The next few days on the set was busy, especially for Ren.

As the male lead of the drama, Ren had to shoot many scenes with many other actors and actresses.

Each day, he would be dead tired after the shooting and sometimes, he will even sleep in the van.

Thanks to this, his friends.h.i.+p with the other actors and actresses had gotten better but there was still a problem that was concerning him.

It was about Xiao Rin.

He had still not gotten over his doubt about her and after his talk with White bear, he was looking for an opportunity to talk to her.

But he still hasn't gotten over a chance until now.

Coincidentally, he was able to get sometime alone with Xiao Rin today as there was a indoor shoot and they were in the same room.

There was also n.o.body in the room to disturb them. It was the perfect opportunity for Ren to interrogate Xiao Rin.

"Xiao Rin, I want to ask you something?"

"What do you want to ask me, Brother Ren?"

Sitting in front of him, Xiao Rin was somewhat restless. It was because she was kind of running away from Ren these past few days.

Although they were doing their scenes normally, the sense of distance between them was kind of getting longer everyday.

"Tell me honestly, do you like...??"

"I don't!!"

Before Ren could even ask his question, Xiao Rin instantly jumped down from her seat as she shouted.

"Do you really not?"

"I told you I don't, Brother Ren. Why are you asking that sort of nonsensical question?"

"So, is it okay if I date someone?"

'She flinched!'

Although it was just for a second, Ren was able to see her flinch when he asked that question.

"What are you saying that, Brother Ren. I don't care about you dating someone."

Xiao Rin held herself back in an instant there and returned the answer with a smile on her face.

'It's acting!'

Ren thought as he looked at Xiao Rin's smiling face. He was continuously doing scenes with her at close distance, he can at least tell if she was acting or not.

And she was definitely acting currently. He felt that there was a big cyclone in her inside but she was holding that with all her might.

'Let's try to entice her more!'

Ren thought as he started to form a plan in his mind.

"You know I was invited into my high school reunion recently and there was a girl I used to like in my high school. So, I was thinking of meeting with her there."

Ren was not making any lies at that moment, he was indeed invited to his high school reunion and there was indeed a girl he used to like in high school and he was even planning to meet her.

There was not a ounce of lie in it. It's just that he used to like her 24 years ago and him meeting her would just be as friends.

He was not telling a lie here, he was just distorting the truth.

"Really! Then, I will hope that you two will get together."

Ren sighed when he heard her response. Xiao Rin was in her acting mode right now.

He didn't think that his plans would work on her, so he straightly asked.

"Xiao Rin, do you really not like me?"

"So, why are you so distracted these days."

Xiao Rin blinked her eyes a few times before opening and closing her mouth like she didn't knew what to say.

After some seconds, she finally opened her mouth.

"I, I was sad because I thought you were ignoring me. I thought you would be taken away from me. I know I am being selfish but….."

Xiao Rin stopped her sentence in the middle of it and Ren pondered over her words.

While it was true that he was spending less time with her than usual and Xiao Rin would obviously feel lonely as her trauma is still not over.

She can feel lonely and sad and need someone to rely on right now and Ren was that someone for her but is it really all there is to the story.

"Hey, Xiao Rin, is there really nothing else to it."

"I told you there is nothing else."

As they were talking, there was a knock on the door.

"Sir, the scene is ready and the director wanted to discuss something from you."

It was a staff member voice who had come to call out Ren.

Ren sighed when he heard that as he replied.

"I am coming."

"It looks like the scene is ready."

Ren said towards Xiao Rin as he stood up and stepped towards the door.

As his hands were on the door handle, Xiao Rin's voice came from behind.

"Brother Ren, I heard from Director Kang that dating would be detrimental on your career currently. I don't think you should date someone at the moment but it's just my opinion."

Ren stopped there for a second when he heard that but he went out of the room as he replied.

"I know and don't worry about it."

After Ren left the room, Xiao Rin put a hand on her chest as she took a deep breathe.

'I nearly slipped out there.'

Xiao Rin thought as she slapped her cheek. She reprimanded herself to take care of it from now on.

Although it was okay this time, she didn't knew when she would slip up and show her true feelings.

"Idiot! I made Brother Ren worried because of my jealousy."

Xiao Rin said as she scolded herself. The reason she was getting distracted and is restless on the set was because she was jealous of Ren talking with other actress, especially Chen Mei.

She knew that she was thinking too much but she can't help it. She wasn't able to stop her jealousy like she can't stop her lov...

Anyway, she felt sad that she made Ren worried about her but she also felt happy that he was at least worried about her.

It means that he at least cared for her.

'I wonder if I can be honest next time.'

Xiao Rin thought as she felt embarra.s.sed about it.

She knew that she was not being honest with herself but she had a feeling that she would be rejected if she let out her feelings currently.

That's why she was waiting for a right time.

"I hope the time comes quickly...."

Xiao Rin muttered that in the empty room with a unexplainable expression on her face.
