 Hearing the question, Suzy stopped on her tracks and turned around to look at certain someone. With a smile on her face, she said every word loudly and clearly" it's because….I wanted to prove to someone that…Li corporation is not to be messed with" with that said, she walked down the stage and went back to her seat. Just when she was about to shake his shoulder to wake him up from his daze, the vice president started to announce the result on the stage. As everyone expected, Suzy's proposal was selected as the best one and the Su corporation was willing to collaborate with the Li corporation for their upcoming project. With a loud applause, Suzy walked to the stage while receiving congratulations from other representatives. After the meeting ended, Suzy was invited to the CEO's office to discuss their contract.

When Suzy was out, She could still see the uncomfortable and anxious Lou Shen. Walking up to him, she held his shoulder and asked worriedly "Lou Shen, is everything alright? Are you okay?"

Hearing Suzy's words, Lou Shen felt warmth spread in his heart. With a small smile on his face, he shook his head and said "No, Everything is fine"

Before Suzy could ask him anything Lou Shen walked forward afraid to reveal his anxiousness. Entering the elevator, they headed straight to the parking lot and straight to their car. Just when they were about to get on to the car, a black Mercedes stopped right next to them and Jiang Chu got down from the car while b.u.t.toning his coat and giving a charismatic smile to Suzy. When he Suzy did not show any sign of receiving the invitation, Jiang chu stuffed it to Lou Shen's hand before saying cutely "Ill be waiting…please do come"

Without replying to anything, Suzy turned around and got into the car and Lou Shen also followed the suit hurriedly.

When Suzy got on the car, she saw Lou Shen's hands s.h.i.+vering a little and could say that the little kid was extremely nervous about something.

"Lou Shen, what happened," Suzy asked coldly.

Just when Suzy was going to force him to spill the truth, she received a text to her cell phone from her uncle which said " Lin Lan hospital….Lou Shen's mother is in serious condition" with only a few words, she easily understood why was Lou Shen anxious all these time. Shocked, Lou Shen did not know what to answer. Only after few minuted did he reply in a low voice "yes"

Frustrated, Suzy yelled coldly "What the f.u.c.k are you doing here? Why dint you leave the meeting earlier and head straight to see your mom?"

"I can't leave you alone," he said politely.

"Why the h.e.l.l can't you leave me alone ?"

"because you're in danger. If I leave you alone, I'm afraid that something might happen to you"

Hearing that, Suzy's heart warmed up and at the same time, she was even more angered " How the h.e.l.l is my life important more than your mom's? what if something happens to her? How will you face her?"

Shaking his head, Lou Shen answered calmly " No, I can't do that. When I joined your company, I promised my mom that I will never betray you and will protect you no matter what even If it means to put my life in stake...if I break my promise, no matter whether I see my mother dead or alive, I can never face her" he said as he held the steering wheel tightly.
