must relax Xinying," he said as he stroked her hair. "How is our baby doing?" 

She smiled feebly and said, "Good and kicking." 

Xie Yuansheng smiled back at her. He made her lie and covered her with a blanket. He sat down next to her and stroked her hair until she had fallen asleep. Then he left the room quietly. A message came on his phone and he checked it. it was from the security head.

[There is nothing that would prove that the nanny was involved in giving the child anything external.] 

Xie Yuansheng wasn't convinced but since there was nothing concrete against her, he didn't say a word. He went to see his brother and his wife. Both of them were still standing and looking at their baby with hope in their eyes. 

Xie Rong was discharged from the hospital the next day. Keira was given strict instructions about her diet. So when they went home, all Keira was having was congee or very light soups. Whatever she had was bland without any spices. Rongrong had become irritable. She would cry every now and then and the two of them had to stay awake, one after the other. She was hardly staying asleep for more than two hours and when that happened, it was only in the laps of one of the parents. 

She was having little milk much to the anxiety of the parents but the doctor informed them that her diet would return soon. This was normal. And just like what the doctor had said, her diet returned within two days. 

During those two days, Rongrong wasn't given to the nanny even for a second. 

It was on the third day that she was sleeping on Xie Shengjun and suddenly he woke up when he sensed someone grabbing his chin with her tiny hands. He looked up to find Rongrong giggling and rubbing her nose in his chest. He was so relieved that he forgot that it was 3AM in the morning. He played with her until she demanded milk and once Keira fed her, she slept back near her. It was that day that the three of them slept together for full four hours at a stretch with the baby in between. 

Things become normal again in the Shengjun's house. 

Meanwhile Feng Xinying's delivery was very near. It was only two weeks away. The subject of nanny was not talked about in their home but it was giving her tension as to how would she manage on her own. She found Xie Yuansheng to be slightly eccentric about this issue. She decided that she would ask Cai Xin to find out about a reliable nanny. 

Cai Xin was a smart woman. She knew all about almost everything in the world. When Feng Xinying called her, Cai Xin came back to her with a list of best nannies available. To Feng Xinying's surprise, some of them were of various other nationalities. One of them was a Filipino nanny. When Feng Xinying asked her about it, Cai Xin said, "Madam, Filipino nannies are considered to be one of the best in the world. I have heard that they are very sweet and polite. There are some very nice ones we have here in our city."

"Hmm…" she replied. "I would like to interview them." 

"Sure. When do I send them to your place?" asked Cai Xin.

"Send them tomorrow," she said and ended the call. Next was to convince Xie Yuansheng about it. 

Back in Xie Shengjun's house, the nanny was looking at the mother and daughter playing. It was 6PM and she said that she had to leave. Keira nodded and she left. The nanny left the house and she walked towards the public bus stand that was almost a kilometer away from the house. As she walked, she removed the sweater she was wearing and kept it in her purse. She waited for the bus to come. When she sat in the bus on the last seat, she removed the fake eyelashes and kept them safely in the bag. Slowly she removed all the makeup from her face.
