I Deserve A Second Chance Chapter 19 - Miss Sea

Shao Yan stayed seated for a while. She tried to calm herself down, before she slowly stood up and took a deep breath.

Another call came in. She thought it was Li Xiqing again.

But when she looked at the caller ID, it was Miss Sea's manager.

Shao Yan sighed a relief and picked it up.

She said 'h.e.l.lo' but found that her voice was very hoa.r.s.e. She cleared a few times before her voice came back normal.

"Miss Shao, I think we are almost done here. About 10 people left. We can start tidying up and then we can leave for dinner afterwards~." Miss manager cheerfully told her on the phone.

Shao Yan thanked her and quickly walked back to their area.

The event was almost done. When Shao Yan reached the signing area, it was left with only two people. Therefore, the feeling was much friendlier.

"Miss Deep Blue Sea, can we take a picture with you?" one of the fan asked her suddenly.

"Yes ah, Miss Deep Blue Sea, none of our friends believed us when we told them that you are THIS beautiful!" His other friend also chimed in.

Miss Sea agreed to take a group picture with those two people.

"Here, give it to me", Shao Yan stepped forward and asked for the fan's mobile phone, to help them took the picture.

After all, Shao Yan had been taking a lot of pictures from today's event for her report to the company.

Taking one more was not an issue.

The two fans didn't stay behind for long. They saw that the group was already started to pack up, so they left soon after the picture was taken.

Shao Yan left the area, together with Miss Sea and her manager. The shopping mall representative brought all of them to have seafood for dinner, the staple food of city Q.

There were six of them: Shao Yan, Miss Sea, her manager, Uncle Yang, representative Huang from the shopping mall and representative Zhao from the book store.

Shao Yan was a big fan of seafood. This was her first time in city Q so she was excited to try the local dishes.

Garlic seafood noodle, sauteed clams, roasted squid, mackerel dumplings, braised sea cuc.u.mber, grilled shrimp, steamed oysters and finally whole fish cooked in clay pot.

Everyone ate with gusto. They added more and more other dishes as they ate. They also ordered few bottles of beers to warm themselves.

it's still spring time. Although it's not too cold, but it's pretty windy at night time. The night was pretty, and Shao Yan felt content.

The food seemed to be too much for them, but they inhaled them easily. Shao Yan looked at the empty plates dumbfounded.

The atmosphere was very amicable. With good food and beers, they slowly opened up and joked around.

The restaurant was within walking distance to their hotel, so Shao Yan, who initially did not want to drink alcohol, finally decided to order a beer too.

After the sumptuous dinner, both representatives walked with them to their hotel. Before they parted ways, Shao Yan reminded uncle Yang that tomorrow's event will be a bit far, so they would need to leave early.

Shao Yan, Miss Sea and the manager, said good night to each other and headed back to their own hotel room.

Shao Yan took a bath, and had gotten ready to slip under the blanket. But suddenly she jolted up.

She just remembered that Mr. w.a.n.g was still waiting for her report.

What he meant by report was actually the company blog. Shao Yan was in charge of this.

She powered on her laptop, and started working on it.

Everytime Shao Yan stayed in a hotel on her business trip, she always left the TV on to accompany her in the background so she wouldn't feel so lonely.

She left the balcony door slightly open for fresh air and she sat on the couch next to it to keep herself awake.

With her laptop sitting on her lap, she was now ready to start writing her blog.

Shao Yan kept this entry for today short, because the main point was to attract the readers to the compet.i.tion website.

She triple checked everything, before she sent it to Mr. w.a.n.g.

Shao Yan also sent all original pictures that she had taken today. In the same file, she had also included few pictures of Miss Sea that she took closed up.

Who knows, maybe Mr. w.a.n.g would change his mind! And then started chasing Miss Sea!

As Shao Yan thought about this, she couldn't help but giggled.

Shao Yan closed her laptop, and sat there for a while admiring Q city night view from her window.

Maybe because of the alcohol she had earlier, she felt a little bit mellow, and started to think about random stuff from the past.

'This is enough', she concluded in her heart, 'I feel enough'.

And then she stood up, closed all the windows and went to sleep.

The next day was the second day of the event. It would be held in an art festival.

The location was about two hour drive from their hotel.

Since the event was at noon, the group decided to leave early.

Shao Yan was having breakfast in the hotel when Miss Sea and her manager walked in.
