The people around couldn't help but bow their head and sigh. This scene is actually pitiful and too irritating.

They are afraid that if it was a different man he will feel change his mind or feel sad when sees a beautiful girl crying so pitifully. It's a pity the man in front of her is Li Mu Chang.

He is one of those people who loves with everything they have but once he hates you he wouldn't even blink an eye when he sees you crying. He stared indifferently at her as if her tears as no effect on him and she was a stranger.

"People have to pay for their mistakes." Mu Chang said coldly. His brown eyes were cold, filled with indifference and alienation.

Qin Jieli looked at him and she froze. She never imagined that one day Mu Chang will look at her like this. She thought that once he has calmed down for a few days he will forgive her once she pleaded for forgiveness. After all, she was once the only woman in his life.

Also, from childhood to adulthood whenever she does something wrong the people around her will forgive her. Since she is the young miss of the Qin family. She thought that is the rule in the world. Once you ask for forgiveness people will forgive you.

"Go away." Mu Chang repeated the words coldly. Anyone who knows him knows this is his final warning and he is getting angry now.

"Li Mu Chang...have you forgotten you the promises you made me! I also saved your life. It is not for me you will not be standing here right now. I did so much for you all these years...." Qin Jieli subconsciously recalled the past and she s.h.i.+vered softly. Her tears quickly fell.

She really regrets everything. If she knew this would happen she would have never left.

One decision has caused so much damage. Now she can't even recognize herself anymore. Yes, she is not a saint but she really regrets everything. Now she just wants to wake up and pretend all of this never happened.

"Yes, I made you promises. Yes, you saved my life but get this once and for all, You left me first without a single call. Secondly, you already tried to take my life. That life you saved once nearly killed by you. So we don't owe each other anything. Miss Qin, please, refrain from saying these words next time." Mu Chang said indifferently.

She opened her mouth and when she did she confronted the indifference in Mu Chang's eyes. After a while, she said: "I'm sorry.."

When she finished, she lowered her head and walked away.

She stood on the side of the road and watched as Mu Chang opened the car door for Ru s.h.i.+, his actions were considerate as he placed his hand on her head to prevent her from hitting her head. Then he waited for her to sit before he also sat in the car.

She stood there in a daze for twenty minutes w.a.n.g Lu came to call her back inside.

In the banquet hall, everything was as usual. Everyone continued to eat, drink and chat. They pretended like they didn't see anything and nothing happened.

Back at the hotel, Mu Chang looked at Ru s.h.i.+.

"Let's go and eat something."

"Okay." Ru s.h.i.+ seems to have been completely unaffected by the previous incident. She smiled directly at him. "I saw an intersection not far from the hotel and there is a pastry shop. I want to eat there!"

Mu Chang smiled helplessly this woman and her obsession with sweets. "Okay, let's go."

Mu Chang was never really a fan of sweets so after they entered he just watched as she bought what she wanted.

Back at the hotel, Mu Chang took out his computer to handle some things while Ru s.h.i.+ took out the cake and put them on the table. She tasted them and smiled.

However, her heart remembers how Qin Jieli was crying. To be honest as a woman she is somehow soft-hearted. Honestly, she doesn't really hate Qin Jieli. She hopes she will also find her own happiness one day, she sighed.

Qin Jieli finally lost her mind and left the party. She felt suffocated in the room so she curled up on the bed as her tears continued to fall thinking about all the good memories with Mu Chang. She smiled like a fool once she remembers a funny moment. Suddenly Mu Chang's words echoed in her mind, "people have to pay for their mistakes." She s.h.i.+vered when she remembers the indifferent and alienated look in his eyes.

Pay for her mistakes? How does she pay for it?

An apology is not enough. What should she do? So Mu Chang will forgive her? She will do anything just to get Mu Chang to forgive her but she was now feeling helpless with different ideas in her running in her head but she knew all these ideas were futile.

"Qin Jieli, come out and have something to eat."

"Miss Qin, the wedding is tomorrow are you ready?"

"Qin Jieli, come out".

One night, several people came to look for Qin Jieli but she didn't pay them any mind and refused to come out.

Not only that, she locked her door making it difficult for the people outside to open the door. Because the hotel was a first-cla.s.s hotel it was difficult to open the door for security reasons.

But now Ru s.h.i.+ appeared and everything changed. She now knows if she had just called Mu Chang then maybe they might be getting married now but now everything is over. He is already somebody else's.

He will never come back. All she wants is his forgiveness. At least she has to clear her conscience and cherish the few memories she has left. She can bear anything but not Mu Chang's hate.

She whispered, "as long as I pay for my mistakes Li Mu Chang will you forgive me?"

Her voice sounded in the silent room but no one answered.
