"Lu AnLing?" The man said again.
"Liang—no, You… how do you know my full name…" Lu AnLing didn't remember telling him that. Nor did she ever imagine to see Liang Ke here. He was an artist, yes, but not one with enough stardom to find himself here! At least that was what she thought.
Looking over to gaze at her cousin's face curiously, Lu Xia asked. "Someone you know?"
Seeing the beautiful and tall woman by Lu AnLing's side, Liang Ke couldn't help but smile seductively. Slowly, he approached the woman.
"Forgive me, my lady, let me introduce myself." The man took a slight bow before he lifted his head up to look Lu Xia dead in the eyes. "My name is Liang Ke. I'm currently an artist under Halo Stars Entertainment."
Watching the man, Lu AnLing s.h.i.+vered in plain disgust. This man just shamelessly flirted with anyone person with a v.a.g.i.n.a didn't he?…
Seeing the man's strange gesture, Lu Xia smiled. When it came to seduction, she had seen it all. She could tell that Liang Ke was pretty good at seducing any normal woman, but Lu Xia wasn't normal at all…
Looking at Liang Ke in the eyes, she crossed her arms over her chest, allowing her b.o.o.bs to appear rounder than they actually were and then tapped her perfectly manicured finger on her bottom lip. Her mouth opened ever so slightly revealing her pearly white teeth. The contrast between her teeth and her red lips caused Liang Ke's body to react.
"Liang Ke? Never heard of you but I don't really listen to much music so…"
Liang Ke's body went numb. At the moment, he felt extremely insulted and he showed it plainly on his face.
Lu Xia giggled.
Ignoring Lu Xia, he turned to look at Lu AnLing. His face that was dark just a second ago, brightened.
"Ah miss Lu, what brings you here?" Liang Ke's words were playful and they insinuated something.
Lu AnLing began to frown.
She had heard Liang Ke's words and she wasn't interested in answering him but what did interest her was what the man wore…
Liang Ke wore a sleek silver and white suit with red trim. It wasn't extravagant but it was very eye-catching compared to everyone else. Because the evening was full of bright colors, Liang Ke's choice of clothing shone brighter than the rest and due to the light that reflected on it slightly, he looked like he was wearing diamonds.
Lu AnLing looked down to the diamond studded bands on her own dress and began to frown.
At first glance the suit looked like it matched with Ning Jie's off white dress, mostly when you see the collar, which was lined with diamonds…
But Lu AnLing knew better.
She knew clothes and the more she gazed at both outfits she could clearly see that it actually complimented her own dress the most.
If she wasn't mistaken, they were a pair…
Seeing that her cousin didn't answer, Lu Xia c.o.c.ked her head slightly and began to glare at Liang Ke. Feeling anger spread through her veins, Lu Xia took one step forwards with her hand rolled up in a small but tight first.
"Hey buster, if you're insinuating that my cousin doesn't belong here you better prepare for a sc.r.a.p. I won't be letting you off easily."
Backing away slightly, Liang Ke chuckled awkwardly.
"I think she belong's here but I don't know if she agrees with that a.s.sessment."
Hearing this, Lu Xia lowered her fist and relaxed herself but then, a new thought flashed in her head. She took up her offensive pose once more.
"Wait?! Are you doubting her self-esteem? Are you trying to court death?"
Listening to Lu Xia, Liang Ke frowned.
Why couldn't this woman just calm herself down?! Was she crazy? He wasn't here to do any wrong but she was treating him worse than a piece of tras.h.!.+
Lu AnLing stared between the two. A hollow expression engraved itself on her face as she just stared…
After a while of watching the two bicker, Lu AnLing spoke, cutting their tension with her clear voice.
"Lu Xia…"
"Yes jie?" Lu Xia said sweetly.
Lu AnLing frowned at the girl.
"Yes AnLing?" Lu Xia corrected reluctantly.
"Don't you have to find your… husband?"
Liang Ke looked at Lu Xia in horror.
'This monstrous woman has a husband? Whoever you are, I will pray for you…'
"Yeah," Lu Xia smiled slightly, but then she turned to glare at the man beside her cousin. He had just breathed a sigh of relief and Lu Xia had seen it. It caused her eye to burn with annoyance. "I'm not leaving you here though. Let's go in together."
Lu Xia's words were firm, and Lu AnLing didn't feel like arguing so both girls just left, leaving a sullen faced Liang Ke starring at the two beauties.
Partially annoyed and partially amused, Liang Ke ran to the girls and stop right before them.
Seeing him at their side, both girls glared at him.
"You know, you two look really alike when you glare like that. It's cute."
Though his words were meant to be kind, the glare of both girls worsened. They then looked away from him and continued to talk in their own world. Staring at them, Liang Ke couldn't help but sigh.
'Women…'
Once they entered the room, Lu Xia and Lu AnLing parted ways reluctantly.
Sadly for the cousins, their tables were at opposite ends of the room, but before leaving, Lu Xia wrapped her arms around Lu AnLing lovingly.
"You still have the same number?"
Lu AnLing nodded in the embrace but she still vocally answered, "Yes."
Waving goodbye, Lu AnLing kept a smile on her face and this one was probably the most genuine one she'd worn since coming back.
Unlike the majority of her family members, Lu Xia had not tried to contact Lu AnLing while she was abroad but this didn't offend her. This was because she knew that the reason why…
Lu Xia had spend a large amount of her time abroad herself and she also never contacted anyone either. According to the girl, there was no point. She believed that once a person left the country they could become a completely other ident.i.ty; not bound by old friends, lovers or even family.
Watching Lu Xia walk away, Lu AnLing felt her soul warm. Lu Xia was like a breath of fresh air and she was so glad they'd met again.
But suddenly, the good feeling pa.s.sed and was replaced by annoyance with the sound of Liang Ke's voice.
"Our tables over, come on, let's go."
Liang Ke reached for Lu AnLing but she dodged him before pointing her finger at him.
"Don't you dare. You're an artist and I'm an a.s.sistant. Know your position and know mine."
Liang Ke sighed and then his face lit up.
"I have a solution. How about you become my personal a.s.sistant?"
Hearing him say this, Lu AnLing's face twisted in disgust. She couldn't take him anymore so she just left to find the table herself.
