Xin Mei looked at the manager in her early forties who was sitting opposite to the desk. The wall behind her was decorated with a lot of trophies which she had won in her twenty years of career.

TingTing was a renowned manager in the country. She had managed many artists under herself. Her every artist was a gold who had won many awards for her.

It was believed that her eyes were very sharp she could recognize the talent in a single glance. Every movie, web series or advertis.e.m.e.nt selected by her was always. .h.i.t.

Every manager wanted to be a manager like her. He Ye was also following her path and when Xin Mei used to manage Zhou Mingyu, she also used to follow TingTing.

"Come, Miss Xin, have a seat."

TingTing pointed towards the empty seat in front of her. She extended her hand and took the resume from the hand of Xin Mei.

"Miss Xin, I have heard about you as the manager. You had s.n.a.t.c.hed many resources from my artists. You were doing well as a manager then why this sudden change in career?"

"I always wanted to be a star," Xin Mei shrugged. "Due to some reasons, I wasn't able to join the film industry as a star but now that I have, I want to establish a new benchmark for every other actress."

TingTing nodded her head and praised Xin Mei for her role in Revenge. She asked some more questions from Xin Mei about her expectation in the upcoming future, about the roles she would like to play. She also carefully scrutinized the resume of Xin Mei.

"Miss Xin, wait outside and wait for my final decision."

TingTing smiled, Xin Mei returned her smile before leaving the cabin. In her heart, she felt the confidence that she would get to be her artist, especially seeing the smile on the lips of TingTing.

She stepped out and took her seat. She watched other stars or newbie who went in the cabin of TingTing with much confidence where some came out with sad face and left the hall where some came out with antic.i.p.ation and took their seat beside Xin Mei.

When each candidate had been to the office of TingTing for one time, only six girls were left outside. Everyone started to pray to G.o.d, wis.h.i.+ng to become artist under TingTing.

After some time, TingTing herself stepped out of the cabin. She praised every present candidate and hoped every candidate with a bright future before selecting Xin Mei as an artist under herself.

"Congratulations Miss Xin, I officially welcome you on the s.h.i.+p of Heritage entertainment. Hopefully, we will have a long and strong journey together."

TingTing gave her hand to Xin Mei. Xin Mei took her hand happily in hers for a shake. They both shook hands and TingTing welcomed Xin Mei in her office.

"Miss Xin, after seeing that you are a part of Revenge, I can see that your future is very bright. We want to use Revenge to brighten your exposure in the film industry. For now, I will suggest you some small films and advertis.e.m.e.nt which would make your face known to the public."

TingTing discussed her plan with Xin Mei. They both shared common thoughts upon many things. After exchanging numbers with one another, Xin Mei left her office.

She sighed happily once she was out of her office. She couldn't believe that now she was an artist under heritage, which was a dream come true!

With a smile lingering on her lips, Xin Mei made her way towards the elevator when she caught sight of a familiar person.

"Xin Mei," Tang Min smiled brightly when he saw Xin Mei.

He hadn't seen her from nearly two weeks and now he was missing her very much. In the morning itself, he had wished to see her and now his dream came true.

"Tang Min." Xin Mei nodded to him. "What are you doing here? Aren't you shooting today?"

"I come here to meet my manager. We are talking about some new advertising contract. About shooting, today the close-ups of Zhou Mingyu are being shot so I was free. What about you? What are you doing here at heritage?"

"I came here to be an artist under TingTing."

"Oh really?" Tang Min smiled brightly. "Last night, when I got to know TingTing is planning a new artist under her, I thought of calling you but then I remembered you didn't want to join any management company for now. Then what changed your mind?"

"Family." Xin Mei shrugged. It wasn't a lie, Su Yuchen was her family and he had forced her to give the interview a try. "They persuaded me to give this interview a try."

"So, what about the result? Are we now from the same company?"

"Yup, we are. TingTing selected me as her artist." Xin Mei grinned.

"Congratulations girl." Tang Min grinned. He wanted to hug her in congratulations but maintained his composure. "TingTing is great. I am sure you will see success under her guidance."

"I know." Xin Mei nodded her head.

They were chatting when Xin Mei caught sight of two stars. They were fighting with one another. It didn't take Xin Mei much time to recognize one of the actresses, Ning Xiao.

Ning Xiao and Xin Mei were sworn enemies from the days of the film University. Ning Xiao was senior of Xin Mei and she hated Xin Mei because every teacher in her cla.s.s used to praise and compare her with Xin Mei.

She felt envious of Xin Mei and didn't know when she started to hate her. She always tried to bully Xin Mei. She hated her. Xin Mei also hated her back. She never liked egoist att.i.tude of Ning Xiao.

The funny thing in their relation was, Zhou Mingyu and Ning Xiao were very close to one another. Ning Xiao and Zhou Mingyu never fought even when they were compet.i.tors. Many times, they both were spotted together, enjoying their days.

Now Xin Mei could understand why Zhou Mingyu was close to Ning Xiao, the enemy of an enemy is a friend!

What caught her attention more towards Ning Xiao was the mention of Su Yuchen from her mouth.

"w.a.n.g Fai, how dare of you to s.n.a.t.c.h my role? Don't you know I am the girlfriend of Su Yuchen? Then from where did you find the guts to s.n.a.t.c.h my role?"

Ning Xiao glared at the girl opposite to her, unaware that her words were heard by Xin Mei who froze in a shock. Ning Xiao was the girlfriend of Su Yuchen? From when?

"Xin Mei, don't look at them. It's daily drama here. Ning Xiao is the girlfriend of Mister Su, so she always bullies others. She thinks herself to be a queen because she is the girlfriend of Su Yuchen." Tang Min spoke and placed his hand on her shoulder.

"She is the girlfriend of Su Yuchen?" Xin Mei asked with shock.

Was her husband hiding something from her?

"I can not say it for sure but rumours say yes, she is the girlfriend of Su Yuchen. It is well known that Ning Xiao came into heritage two years back due to say of Su Yuchen. Not only that an year back she walked with him at the party of Su corporation. They were also caught many times at company's canteen."

"Oh."

Her heart sunk when she heard the words of Tang Min. She had already faced betrayal and now her heart wasn't ready to face another betrayal and that too from Su Yuchen!

"Xin Mei, I forget to ask you about SZ, did you find who he is?" Tang Min asked but Xin Mei ignored him and made her way towards the elevator.

One thought was running in her mind, what if Su Yuchen married her only because of grandma. Maybe he was forced to marry her. 

She had forgotten all the logics, only words of Ning Xiao and Tang Min were running in her mind.

What if Su Yuchen really loved someone else and she had unknowingly came in between his love story?
