Xin Mei opened the box which was placed in her hand and looked inside to find a wedding ring with a chain. She looked at the ring with wide eyes and pulled it out from the ring box.

"What is this?" she asked and looked at Su Yuchen. He was still looking at her with a blank face.

"Can't you see it's a wedding ring, our wedding ring?" Su Yuchen waved his hand in front of her face in which he was wearing his wedding finger.

Xin Mei looked at his ring and then her ring. Those two rings were so similar yet so different. Both their ring was made of yellow gold which seemed very old. The texture of their rings was very similar. The only difference was his ring didn't have any diamond where her ring was adored with big diamond in middle and small diamonds around it.

Her ring had a 5 carrot, light yellow, emerald cut diamond. Her ring was surrounded by little diamonds which were making it look royal Xin Mei could say that the ring was very expensive.

"I wanted to make you wear this ring but now you have spoiled my entire mood." He pulled the box and ring from her hand. He lopped the ring around the chain and tied it around her neck.

Xin Mei could feel his hands were stiff when he tied the chain around her neck. They weren't warm and soft as usual.

"With this chain, you can always have this ring close to you and no one will know that it's a wedding ring."

Before Xin Mei could thank him for the ring and his thoughtful idea of the chain, Su Yuchen was already making his way towards the study room.

"Husband, please listen to me. Please don't be so angry with me.... I am sorry... I know I did a mistake. From next time, I will remember to not repeat the same... Please forgive me."

Xin Mei ran after Su Yuchen who didn't give any head to her. He entered his study and closed the door on the face of Xin Mei. She looked at the closed door with wide eyes.

A sinking feeling filled in her heart. She couldn't let her husband be angry with her!

Only Su Yuchen knew what he was feeling at that very moment. He didn't want to be so angry on Xin Mei but he couldn't control himself. For him, she deserved a punishment.

Only he knew what he felt on returning to an empty house. He panicked when he didn't find any hint of Xin Mei in their house.

Su Yuchen was very happy when he had received the rings. He was very satisfied with the designs. They were exactly the way he wanted them to be. Now he was eager to show them to Xin Mei, he wanted to slide the ring in her finger.

With excitement, he returned home. He called the name of his wife, only to get no reply from him. He panicked and searched the whole house. When he called the guards outside his house, they reported, Xin Mei hadn't returned from the morning.

He thought Xin Mei was busy with her friend, so she was late to return. He immediately called for her number. He wanted to ask her to hurriedly return home.

He dialled her number once, twice, thrice but the call never got connected. He panicked when the call didn't connect for the fifth time. He asked Huang Chu to find the number of Gu Nan.

On receiving her number, without wasting any second, he dialled her number.

"Gu Nan, is Xin Mei with you?"

"Who is it?"

"Su Yuchen." Gu Nan wanted to squeal when she heard the name of Su Yuchen but she controlled her emotions because she could hear the panic in his voice.

"No, she isn't with me. She left nearly four hours back. Why? Didn't she return…?" Before she could say anything, Su Yuchen hung up the call. Panic was settled in him.

Many thoughts ran into his mind what if she had an accident, what if someone tried to murder her, what if her ex again tried to hara.s.s her. She hadn't taken her guards with her so where was he to find her?

He immediately called his mother in law, praying that she had visited their home.

"h.e.l.lo mother, has Xin Mei visited home?" he asked. He tried his best to hide the panic from his voice.

"Yes, Su Yuchen. She visited me in the morning but she had already left a long time back. Why? Didn't she reach home?"

Su Yuchen could hear the panic in her voice. "Yup mother she did….oh mom, she reached home just now. She has a lot of bags in her hand. I think she went to glossary shopping in her way." Su Yuchen quickly lied as to not panic his mother in law.

"Mother, I will hang up now. I have to help my wife."

Once he hung up on He Lin, he fell on the bed. He didn't think she would go to his grandparents. Besides, he didn't wish to call them he didn't want them to panic in case Xin Mei wasn't with them.

He immediately called his security team and sent them in the search of Xin Mei. He was panicking and continuously praying G.o.d for the news of Xin Mei. He didn't know what he would do in case something happened to her.

Meanwhile, he was continuously trying her number, hoping for her or someone to pick up the call. But each time, he came across failure.

A lot of time went by when one of his security guards informed him that Xin Mei was with his grandparents. He took a huge sigh in relief and felt angry on his wife who had made him panicked.

He rushed towards the parking and took his seat inside. She attached his mobile to Bluetooth and called his grandpa.

He had completed the journey of half an hour in within ten minutes. He drove at the full speed, breaking all the signals. He knew he was going to receive a lot of speed tickets the very next day!

"Husband, please don't be angry." Xin Mei spoke against the closed door.

She was standing against the door from the last twenty minutes. She had tried her best to mollify Su Yuchen with her words but he wasn't ready to open the door.

She sighed in defeat and made her way back to her room. That night, she kept twisting and turning on the bed but she didn't find sleep nor did Su Yuchen returned to the room.

"Why so much anger husband?" Xin Mei yelled at the top of her lungs and hidden her face in the pillow.

Next day, Xin Mei made a plan to mollify her husband. She decided to make his favourite food one which he said was his favourite. On a plate, she also wrote 'I am sorry' using sauces.

She also placed a brand new suite for him on the bed. Now she was eagerly waiting for her husband to come downstairs and forgive her.

After some time, Su Yuchen came downstairs. The smile from the lips of Xin Mei disappeared when she saw what he was wearing he wasn't wearing the suit which she had selected for him.

Su Yuchen walked down and completely ignored the presence of Xin Mei. He directly made his way towards the parking.

Xin Mei panicked when she saw him running away from her.

"Husband, where are you going? Will you not have your breakfast? I have cooked it with a lot of hard work. It is delicious, just like the way you like it."

"I am going to the office. I don't want to eat food from your hand. I will call for some delivery in the office." Su Yuchen said coldly and made his way towards the parking.

Xin Mei looked at his leaving figure with a loud huff.

Now, what should she do to mollify her husband?

'Think something Xin Mei, think something. You can't let your husband be angry with you. It was your mistake to make him worried and now you have to pacify him.'

She thought for some time and an idea lighted in her mind like a light bulb!
