"S-sis?"
"Whatever you're thinking of doing… don't do it." The older doctor coldly warned her sibling before storing the phone.
Ann wasn't convinced as she unwillingly glanced at the two corpses merely meters away.
"If the police come then it won't be good for him!"
Scarlett knew what to prioritize and although did kill two strangers with cold blood, it was apparent that they weren't good people. Moreover, the redhead had some idea of who they were working for. The best and safest option is to as Bin said and quietly stay here, at least until the danger is gone. She wasn't familiar with Bin but she was confident that he won't hurt her or Ann, especially since he seemed to know her little quite well.
She glared at the trembling Ann and said: "We have a lot to talk about… later." Then she wrapped her arms around her head and brought her closer to her chest.
********
In fact, there was someone who was more surprised than the two doctors. The invisible woman who followed Bin was learning more and more about this mysterious youngster. From the moment he equipped himself with firearms, her view of his changed completely. She was about to interfere when the two men entered the apartment but she was taken aback with Bin's swift actions. She looked at the two corpses, which both had a bullet hole in their head before following after Bin whilst keeping some distance as to not get accidentally discovered like last time.
Although he didn't know, the pumps inside of his body were on overdrive, barely able to sustain his breaking body. Fortunately, he wasn't a magic-user or else he would have collapsed much earlier.
…
The vicinities of this tiny building lacked bright illumination but Bin kind of adapted to the darkness and was about to see several moving shadows, either around the building or heading towards him. They didn't wield any guns but they were fast as they immediately located the masked youngster. As Bin was still upstairs and the floor was very creaky, his footsteps were easily heard, nevertheless, he didn't care as he ran toward the stairs and raised his gun, pointing at the front.
The enemies' weren't aware that he had a gun as their teammates were killed inside the apartment and they had no idea what really happened. Bin was able to kill the closest black-clothed men with three bullets but the one behind him jumped off the stairs and retreated while zigzagging and avoiding the bullets. The darkness and the rapidness of the enemy rendered Bin unable to take him down, though he managed to buy enough time to get down.
Melissa's men also appeared and did a spectacular job as they eliminated the running enemies one by one. Just like Bin, they relied on handguns and when the enemies were closed, they would dispose of them using their sharp daggers. Although the opponents were magic-users, they could, at most, strengthen their bodies and slightly enhance their senses so, in just two minutes, sixteen black-clothed men were killed.
Unfortunately, one was lucky enough to escape but not after getting shot on the hip. Additionally, two of Melissa's men dragged a heavily injured man to the alley, where Bin was currently hiding.
The captured man was in his forties and his face was pale due to getting stabbed two times in both of his thighs to immobilize him. He glared at the youngster and attempted to kill himself using a poison hidden inside of his mouth but the muscular man with scratches on his face pulled the victim's hair and forcefully opened his mouth. He swiftly retrieved a small white vial, which he stored away before violently smacking the hostage.
"I'll give you one chance, where is the branch?"
In response, the man grinned, showing his bloodied teeth. Bin's eyes turned cold as he motioned for his teammates to hold the victim's hand. Without any hesitation whatsoever, he grabbed his knife and slashed down, cutting two of the man's fingers. The poor soul wanted to cry in pain but his mouth was gagged so you could only hear inaudible painful groans.
Bin didn't even flinch as he mercilessly cut the two fingers, he waved the dagger to get rid of the blood before looking at the man's eyes and adding: "You've wasted your chance. Another one will come… when all of your fingers are gone!"
He slashed his dagger again and again…
Standing at the other end of the alley, the invisible woman frowned as she saw this frightening b.l.o.o.d.y sight. Contrary to how he usually behaves, Bin seemed like a completely different person, he showed no hesitation and acted resolutely in order to extract information.
'Is this who he really is?'
The woman didn't know that what Bin saw in the past is worse than any human could imagine. The torture and experiments he had been subjected to were beyond inhumane and this hardened his mind. After all, he even escaped the facility and had one far worse things than such a simple torture. If you could sump up his personality, there's his daily, easy-going, and blunt att.i.tude and this cold-blooded version, which only surfaces when the facility and Mina are involved. He isn't someone who kills anyone but all those who work for the facility are worth less than humans, in Bin's eyes, their lives less worthy than ants.
The man could barely breathe properly as blood gushed out of his fingerless hands, his face filled with tears and blood. One of the four men with Bin removed the victim's gag while their boss faced the tortured man and coldly asked: "Where is the branch?"
Unlike previously, the man couldn't talk coherently as only moans and inaudible words left his lips. Bin grabbed his hair and glared at him, the knife was inches away from the man's left eye.
Seeing the cold edge of the knife, his lips shook and body trembled. He was just about to talk only for a fast projectile to hit the back of his head, killing him.
Bin and the rest turned around and saw three men clothed differently. One was wearing a white clean suit and the two behind him were holding short swords. Bin wasn't able to tell but Melissa's men could tell immediately that this bunch was special and exceptionally strong.
The man in the middle, who seemed to be their boss, smile and spread his hands, unfazed by the four guns pointed at him.
"Ah Bin Bin Bin… we finally meet."
He was a thin man with a creepy face and short height, Bert, the very same man who visited Scarlett a couple of days ago.
