"Come-on! It's my order!", w.a.n.g s.h.i.+ did not allow his brother to complete his sentence and dragged him out of there pulling his arm.

They both come to Xiu Mei's room. Looking at the havoc created by her, w.a.n.g s.h.i.+'s eyes widened in shock. "Holy c.r.a.p! What on earth happened here? An earthquake?". He turned to look at Feng Jianyu.

Feng Jianyu pursed his lips and didn't reply anything.

w.a.n.g s.h.i.+ frowned, "Well? If I am not wrong… Breaking things is your personality". He looked at his brother curiously.

"I didn't"

w.a.n.g s.h.i.+ gasped, "Don't tell me she did all this!". He muttered, "No wonder her blood pressure spiked all of a sudden and her hands got multiple cuts".

He rubbed his forehead and sighed, "Anyways! Let's go to the other room and talk. I will send someone to clean this up".

They both came to a different room, "Sit here and take off your s.h.i.+rt. I'll change the dressing" w.a.n.g s.h.i.+ made him sit and pulled the medicine table towards him.

"Now tell me what happened between you two. Did you fight with her?", He asked as he sanitizes his hands.

"No fight! She started telling me about the revenge thing?"

"Revenge? You mean when she was working under the table?"

"hm!"

"What next?" He cuts the bandage with a scissor.

Feng Jianyu told him the entire story of how she got provoked by his one wrong sentence. He, of course, told him about how Su Qiang and Su Wencheng offended her in the past. But didn't tell the part where she explained the story between her and Feng Dingxiong.

w.a.n.g s.h.i.+ patiently heard the entire story and didn't disrupt his brother in between. After a moment there was complete silence in the room. "It's done! Just don't let the water touch the wound, otherwise, it might fester", He finished the dressing and instructed his brother.

"Hm.", He responded with a sound.

"Take rest! I am leaving", w.a.n.g s.h.i.+ got up to leave.

Looking at his brother's abrupt behavior, Feng Jianyu frowned. "Leaving? That's it? You won't say anything?" He almost yelled at him.

"No! I have nothing to say!", He didn't turn back and keep walking towards the door.

"w.a.n.g s.h.i.+ don't test my patience! Just say what you want to say"

w.a.n.g s.h.i.+ stopped in his tracks and turns towards his brother. Folding his arms he questioned, "What do you want to listen?"

Feng Jianyu kept staring at w.a.n.g s.h.i.+ with sharp eyes but didn't say anything.

"You want to know my opinion, right? What next? Will you ever take it seriously? No! Because we both think differently", w.a.n.g s.h.i.+ lost his patience and scolded his brother.

"Just tell me what you think about the whole issue. Your opinion does matter to me". Feng Jianyu retorted back.

w.a.n.g s.h.i.+ narrows his eyes at him, "Alright! Let me ask you a question first! Do you think that she will actually behave like this just because of one wrong sentence by you?"

Feng Jianyu took a deep breath, "NO! I think there is something she is holding against me. I don't know what it is, but she is resentful towards me."

w.a.n.g s.h.i.+ sighed in relief, "Thank G.o.d you are wise enough to judge this fact correctly because I think so too". He walked to his brother and pulled a stool to sit beside him, "Now let's talk about it".

Feng Jianyu rolled his eyes at him, "You think I am a kid, who will not understand this minute thing?"

"NO! You are a 31- year- old mature man". w.a.n.g s.h.i.+ smiled and asked, "Now tell me what you are going to do about it?"

"Investigate!"

"Hm?"

"Yes! Let's start from where it all started! I will investigate whatever happened 7 years back", Feng Jianyu stated his point.

"But You already did! And investigation results were against her", w.a.n.g s.h.i.+ raised his brows.

"Yes! I know everything was against her. But this time I will put my best team at this job. Every coin has two different sides, I have to have to know her side of the story too". Feng Jianyu was resolute to find the exact story.

"Jianyu it's been 7 years! You think it's that easy?"

"I know it's difficult. But it's not impossible".

"Why don't you talk to her directly? It will be easy."

"I will! But judging by her reaction, I don't think it's a good idea as of now. Let the results of this investigation came first".

w.a.n.g s.h.i.+ hesitated for a moment, "Look! I am not being a pessimist, but what if the results are the same?"

Feng Jianyu contemplated for some time, "In that case, I have no other option but to ask her directly, whether she likes it or not".

"Are you sure?"

"Never so sure before. I want to finish this once and for all".

"Alright then! Since you have decided this, Let's stick to it and not pester her as of now". He checked the time on his watch and gets up to leave, "I have to go on rounds. I will come back later. Take rest". He patted on his shoulder and left.

After w.a.n.g s.h.i.+ left, Feng Jianyu went to Xiu's Mei's room and sit down on the stool beside her. She was sleeping soundly. Gently he holds her right hand, but she felt pain and frowned in her sleep.

Immediately he loosened his grip and slowly turned her hand to see her injury. Her palm had multiple cuts, but the biggest one was near the thumb, caused by breaking of the chopstick when she clutched it tightly. Feeling bad for her he bowed down and blow air on her hand to blow away the pain.

Holding her hand with a light touch, he quietly guarded her and went back to his reverie 7 years back.
