"President Fuse! What is the evidence of Mr. Sagara's crimes?"
"Have you always known of his ill-intention towards you?"
"Could you please tell us how did you survive the crash?"
Ren's personal bodyguards formed a barricade among him as the media tried to get close to him. He didn't answer any question. His gaze was far ahead of them. After a while, he stopped walking. The bodyguards warned the journalists to not step over the boundary as they realized President Fuse was looking at something behind them.
Or someone.
"Ren!"
A voice of an old woman caught their attention. It came from behind. They turned their heads and saw that it was Old Madam Fuse. Old Madam Fuse was looking straight to her grandson. The journalists immediately backed off and let the pair of grandmother and grandson facing one another without any obstacle.
"Grandma," Ren nodded his head slightly. He was still wearing his cold and aloof mask even though his eyes softened at the sight of his grandmother.
Grandma Fuse pursed her lips. She walked over to her grandson and eyed him suspiciously.
"You already knew of Mr. Sagara's plan?" Grandma asked in front of the people surrounding them. The journalists opened their ears wide to avoid missing any details.
"Yes," Ren replied curtly.
Grandma sighed. "We'll discuss this at home."
She still had questions to ask him but she needed to be careful as the media was paying close attention to them. Right at this moment, several headlines about them had been published.
"President Fuse, why did you refuse to publish Mr. Sagara's crimes to the public instead of only submitting the evidence to the police?" One of the journalists gathered his courage and asked. He could no longer contain his curiosity.
The others kept their mouth shut. Even though they had their own questions, they were already intimidated by the young head of Fuse Household. So they just quietly taking his pictures and getting ready to record his statements.
Ren didn't immediately respond. His eyes landed on the journalist who asked the question. The poor man felt cold all of a sudden when the tall man before him smiled crookedly. Ren opened his thin lips, throwing out a few words.
"He isn't worthy of my time."
As they were stunned by his short reply, Ren took the opportunity to get close to his grandmother. He gently squeezed the old lady's hands and said, "I'm going to her."
Grandma silently nodded. She squeezed his hands back.
Ren didn't try to keep his cool any longer. As Grandma gave him her silent approval, he immediately dashed out from the luxurious hall. The journalists watched the tall and n.o.ble man ran towards the door in shock. They didn't expect to see this side of him.
"Old Madam Fuse, why did President Fuse suddenly leave? Is he going to the police?"
Grandma smiled slightly. She shook her head. ."To find his wife."
That was why this event was cut short and Ren didn't bother to feed them with face-slaps. He was anxious enough to the point of forsaking this contract signing ceremony by sending a representative on his behalf. But Hibiki and Matsuzaki had advised him to not do it. If not, their aim to trap Mr. Sagara might fail if something untoward happened.
To find his wife?
So the news about the young lady who appeared beside Old Madam Fuse earlier was her granddaughter in-law was actually true!
A certain someone who didn't care about his image had ran to the elevator with his fastest speed. He repeatedly pus.h.i.+ng the b.u.t.ton of the elevator, looking so desperate till the sight of him looking anxious attracted the attention of pa.s.sers-by who walked in the corridor.
Once the doors slid opened, Ren quickly entered it. He was lucky it didn't take him a long time before he finally arrive on the floor where his suite was located at. He dashed out till he stopped in front of the two bodyguards. Shock was fleeting on their faces as they were met with this kind of side of their Big Boss.
"Madam is in the room, Master."
Ren nodded. He waved the bodyguards off before he unlocked the door. He slowly opened the door, slightly afraid of meeting her again after making her cry last night. His soft steps fell on the carpet as he maneuvered his way inside.
He rarely came here ever since Spring City Hotel was opened to the public two years ago. This was his first time within half a year.
Ren gulped as he grew nervous. From afar, he could see the top of her head laying on the armrest of the black couch. He quickened his steps. Little by little, he could finally see her sleeping on the couch. She looked restless as she drawn up her knees to her chest and her hands clutching on the couch.
Tsubaki's face twisted even in her sleep. Sweats were forming on her forehead. A sound of whimper could be heard as he came closer to her.
Ren's heart ached when he saw her like that.
It was like she's troubled by something in her dreams.
Ren sat on the floor, facing the sleeping Tsubaki. He hesitantly raised his hand, wanting to wake her up. As she didn't stop whimpering, Ren gently rubbed her head. He opened his lips.
"Sweetheart, I'm here."
"...no..."

Ren knitted his brows. Tsubaki was saying something. He leaned closer, trying to catch what she was saying in her sleep.
"Sweetheart?"
"...no... No!"
Tsubaki abruptly opened her eyes wide. Ren was startled yet he quickly recomposed himself. Tsubaki sat up hastily. She panted heavily, it was as if she was awakened by a nightmare. Ren quickly wrapped her in his embrace. It was then when she finally realized of his presence. She looked up and met his dark eyes.
"...Ren?"
Ren nodded. He saw the reflection of his worried face in her eyes that had started glistening with tears. She looked so fragile, so broken.
"Love, I'm back."
Tsubaki lunged forward as she wrapped her hands around his neck. Ren steadied himself with one hand while the other wrapped around her waist. He could feel the trembling of her body against him through their layers of clothes. Her hot tears started trickling down on her cheeks and fell on his neck.
"Don't go... Ren..." Tsubaki choked back on her sob. "Don't go..."
"I'm here... it's over now..." Ren tried to calm his wife down but she didn't budge as she kept crying. Feeling helpless, Ren hug her tightly. His voice lightly trying to comfort her. "I'm here, love. I'm not going anywhere."
Tsubaki's tears and sobs continued to echo in the large suite. Ren patiently hold her close in his embrace as he rubbed her head gently and kissed her temple softly.
