"Hi!" a female voice said from ahead of him, startling Marcel who had been removing his shoes. Marcel blinked in surprise before removing the sungla.s.ses he was wearing.
"h.e.l.lo," he responded with a small smile as if he was unsure of how he should react. Luckily for him, the girl also wasn't sure of how she should be reacting because she was stunned into silence. Marcel continued to smile politely as he dragged his suitcase into the house. His eyes searched for a place to put it and ended up feeling awkward from how much the girl had already been staring at him.
"Oh, sorry, you can just place your bag over there. We're all in the living room" the girl said and led him to the living room. The moment he appeared in the living room, another six pairs of eyes turned their attention to him.
"Hi," Marcel said with a nervous expression on his face as he walked forward to greet everyone else. There were already three guys excluding him, and four girls that had already arrived. He then spotted a vacant spot between a guy and a girl and went to sit down as he felt like he was in some sort of interview when he was the only standing.
Everyone was silent, and he was looking around the house with an impressed expression. It was a very big and beautiful house. He could tell just from the facilities how much they were expecting from them.
"Excuse me but, what is your name?" the girl that was sitting next to him asked him.
"Oh, how rude of me, I'm Marcel," he answered with an apologetic smile and looked at her in askance for her name.
"Oh, I'm Lauren, it's a pleasure," she said but didn't smile back. 'Interesting' Marcel observed internally but outwardly he was unphased by her unusual reaction. He knew that people would normally smile at people who smile at them, even if they are strangers. Marcel turned to look at everyone else, and they all introduced themselves.
"I'm Chloe," the girl who came to receive him said. Marcel smiled at her, and his eyes met another person's asking for an introduction.
"I'm Nicholas, but just call me Nick," one of the guys said.
"Nice to meet you," Marcel said while maintaining his polite smile.
"Jeremy, you seem quite young," Jeremy who was sitting next to him said and Marcel laughed off his comment. He is young physically, but he was sure that he could have been his auntie in the past.
"I'm Adrian," the last guy said and Marcel nodded in his direction as well.
"I'm Ellie," a blue-eyed blonde said as she scrutinized Marcel. He almost broke character when their eyes met. She was very beautiful to say the least, but he had the nagging feeling that she will test his patience during the stay.
"I'm Lydia, nice to meet you," the last girl said as she smiled shyly. Marcel could feel his eyebrows twitch when he saw the way she was behaving. What was wrong with her?
"It's a pleasure to meet all of you, is it just-" Marcel was going to ask a question but was interrupted by someone opening the door. Before anyone could respond, Chloe got up to go check on who it was. Marcel thought she sounded cheerful when she greeted him, but her voice was an octave higher when she greeted the person that entered.
They didn't have to be curious for too long as a tall guy appeared before them shortly. He hadn't even bothered responding to Chloe, who seemed to be disappointed about it. He was an attention magnet that even Marcel couldn't underestimate. His black hair was neatly done, and he was even wearing a white s.h.i.+rt with black pants that did not have half a wrinkle on them.
His charm especially lay in his heavy-lidded eyes. He naturally looked like he couldn't be bothered with anything, Marcel couldn't help but admire that feature of his that seemed to be honed by his own personality.
Marcel looked at the new guest and almost laughed. He had never lived with a large group of people who were similar in age, if he didn't count the time at the orphanage, and even then he was the oldest there. He figured that things were bound to get interesting in the house.
Shortly after the silent new member arrived, a red-haired girl arrived as well. She introduced herself as Micah and found her place next to Jeremy. Right after she introduced herself, they all received a text message on their private phones detailing on their living arrangements and more on how things were going to work.
The episodes are going to air as they go and there will be a two-day delay between filming and the days the episodes air. There was going to be three episodes aired every week and they will be no filming on Sundays, otherwise, there are cameras stationed in every corner of the house with the exception of the bathrooms.
Marcel checked to see if there was anything that they were not allowed to do but saw that there was no such rule. He smiled internally at this because he could tell that the producers were hoping for a lot of drama. He only saw at the bottom that physical fights and bullying will result in immediate termination of the contract. Besides, it wasn't like anyone of them would be stupid enough to do something so reckless if they are seriously pursuing a career in modelling.
After the lengthy message that they received, another message detailing on the rooms that they would be using arrived. The house had four bedrooms, so the ten of them were split into four rooms.
"Shall we tour the house?" Jeremy asked as he stood up from the sofa. Marcel immediately stood up after him and followed him up the stairs to the first floor, while others went to see the kitchen and others went to the backyard.
Marcel looked at the door that was marked with the initials A u0026 M, which was identical to what they sent to him in the message.
He opened the door and saw that the room was quite s.p.a.cious with two beds on opposite sides of the room. He checked the adjoined bathroom and was very satisfied with it before going to the closet. He secretly thought of the day he would be able to afford a place like this and a smile appeared on his face.
As he went back to the bedroom, he was face to face with the last male member that hadn't bothered to introduce himself earlier. He was bringing in his luggage to the room and his eyes slightly widened in surprise when he saw Marcel in the room.
"Are you using this room?" he asked Marcel. His voice was deeper than he had expected.
"Ah, yes. It looks like we'll be sharing this s.p.a.ce," Marcel answered with a smile.
"What's your name?" he suddenly asked Marcel.
"Oh, it's Marcel, and you?" Marcel asked curiously.
"Alistair, Alistair Corr," he answered.
"It's nice to meet you," Marcel said before picking a bed and going to sit on it.
"I'll use this bed, it's okay with you right?" Marcel asked and Alistair nodded as he headed to the bed on the other side.
"Marcel, I only have one request as we share this room," Alistair suddenly said. Marcel looked at him curiously while waiting for him to say what he wanted.
"Don't touch my things," Alistair said, and Marcel almost laughed out loud. He also didn't like other people touching his things, okay?
"Okay," Marcel agreed good-naturedly.
"Also, try not to be messy," Alistair said and clamped up like the conversation was over.
u003cHe doesn't have mysophobia, right? u003e Marcel asked Avian.
[Do you want me to do a background check?] Avian asked.
u003cYou can do that? u003e Marcel asked in surprise.
[Not before, but I can find out what is publicly known now after the upgrade] Avian answered.
u003cNo, if I know everything it won't be as excitingu003e Marcel answered him and a slight smile appeared on his face.
