"Feng Jianyu, you...." Holding him by his collar she shouted, "Love? Do you even know the meaning of love?"

"Feng Jianyu gazed deeply in her eyes, although her voice was slightly raised, it was nothing like shouting at him. Instead, her voice trembled in pain as she asked him this question.

Hearing this sudden confession, Xiu Mei's expressions remain unchanged and she looked at him as if she heard the biggest joke. She smiled mockingly and gave him slow claps, "wowww…. What amazing acting! You should try for Oscars, I'm sure you will beat Jack Nicholson in the number of awards."

"You really think all this is acting?", He glanced at her firmly maintaining his composure. But there was a disappointment in his eyes.

"Is it not?" she asked him with raised brows and Feng Jianyu clenched his fists tightly.

Feng Jianyu is not a simpleton. With the sharpness in her tone and the coldness in her eyes, it was obvious this conversation has something to do with the past. Otherwise, she would have never behaved like this, and even went to the extent of hurting herself.

Taking a deep breath he braced himself to answer every question honestly that will be thrown on him tonight. And might be he manages to get some useful information from her.

"No…. This is what I truly feel for you!" Without batting an eye he answered firmly as if it is carved on the stone for him.

"For real? Do you think I'll buy that? Do you think you can fool me once again with your kind words? Do you think I'm still a stupid sixteen-year-old girl who would believe you blindly? Do you think you can deceive me again?" She looked at him accusingly.

Feng Jianyu was shocked by her words. He couldn't understand what she was talking about. How did he fool her? how did he break her trust? and how did he deceive her? All these questions were unsolved puzzles for him. But at the same time, he was thanking G.o.d that he managed to get to know something about the past.

"I know you don't believe me. But I'm serious" He patiently answered.

You were serious seven years back when you make me sit for the exam, you were serious when you treated me gently, you were serious when you told me about your dream and bankruptcy and you were serious when you left the diamond with me saying that you trust me. Then what?? Every time you turn serious for me, there's a hidden agenda behind it."

"Hidden agenda?" Feng Jianyu's frown hardened.

Xiu Mei sarcastically laughed, "Of- course!! You made me sit for the exam to scout talent like me for your company! Treated me gently to win my trust! Told me about your dreams and then sudden fake bankruptcy to convince me to get onto your side! And that diamond...."
