In a blink of an eye, it has been two weeks since Mu Chang's birthday.

In the evening, w.a.n.g Lu smiled and ran to Mu Chang's villa. As soon as he entered the door he couldn't wait. "Li Mu Chang, Richard's wedding is being held at Las Vegas. He sent the invitation today."

He looked at Ru s.h.i.+ and looked at Mu Chang. His eyes flashed an unknown light. "Are you going to bring sister Ru? 'Richard? Isn't that the guy they visited last time?' She remembers that he invited them to his wedding. She looked at Mu Chang.

Mu Chang smiled faintly as he looks at her. "Well, of course, we will go together or that guy won't leave me alone."

Las Vegas was a great city with great scenery. She actually wanted to go there but did not get the chance. When she heard they will be attending a wedding there she was excited. "Well, I brought the invitation, the wedding is on Sat.u.r.day. So we have to leave early."

The wedding was abroad, Richard thought his friends will be annoyed so he prepared a private jet to bring them. This will save them from the trouble of preparation.

w.a.n.g Lu smiled when he saw the cook. "What will we eat today?" The cook smiled as she mentions the food she has prepared. "That is my favorite. Don't tell me you knew I will come so you prepared this food." Mu Chang's cooks food was much more delicious than his cook. He remembers that he spent a lot of money to let her work for him but she refused.

Seeing that he wanted to stay and eat, Mu Chang frowned slightly but agreed.

The table became lively because of w.a.n.g Lu. "Sister Ru, do you know the woman Richard is marrying?" w.a.n.g Lu asked as he turned to look at Ru s.h.i.+. Ru s.h.i.+ didn't know why this guy keeps calling her Sister Ru when he is clearly older than her. She shook her head.

"She is a woman with no background, many people thinks she is marrying Richard just for status. They believe she doesn't have the qualification to be with him. So I will advise you before you agree to marry this guy here, you should either be ready to face criticism or work hard to be an independent woman. I'm not saying you need to prove yourself to anybody but it will be for your own good."

Ru s.h.i.+ looked at w.a.n.g Lu, she doesn't understand why this guy will choose to wear a playboy's mask.

w.a.n.g Lu turned when he felt a gaze on him. He saw Ru s.h.i.+ looking at him as if she wanted to see through him. He chuckled. "Why are you looking at me like that?"

Ru s.h.i.+ smiled but said nothing. "You know sister Ru, getting the in-laws blessing is also essential in a relations.h.i.+p. So you have to work hard." w.a.n.g Lu said as he patted her shoulder gently.

Mu Chang stared at the hand that touched Ru s.h.i.+ and glared at w.a.n.g Lu. w.a.n.g Lu turned to look at Mu Chang when he felt a dead glare on him.

'This guy he just patted her shoulder it's not as if he kissed her.'

w.a.n.g Lu stood up, "That, sister Ru, I will take my leave. Enjoy the rest of the meal."

Without waiting for her response w.a.n.g Lu hurriedly left as if someone was chasing him.

After dinner Ru s.h.i.+ took a shower, when she came out she saw that Mu Chang was looking at some files on the table. She hesitated for a minute before approaching him.

When she got near him she saw he was looking through a contract. Ru s.h.i.+ raised her brows, she saw it was a contract for land. Suddenly Mu Chang turned around and pulled her to sit on his lap.

"The day after tomorrow we will leave for Las Vegas. We will spend about three or four days there." Mu Chang said faintly.

"Then my.." Mu Chang interrupted her. "I have arranged everything for you, don't worry." Ru s.h.i.+ nodded and smirked. He is really capable. Ru s.h.i.+ looked up at him and thought for a second before she curiously said, "why don't you tell me about Richard's fiancé? I'm going to attend someone's wedding but I don't even know the bride." Mu Chang nodded.

"Richard as you already know is a powerful business tyc.o.o.n. Many people thought he was gay since he didn't like going out with girls. His fiancé was his caretaker. He eventually fell in love with the woman. Many people believe she seduced him while taking care of him. So those in the high society doesn't really like her, you remember what w.a.n.g Lu said right?" Ru s.h.i.+ nodded.

"Hui Yin was lucky because Richard's parents weren't picky. The moment they saw their son was in love they supported him. His mother even trained her to know how to act as the hostess of the family. With Richard's parents behind her, n.o.body dares to disrespect her. That's why w.a.n.g Lu said the approval of the in-laws was needed."

"Oh." Ru s.h.i.+ said. 'Why can't Mu Chang's parents be this understanding.' She sighed.

Mu Chang patted her back. "They must be in love." Ru s.h.i.+ said. Mu Chang noticed a trace of envy in her voice. He raised his brows.

"Marriage means to love?" He asked. Because he has seen many people who have gotten married to being in love. So he doesn't know why this woman sounds jealous.

"Of course, the marriage certificate symbolize the decision one has made that he or she is willing to spend the rest of his or her life with someone, willing to build a family with someone and have his children. Also, if not love will Hui Yin suffer all the ridicule of those in the high society? Or will she have such determination?"

Ru s.h.i.+ suddenly realized she has gone far. She sounded like she wanted to get married and is trying to force him. Sure enough, Mu Chang whispered. "You wanna get married?"

Ru s.h.i.+'s heart skipped a beat. "You....what are you talking about?"

She asked as she avoided his eyes. It seems she was afraid he will be misunderstood that she wants to get married and put pressure on him. She couldn't help but added, "I'm talking about them."

"Why you don't want to?" Mu Chang wrinkled his brows as he asked.

'This stupid guy, this is the second time he has casually talk about marriage. Doesn't he know that women want romantic proposals?' Ru s.h.i.+ thought bitterly.

"Well, I want to finish school first. Then work hard and achieve my dream first."

Ru s.h.i.+'s eyes brightened as she said. She has been hurt too much, even though she wants to marry Mu Chang she knows it is not time yet.

"What dream?" After a while, Mu Chang asked.

Ru s.h.i.+ smiled, "to be a strong and independent woman for myself and someone who can stand by your side. I don't want people to say I'm a gold digger. Is not like I care though but I need to get your parents' approval too. I know how much they mean to you."

Mu Chang's heart softened when he heard her. He kissed her forehead gently.

"Hmm." Ru s.h.i.+ raised her brows in confusion. What does this "hmm"?

Probably a perfunctory response?

Ru s.h.i.+ didn't think too much about it. She then changed the topic.
