Lin Chu wanted to tell him to drop her off somewhere in front and she would go home on her own. It was more important for him to bring the kid to dinner.

However, the refined voice of Yan Beicheng was faintly heard. "Ningbai's hungry."

"If I bring him to dinner after sending you home, he would be starving to death by that time," Yan Beicheng said.

"…" Lin Chu finally suggested what was on her mind in a hesitant tone. "How about I get off in front?"

Yan Beicheng lifted his eyebrows. "Abandoning you halfway after I promised to send you home? What did you take me for?" Lin Chu felt that he was actually offended by her words, and suddenly she did not know what to say.

"You probably haven't eaten anything tonight too. Come with us," Yan Beicheng said indistinctly.

"…" Lin Chu realized that she actually did not know him that well. "I don't think it's right to trouble you so much."

He glanced at her from the corner of his jet-black eyes. "So it's not troublesome for me to send you home, make a huge turn and then only bring him to dinner? Do you feel that it's right to starve Ningbai? He's only six years old and he needs extra care."

Lin Chu said, "There's a subway station in front. Why don't you just drop me there? There's actually a station near my house."

Yan Beicheng replied, "Abandoning you halfway after I promised to send you home? What did you take me for?"

Yan Beicheng wanted to throw his clueless ally out of the car really badly. He grabbed the phone coldly and placed it on his ears.

He hurriedly said, "I can't talk while I'm driving." Then he immediately hung up and tossed the phone back to Yan Ningbai.

Lin Chu heard Yan Ningbai calling Yan Beicheng big nephew, but Yan Beicheng put on his emotionless front and seemed to be unfazed by it. However, she could feel that deep down, he actually felt wronged.
