I Deserve A Second Chance Chapter 104 - My Name Is Risa

Even after a whole day of work and meetings, Risa Yamaguchi still looked as elegant as this morning. Her honey color satin blouse still looked crisp. Her ponytail was still tidy in place, without a single of loose hair escaped its bond. She emitted the magnificent aura of an elegant lady and her face looked so fresh with the impeccable make up.

Her almond-shaped eyes were paying a close attention at Shao Yan and Li Xiqing.

She slowly lowered her hand with the phone in her grip, and her steps faltered; no one noticed it but herself. She fixed her own expression, and slowly released a lazy smile at the couple, and then she approached them. "Shao Yan, right?" Risa offered her slender hand in front of Shao Yan while keeping an amicable smile, "Mr. w.a.n.g talked about you a lot."

Shao Yan gingerly offered her hand, and said her greetings. Risa shook it firmly while looking at Shao Yan intently. While scrutinizing her, Risa did not realize that her eyes turned warm for a second and then quickly went away. Shao Yan felt that her hand was let go almost immediately, and then she saw that Risa already s.h.i.+fted her line of sight to the her man.

Risa slowly tilted her chin up and released a slow smile. Her soft eyebrow arched a little, and the corner of her lips curved up showing a very attractive smile, "Daniel Li. Li Xiqing. What a pleasant surprise. I finally get to meet you in person. My name is Risa." And she offered her hand to shake his.

Li Xiqing did not take her hand right away. He slowly turned his head to the side to look at Shao Yan first. And only after he confirmed that nothing was unusual from her expression, then he turned his face back to Risa.

His right hand was holding both of their laptop bags, while his left hand was holding onto her waist. He slowly let her go, and placed the laptop bags to his left hand, before he extended his hand and shook Risa's hand firmly.

As his hand was broader, his palm enveloped her hand in one grasp. After a customary handshake, he released her, and only said, "Nice to meet you, too".

Risa was surprised at his good manners and inwardly praised him more. 'It seems that the rumor is true. He got the looks and att.i.tude that I have heard off. '

Risa took a deep breath and relaxed herself; slowly pursed her lips. She exchanged look at Shao Yan and Li Xiqing, "Well, it was already late, it seems that our publis.h.i.+ng company is really lucky to have you as a dedicated employee, Miss Shao."

As she was about to say something more, her phone suddenly chimed in to alert her of a new incoming text message. Risa glanced on the screen, and then she raised her soft eyebrow, before she turned back to the couple to say, "My apologies, I have to make a call. I believe we will meet more often in the future. Let's have some tea one day."

Without waiting for either Shao Yan or Li Xiqing to reply her, Risa briskly stepped away. She typed series of number on her phone, and then Risa raised it to her ear to listen as she made a phone call.

Shao Yan was confused at the brief encounter. She wanted to say something, but when she opened her mouth, she did not know what to say. And so she just stood there, looking at Li Xiqing dumbfounded.

Li Xiqing chuckled softly at how silly she looked right now. He did not think much about it and just place his hand on the small of her back, "It's getting late. Let's go find something to eat now."

Shao Yan nodded slowly, and started to walk out of the seating area. Hand in hand they walked out of the building and to the direction of her apartment.

The silver moon tonight was exceptionally big and round. The brightness of it really spread magnificently throughout the night. Shao Yan admired it so much; she could not help to keep staring at the sky every now and then.

Li Xiqing was right. The autumn weather had started to kick in, the night was cool and breezy. She had been cooped in the office the whole day. A breath of fresh air lifted up her mood and she felt so happy. She took a deep breath, and slowly released them. And she repeated this multiple times.

Gradually, she felt so excited and her feelings were lighter. Shao Yan turned her head to him and saw he was also admiring the moon. Her glittery eyes could rival the starry skies at the moment, it's too bad that Li Xiqing missed to see them.

Her lips gradually curved up and she tugged their linked hands to bring his body slightly lower. When he least expected it, all of a sudden, her warm lips grazed his cold cheek. Shao Yan surprised him with a soft kiss, and it stunned him silly.

He looked up into her big round eyes; and he could see his own reflection in the deep pool. He felt he was drowning in all of her feelings for him. He felt sweetness all over his body, wrapped him tight.

Li Xiqing saw her innocent smile and a smug look; as if she was saying 'What? I am kissing my boyfriend, do you have any complain?'

He softly chuckled and shook his head, while thinking, 'No, wife, of course there is no complain at all.' He lifted his face back up while still smiling so wide and looked at her face. He slowly leaned down and kissed her forehead gently and lingered for a while.

'In fact, I shall welcome your kisses anytime, love. Anytime.'

"So? Have you thought of what you wanted to eat?" Li Xiqing grabbed her hand, and brought their linked hands onto his chest to bring them closer. Shao Yan walked next to him and hummed.

"Hm, I was thinking, should we eat hotpot?" she tilted her head and peeked at him, "Cool weather, pretty sky and hotpot. Don't think we are so romantic?" and then she released a wide smile at him.
