"I am back, I am back, I am back…la, la, la, la…. I am home, I am home, I am home... I am back." Su Zixin entered inside the Su residence while singing the song.

From the last month or so, he was filming for one of his movies outside the city and he had missed home very much. He had missed home-cooked meals.

"Su Zixin." Bai Yue grinned when her eyes fell upon Su Zixin. She rushed toward him. "Haw…didn't your production unit give you any food? How come you have turned so slim?"

She looked at him from toe to top.

"Girlfriend, stop being overdramatic like me. I have not turned slim, instead, I have gained weight." Su Zixin rolled his eyes. "Now tell me, what special food  have you cooked for me? I am hungry after three hours journey."

"Ask your brother." Bai Yue pouted. "He didn't let me inside the kitchen. Now he and Xiao Mei are the one making the lunch and then dinner."

Su Zixin chuckled when he heard Bai Yue. "It's a good grandma. Now you are free. After having lunch, I will give you many new gossips."

Eyes of Bai Yue became wide when she heard Su Zixin. She eagerly nodded her head and Su Zixin chuckled.

Su Zixin walked toward the kitchen and greeted Su Yuchen and Xin Mei with full enthusiasm.

"You are back." Su Yuchen hugged Su Zixin.

"I am back for only one day. I still have to return for the filming." Su Zixin made a sad pout. "I hope you have missed me in my absence."

"Su Zixin, we did not miss you." Su Yuchen spoke with a poker face. "Mei, did we miss him?"

"Nopes," Xin Mei also spoke with a poker expression on her face. "There was one less mouth to feed. Our lives were so quite and good in his absence…ah." Xin Mei looked at him with a dreamy look on her face.

"Chen, why don't we kick him out for forever? We don't need a chatterbox like him in our house."

"Grandma," Su Zixin groaned dramatically. He walked towards her and hugged her tightly while glaring at Su Yuchen and Xin Mei. "Look what your Xiao Mei is saying. She is planning to kick me out of her house."

"Then why don't you s.h.i.+ft here with me?" Bai Yue grinned.

"Good idea, I am planning to plant some new flowers."

"No," Su Zixin groaned and started to cry. "Everyone is bad here. Everyone tortures this poor soul. I miss my poor apartment. I want it back."

Everyone chuckled when they saw the drama of Su Zixin.

They had their lunch cooked by Su Yuchen and Xin Mei. After lunch, they started to prepare for the dinner feast where Bai Yue, Su Zixin and Su Lingtian started to decorate their house with lights and lanterns.

In the evening, parents of Xin Mei and Xin Yan arrived with gifts in their hands. Xin Mei felt bad at the absence of Da Chun. Now that Da Chun was going to become her sister in law, she wanted to get to know her.

"Why didn't she come with you?"

"MeiMei," Xin Yan sighed. "Da Chun's family is not like our family. They are quit restricted on her. So, they didn't let her come today. I can bet that she had not told her family about our relations.h.i.+p."

Sadness appeared on the face of Xin Yan. He was desperately in love with Da Chu but she always stopped his advances. He was lucky that this time she at least agreed to see him and go on a few dates.

Everyone collected in the living room and started to talk with one another. He Lin helped Xin Mei who was serving snacks. He Lin again felt happy for her daughter who was loved by everyone especially Su Yuchen.

They had snacks and then had their dinner. After dinner, they played some games for the new year's eve. They also exchanged gifts with one another.

"Let me see what big brother has gifted to me." Su Zixin grinned. "I hope this time it's something good because last year you didn't give me any gift as you were away for your honeymoon."

With excitement, Su Zixin unwrapped his gift. His face became pale when he looked at what his gift was. "Cooking book, like really?" he yelled and glared at Su Yuchen.

"This is for you so you don't burn your house the next time." Su Yuchen teased.

"What is this brother? I thought you will give me something expensive but this...." ugly expression appeared on his face and he looked at Su Yuchen with dejection.

"Why are you thinking about monetary terms, think about my feelings. I have purchased this gift after thinking a lot."

"Thinking my foot!" Su Zixin groaned. "I want some expensive and luxurious gift, like the one which you used to give me on every new year, not this cooking book."

Su Yuchen chuckled and exchanged glances with Xin Mei. He took another gift and gave it to Su Zixin. Su Zixin smiled at the second gift. He looked at Su Yuchen and Xin Mei with suspicious before unwrapping the gift.

His mouth drop opened when he saw what his gift was.

"Are these the property papers of the mansion behind your mansion?" he squealed and looked at Su Yuchen for confirmation. His eyes were wide with excitement.

"Yes, it is."

"Oh my G.o.d," Su Zixin yelled and rushed toward Su Yuchen and hugged him tightly. "I knew you love me. Geez, I always wanted a mansion like yours in glory residency. Thanks for fulfilling my demand."

"Thank to Xin Mei. She forced me to buy this mansion for you. She is quite eager to kick you out."

Su Zixin rolled his eyes at the sarcasm of Su Yuchen and hugged Xin Mei tight.

"Su Yuchen, I thought you are giving him a lesson but I guess you are spoiling him more." Su Lingtian shook his head.

"But what about my old apartment. Weren't you getting it repaired? Now, what about it?"

"Who said I am repairing it?" Su Yuchen shrugged.

"You…." Su Zixin looked at Su Yuchen with horror on his face. He realized that Su Yuchen lied to him. "Then what about my allowances from the last three months. I thought you were using it for the repair!"

"You never asked me. So, I did not give it to you."

"You…" Su Zixin wanted to curse his brother for not giving him three-month allowances but he did not because the gift in his hand was more valuable than three months allowances.

At sharp twelve, everyone collected outside in the garden and started to burst firecrackers to celebrate the new year. They also floated candles in the sky.

"Mei, your new year gift." Su Yuchen gave a file to Xin Mei.

Xin Mei smiled and took the file from his hand. A grin appeared on her lips when she saw its content.

It was a report, report that Zhou Mingyu had committed suicide by banging her head against the wall of the mental asylum. She could not take in that she had nothing left with her.

Zhou Zichen also killed himself when he was not given the drug. He suffered badly in the quest for drugs and in the last, he gave up and died.

Qian Mushan and Qian Fan had started to work under underworld don. Now each second of their life was in danger. One wrong step and they could be dead.

"Thank you for making this year so good for me." Xin Mei smiled and looked at Su Yuchen. Her heart was filled with indescribable happiness.

"This upcoming year is also going to be good and beautiful for us." Su Yuchen smiled and leaned against her.

They both kissed, completely unaware of the tornados which this year was going to bring for them. They had many new problems and challenges waiting for them.

Their love was also going to face a huge challenge in the coming year.
