I Deserve A Second Chance Chapter 51 - Did You Do It?

Shao Yan stayed quiet for a long while. Li Xiqing thought she had fallen asleep.

But she suddenly continued, "Dad pa.s.sed away three years ago." she suddenly clenched her fist.

Li Xiqing looked at her face, her eyes were dull, her skin was pale. He wanted to kiss her sorrow away but he held back.

"He got into an accident while driving back from a business trip." She suddenly felt so tired, she spoke so slowly, "The neighbor's auntie called me, so I flew back. That woman was not even at his funeral."

She snorted mockingly, "People said she was away in K country, fixing her nose and she didn't want to fly back because she said.. she was bandaged and looked ugly."

Shao Yan looked back at Li Xiqing, "That's when I decided that I would never acknowledge that woman ever again in my life."

"So? Did you end up doing it?"

Qi Ling was looking at Shao Yan, waiting for her to answer. Shao Yan looked back at her with a blus.h.i.+ng face, "Stop fooling around! Just get in and put on your seatbelt."

Qi Ling complained, "Aw come on! Just answer me, yes or no, as simple as that!" Shao Yan changed the gear and started to drive out of the lobby.

Today, Shao Yan had promised Qi Ling to go shopping together. Since, Li Xiqing had brought her back directly to his place yesterday, she didn't have her car. Li Xiqing insisted for her to drive his car to pick up Qi Ling.

Li Xiqing also told her, "Come back home tonight, alright? I will be waiting for you for dinner." before Martin and Karl picked him up to go to the golf course.

Shao Yan just picked up Qi Ling, and the first question she asked Shao Yan after she got into the car, was if Shao Yan and Li Xiqing had done the deed.

Qi Ling continued, "Both of you are currently pa.s.sionately in love. I can see it in that pervert eyes that he can't wait to eat you up!"

Shao Yan just stayed silent and kept driving.

"So don't tell me nothing happened at all because I don't believe it at all!" Qi Ling roared and then she continued to nag Shao Yan.

Shao Yan really felt helpless, if she didn't say anything, Qi Ling would not stop.

Shao Yan finally said, "You were the one who told me, that it's been two years. That I should open my heart and open my legs? Remember?" Shao Yan winked at Qi Ling, "I was just following your advice!"

Qi Ling lost it, "So you guys did it??"

"I swear, I'm going to kill him! Such a pervert! Savage beast!" and she kept on ranting.

Shao Yan cut her off, "We didn't do it. Stop cursing him." Shao Yan pleaded to her, "Don't worry, he didn't force me to do anything!"

Qi Ling quieted down. She looked skeptical at Shao Yan. After a while, Qi Ling finally said, "Nothing really happened?"

Shao Yan paused and didn't answer. She was thinking how much exactly she could tell Qi Ling.

"Well.." Shao Yan bit her lower lip, "It's not that NOTHING happened." her voice gradually softened.

"um.. well.." Shao Yan really couldn't say it but her face just got redder and redder.

Qi Ling couldn't stand it anymore, "What? Just tell it straight to my face!"

Qi Ling paused, seemed to think of something. And then she asked Shao Yan softly. "Did you give him a hand? Or a blow?"

Shao Yan had her eyes opened wide and looked at Qi Ling mortified. Her mouth gaped but no words came out.

Shao Yan looked back to the road. She bit her lips and went quiet for a long while. And then Shao Yan said in a very quiet small voice, ".... hand".

Qi Ling couldn't believe her hearing. She looked shocked at Shao Yan. My innocent Shao Yan!! Qi Ling swore she would kill that brute!

But then, Shao Yan really needed to move on. Sigh. Qi Ling really need to keep her cool. Her friend was happy now. Qi Ling was tormented in between.

"And then? How was it?" Qi Ling asked curiously.

Shao Yan asked her back, "What do you mean? Nothing more, just that."

Qi Ling continued, "I mean, who's better? Don't tell me you didn't compare them!" Qi Ling jabbed her elbow at Shao Yan. "Who's bigger?"

"Qi Ling!!!"

Shao Yan really looked at her speechless. She was not going to talk about that at all!

They decided to go to the newly open mall at the South. Qi Ling did not actually look for anything. She was here for a sole purpose of accompanying Shao Yan to look for a dress for the anniversary party.

Since Shao Yan was the main person in charge of the party, she didn't want to wear something complicated or too long. She was looking for something at ankle length or shorter.

After they circled few shops for a while, Shao Yan finally decided to try something on. Qi Ling picked few dresses for her. Since Shao Yan had light complexion, it's easier to find good colors for her.

"Here, try this one" Qi Ling handed her a silver grey Greek style dress. It's a beaded dress at the top part. With silver buckles on both shoulders. The chest part had a deep V line.

The back was even more amazing. It was backless with only two strings of Swarovski chain continuing from the front, to the spine all the way to the waist.

Shao Yan looked at it, and was skeptical that she could pull it off. But she still took it from Qi Ling.

Shao Yan herself had picked a maroon dress. It's a one-shoulder dress, made from very light chiffon silk. It had gold leaves ornaments on the shoulder down to the chest area.

Subtle sparkles could be seen from the bottom part of the dress from the gold flakes that was spread all around the dress, made it very cla.s.sy and elegant.

Qi Ling also approved this one, so Shao Yan decided to try both dresses.

They spent the whole afternoon playing around. Shao Yan ended up with a lot of stuff. Qi Ling also bought several clothes and jewelries.

When they were about to leave, Shao Yan received a call.

"Where are you?"

Li Xiqing deep calm voice rumbled through the receiver. Shao Yan was reminded of their activity this morning and she couldn't help but blushed.

"Still at the mall" she unconsciously spoke softer.

"I will have Martin drop me there. Wait for me, we will go home together." Li Xiqing confirmed their meeting place and then he hung up.

Qi Ling rolled her eyes, "Your man really can't be separated from you for too long? It's only been few hours!"

Shao Yan could only smile shyly.

"You don't understand. You should get a boyfriend soon too!" Shao Yan laughed cheekily, which earned her a smack on the head from Qi Ling.
