Su Lingtian sighed when he heard Bai Yue. He and Su Yuchen exchanged a look and Su Lingtian again sighed with guilt.

"I am sorry Bai Yue but I have kept some things hidden from you."

Bai Yue became alarmed when she heard the stiffness in the voice of Su Lingtian, especially the way he called her Bai Yue instead of Yue.

Bai Yue gasped and looked at Su Lingtian with shook and disbelief on her face. She always had a question, how did Su Lingtian get to know about the existence of Su Yuchen, twelve-year back and now she knew the answer.

"I am sorry but Lu Weiwei took a promise from me, to not tell anyone about Su Yuchen, including you. She was afraid that the Jiang family would hurt her or Su Yuchen if anyone was to know of his existence. So, I kept about him to myself. I stopped visiting her after some time. I only had some guards following after her."

"Then... Then…" Bai Yue wanted to ask more questions but nothing came out from her mouth.

"When Lu Weiwei died, I was the one to perform all her rituals. I was the one to send Chen to the orphanage."

Bai Yue gasped and shook her head. She involuntarily s.h.i.+fted away from Su Lingtian.

"I was afraid that the Jiang family would hurt him if they got to know about his existence. You know about our condition during that time. Jiang family was the one who was handling our business at that time. They could have done anything to Chen. So, I thought, the best way to protect him was to send him to the orphanage."

Bai Yue shook her head continuously and tears started to flow from her eyes. She covered her mouth and soft sobs escaped her lips.

She cried because she failed to give farewell to her doting daughter in law. She cried because she was not there beside Su Yuchen in his early years.

"Grandma, please don't cry." Su Yuchen lovingly wrapped his arm around Bai Yue and consoled her.

"You knew about it." this was not a question but a conclusion made by Xin Mei.

"Yes," Su Yuchen looked at her and threw a small smile in her direction. "When grandpa had gone to meet elder Jaing an year back, he had warned grandpa that he will tell me that mother left the house because of him."

"Grandpa felt guilty and confined in me." Su Yuchen smiled and looked at Bai Yue. "I was also angry when I heard him. But then I understood his logics and realised that what he did was for my benefit only. What if Jiang Biyu had killed me like my mother?"

"Chen," Bai Yue chided and shook the head. "I…"

"Shhh..... Do not say anything grandma. I can understand you."

Su Yuchen looked at Bai Yue who sobbed before hugging Su Yuchen tight. She started to wail in his arms, feeling bad for him.

That day, Su Yuchen and Xin Mei stayed at the Su residence, to clear their minds. The next day, they returned home feeling clear minded. No one wanted to remember Jiang Biyu and her dirty tricks.

When Su Zixin was informed about the happenings, in short, he was more than shock. Now he realised, why was he not able to see Gu Biyu whenever he visited the sets.

She was hiding from him. She was aware that Su Zixin, who had seen her during his childhood days could easily recognize her.

"Mei, what will you do, if I am to go to jail because of some case by authority?" Su Yuchen murmured in the ears of Xin Mei and pulled her on his chest, enjoying her warmth.

He was feeling slightly concerned when Xin Mei told him how Jiang Biyu tried to take his property by making Xin Mei afraid that he could go to jail. He would never go to jail but he wanted to know what she would do, if G.o.d forbids, he was to go to jail due to any reason.

"First," Xin Mei turned in his arms and looked at his face. "I am sure that a situation like this will never arise where you will have to go to jail. I trust you and I know how aware you are about your business. And even if such a situation arises, I will do anything to save you."

"Even if this means you going to jail?"

"Yes, I will not think twice before going to jail in your place."

Su Yuchen shook his head when he heard her. He gently knocked her head. 

"Stupid girl, never ever dare to think about it. I must protect you, so, how can I see you behind the bars in my place?"

"By the way, what were authorities doing at your office the other day?"

"Someone gave them false news, maybe Jaing Biyu. But there is nothing to be worried about, I am not going to jail."

Xin Mei pouted when she heard him. "Now stop talking about this jail topic. It's making me depressed."

Su Yuchen chuckled when he heard her, "So about what should we talk about? The position in which I will be making love to you, tonight?" he looked at her with a crocked smile on his lips.

"Chen," Xin Mei groaned and threw a pillow on his face. "Can you not think about something else other than lovemaking? Is your mind full of dirty thoughts only?"
