I Deserve A Second Chance Chapter 107 - Power Glue

Li Xiqing was sitting on the bed docilely; letting the wife did everything she wanted.

Shao Yan was giddy with excitement. She giggled and started to say, "Xiqing, you see, the weather has changed, right? And you need to take care of your skin. I'll put this on your face so we can keep your skin moisturized, alright?" she tried to calm down but the rush of adrenaline overrode everything. Without waiting for him to answer, Shao Yan gradually leaned in close to his face.

As her face slowly came near him, he unconsciously closed his eyelid. And then on the next second, he could feel a cool sensation on his face as the wet paper landed on his skin.

He could smell a calming floral scent. Maybe a little hint of rose? And then on the next second, he felt really light touches were skimmed over his face. Yan Yan had her fingers slowly ran on his skin, smoothed out the paper all over the surface, and gently patted his face so lightly. It was barely like a touch, so he guessed it must have been from using her fingertips.

Li Xiqing unconsciously relaxed. Her fingers moved slowly on his skin; circling around lightly and fleeting like a feather. Sometimes she ma.s.saged it. Sometimes, it would be light, irregular taps. She went around the whole face, paying attention to every creases and every corner.

His hands left his lap, and slowly traveled up her body to hold on to her waist and brought her closer. He could feel her breathing near him. He could also smell her scent mix in with the soap and the mask fragrance.

'Actually, being pampered by the wife was really not bad,' he thought.

After fifteen minutes was done, Shao Yan slowly peeled up the mask from his chin and moved gradually upwards. "Wait! Don't move yet," she quickly said when she saw Li Xiqing was about to open his eyes.

She threw away the mask, and again patted on his face lightly. When she was done, Shao Yan slowly separated herself from him, and propped one hand on top of another, while standing there in front of him and looking at his face. She was admiring her 'hard work'.

"Hmm," she slowly nodded, "Not bad, looking very handsome now." Lu Xiqing opened his eyes slowly, and he reflexively squinted as lights traveled onto his sight. Before he could see clearly, Shao Yan lean in closer and peck him in the mouth with a loud smooch, "We have to do this every week, Xiqing."

And then she happily hopped away, turning around the bed and settled down on her side of the bed.

Li Xiqing did not say anything, but he was thinking, 'As long as I get to be pampered like this, I am down with anything, wife! Bring it on!'

"Remember, I told you about the five days vacation next month?"

They were laying down on the bed, getting ready to sleep now. He had one arm under her head, serving as her pillow. She was laying down next to him, with her head leaning on his shoulder, and her hands were kept still by her side.

"Uh huh," she replied him absentmindedly, she could feel sleepiness slowly come to her, "What about it?"

He wrapped his other arm around her and brought her closer. He needed her warmth, "I'll start to arrange something for both of us, alright? We are going to j.a.pan."

He turned her around and then hugged Yan Yan from behind, spooned her close to him. He buried his face on her neck and let her fragrance hypnotized him to sleep.

"I may have to go there earlier, to settle on some stuff in the office. But let me plan on the trip so you can go only few days after me, alright?" he nudged her neck and dropped a kiss on her nape, "I don't think I want to be separated from you for a long time." His voice was m.u.f.fled, but she could feel his emotions.

Shao Yan slowly grinned, and nodded drowsily, "En. I'll leave it to you, then" and then she snuggled deeper into his arm and slowly lost herself to sleep.

The next day was hectic as usual. Shao Yan was always occupied on the phone and people just kept stopping by at her desk with questions.

Few hours before lunch time, suddenly she received an incoming text message. Shao Yan glanced at her beeping phone. She saw Feifei's name and she opened the text message.

'Xiao Yan, let's go to lunch today? I'll show you the place that will be my new cake shop!'

Feifei had been texting her a lot these two days, after she knew Shao Yan was back in the country. At first, Shao Yan was so busy that she forgot to reply, but Lu Feifei would not be called 'Power glue Feifei' in college for nothing. She kept sending Shao Yan text after text until Shao Yan finally relented and replied.

The nickname first came for being unbelievably dependant on her brother. When the Lu siblings just started university and Feifei did not have any friends. She was his brother shadow, and kept tailing Lu Qian wherever he went.

On their freshman year, their family driver still drove them back and forth from their home to the university. After few months, Lu Qian finally decided to live in the dormitory, and Feifei followed suit.

When Lu Feifei finally had some friends, however most people who had known her by the nickname, were still calling her by that. The second reason was because, Feifei kept her friends real close. To Shao Yan, the so called 'good luck' was because Feifei close friends were none other than her own roommates.

Wherever Shao Yan was, you would see Feifei. And thus, Feifei was not able to shake that nickname off her whole college life.

And today, Shao Yan was in a middle of a sales call when Feifei texted. So, she quickly typed 'Im sorry, Feifei, I have team lunch today. Let's meet tomorrow.' and then she locked the phone back and concentrated on her supplier on the other end of the call.
