The sleeping pills took a bit long time to dash him into a deep long sleep. His eyes were slowly drifting off, it felt like he was one step away from falling deeply into sleep when a gentle yet loud knock on the suite door disturbed him.
It followed by seconds of silence then heavy breathing sounds, then another knock came in, this time it was louder and faster. "Room service," a man said with a broken English accent.
Donggun opened his eyes repeatedly; the bills were fully active in his body, he couldn't answer, he felt like he was dreaming. Another loud knock cracking what was left in Donggun's energy. "Room service." the man sounded like a machine repeating the two words with no feeling.

Somehow Donggun managed to get out of the bed, he felt dizzy, he took a sip of water beside his bed and lighted up the golden-colored lamp, the light hit his eyes and making him cringe. The man behind the door knocked one more time.
"Yes…" Donggun answered weakly and walked toward the door. He opened the door, a strong light hit his eyes made him cringe hard. He covered his eyes with his right hand, the light slowly disappeared, Donggun moved his hand to see who was knocking. "What…?" he said before opening his eyes.
"It's time Donggun," the same man said, his voice echoed strongly.
"What do you—" Donggun stopped and looked around in a complete shock. On the other side of the door was a white void of s.p.a.ce with no end. Ten steps away was a man standing, he was wearing the hotel uniform. He had an angelic face yet very masculine with his full black beard and bald head. His body was muscled yet slim. "— I'm dreaming," Donggun said and rubbed his eyes.
"No, you are awake." Donggun looked again at the man, he seemed further away. Without realizing what he was doing; Donggun walked toward him. The moment he landed his foot on that whiteness place all the effect of the sleeping pill disappeared and he felt completely awake and energetic.
"Who are you?... What is this place?" Donggun said, looking around.
"It doesn't matter, you don't have much time," the man said.
"Am I dying?! Are you… the angel of death?" Donggun said nervously.
"I'm here to warn you… save your son," the man said and walked away.
Donggun walked behind the man to stop him, he was about to hold the man's arm, yet he moved and faced Donggun looking directly into his eyes. "Addaya," the man said and walked away again.
Donggun followed him; something dark and tall appeared in front of the man. When Donggun got closer; it turned out to be a huge acacia tree; a beautiful green one. The man stopped suddenly and gazed into Donggun's eyes made him agitated.
The man suddenly faded; Donggun walked to the tree looking for the man, but the appearance of it stopped him. He saw it before, this tree specifically had its own vibe; it had green, violet, and blue leaves. Donggun touched the colorful leave and a strange feeling of memories took over his head.
His pupil enlarged as his mind was organizing all the memories. "Addaya…," Donggun said sadly after remembering what happened.
"h.e.l.lO," woman's voice shouting from far.
Donggun followed the voice and saw the back of a woman in her twenties; she was walking and shouting for someone to answer. "Malika," Donggun said to himself when he laid his eyes on her.
She shouted; nothing heard but the echo of her voice, Donggun walked to her and stood right behind her. "Malika," Donggun said, she startled and turned her back.
"I'm Donggun… Noah's father," Donggun said and looked at the ground, hiding his face from Malika's gaze.
"Noah's father…!"
"Tell Noah I'm sorry," Donggun said and looked into Malika's eyes. She felt the sadness coming through his teary eyes. "Noah and Farah need your help… I shouldn't have stayed there, I unveiled a secret… time is repeating itself and erasing everything, it is my fault, I shouldn't have told Addaya what I saw." Malika was completely confused, Donggun looked at her and said, "Follow me."
Donggun returned to the tree while Malika frowned. "Where did this tree come from?!" she said.
"Touch the leaves and you will know everything," Donggun said and left Malika standing alone. Malika didn't notice that Donggun left her; she reached to touch the leaves. Within seconds Malika gasped hard after her mind absorbed all the memories of Donggun's.
"Holy f.u.c.k!!" Malika said and felt a sudden dread as Donggun watched her from far both felt a strong earthquake. The mighty vibrations of the ground made Donggun closed his eyes praying it would stop. The earthquake was hard and powerful and felt like the ground was swallowing whatever on it.
Suddenly the vibration stopped, Donggun opened his eyes after a moment of hesitation and looked around to find himself alone in the whiteness place.
He looked around and a man suddenly appeared before his eyes, he stood two feet away from him looking deeply into his eyes. Donggun gazed, the man had clear empty eyes with a sharp icy star. He touched Donggun's shoulder caused him to s.h.i.+ver and collapsed in the ground.
Donggun looked hopelessly at the man while his tears run swiftly over his face. "I did it! How! How could I hurt them?!" Donggun said, sobbing.
"He used you to get to the girl. You were not supposed to be in her life. He controlled you and used you for his game to get her… But this was your last chance," the man's voice echoed in Donggun's head.
"Don't punish me for his mistake! He used me!" Donggun begged.
"The first time he used you but now you made the same mistake again, you agreed to work with him…you were given another chance in another time to redeem yet he gave you power…you wanted power…you knew that he wanted to get her and you helped him, you had been warned multiple of times."
"Please wait!" Donggun begged one more time before the whole place started to fade into darkness.

Donggun looked at the man again and the feeling of guilt shattered his heart. The man took two steps back and walked to the same spot he was standing at first. He opened the door of the emergency stairs and looked at Donggun; He followed him and right before he closed the door, he glimpsed at Adaline for the last time whispering, "I love you."
