"I don't know, she's been like this for the past half hour?"
Two doctors peeked at the red-headed doctor, who was flipping all the books and throwing them on the ground. She turned the whole office into a mess as she seemed to be looking for something. One of the doctors watching her interrupted her a while ago but he got yelled at and kicked out of the room.
She's not usually someone with a bad temper so when they saw her like that, they didn't dare go in a second time.
Inside the office, Scarlett was turning the place upside down, trying to find something her master hid here. As he was researching Bin's illness, he must have left a few records from the past tests, she just needs to find him. That's what convinced her to frantically mess this office, which is like a sacred place to her, her late master's personal room.
After more than an hour, she finally found a thick stack of books in one of the sealed cardboard at a dusty corner of the office. She hurriedly opened the whole thing then retrieved a scissor and started cutting everything in the way, trying to see what's inside this fake book stack.
After several tries, she successfully shredded them and saw three papers, an old recorder along with a bunch of CDs. Scarlett frowned as she picked the recorder, examined it before looking at the blank white CDs.
A minute later, she put everything in her purse and rushed out of the room, not even glancing at the two doctors who were startled by her abrupt departure.

"Congressman Hayden Parmalee was kidnapped today at 12:48PM by an unidentified individual. Eight police officers were injured and are currently being treated at the hospital. The whereabouts of the congressman still remain unknown, and all the authorities are looking for him.
If you see the man on the screen, please call the police immediately.*
A female news reporter standing near the scene of the kidnapping was recounting some of what happened. At the corner of the screen, there was a recent picture of Hayden, the victim of this crime.
Bin knitted his brow as he looked at his phone, precisely at the van, which was missing its back metallic doors.
'It's the work of a magic-user… was it Melissa?'
The day pa.s.sed peacefully for him, he waited for Jasmine to finish and brought her food as ordered. She didn't trouble him today, fortunately, and the lessons ended earlier than usual, 3PM to be exact.
He was now standing at the front of the limousine, which was heading to Melissa's villa. His master wanted to meet with Rika and check up on her and as her servant, he had no say in the matter but it's not like it bothered him.
…
As Jasmine entered the Villa, Bin glanced at Melissa and furrowed his brow but the latter just shook her head, answering his silent question. Her confusion kind of showed him that the kidnapping was her doing, but, if it's not her then who could it be? While it's true that Hayden had a lot of enemies, none were bold enough to attempt such a thing, and on broad daylight too!
When the servant saw Rika, she was very calm and unbothered about the news of her father. Ever since yesterday, she gave up on that person and no longer considered him a relative or someone to worry about.
In fact, when her eyes landed on Bin, they lit up and she was about to say something only to swallow back her words as Jasmine was right next to the youngster. Melissa told her that Bin got hurt last night but he looked completely fine today so she was a bit relieved and guilty, after all, it's was her father's doing.
"Are you alright?"
Jasmine hugged her friend then sat next to her, she held her hand and looked at her worriedly. In response, the short-haired girl softly smiled and comforted Jasmine with a few words.
Bin excused himself and went to the next room, where Melissa was currently at.
"You still have yesterday's guns, right? Give me one."
"Why? It's dangerous to wander around with a firearm."
Melissa didn't accept but questioned back, it didn't sit right with her that he has to go around with a gun as it could lead to many problems if he's caught by the authorities.
Bin frowned and coldly retorted, "Are you going to give me one or not?"
The blond girl sighed and left the room with less than a minute then came back with a black cloth in her hand, in which there was a relatively small handgun, fully loaded.
"Was it really not your doing?" Asked Bin with a low, barely audible tone.
"Why would I kidnap him? I don't need to dirty my hand, after all, the charges were enough to indict him for years."
She looked at him for a couple of breaths before speaking again, "Why were those people after you?"
The young man stepped forward, stopping only when his face was an inch away from hers, making her uncomfortable.
"None of your business. Let me warn you, Melissa, that trying to dig in further will only bring endless troubles to both of us. Let the 'cooperation' between us be limited by the contract, there is no need to get involved in each other's personal lives.
He slowly raised the handgun, which she just handed to him, to her neck, and added,
"And one more thing… if you ever back-stab me then no G.o.d will be able to save you from me."
Even with a loaded gun pointed at the side of her throat, Melissa smiled back at the stone-faced Bin, and retorted,
"Why would I betray a valuable a.s.set?"
She pushed his hand away and went to pick up the plate filled with food, ready to deliver it to her two friends.
