From that moment to whatever moment I found myself either at the end of a gun or handing over terms of surrender to Leopold Marofo, began the most stressful days of my life.
We'd given the order to begin the operation to the troops and all priority one regiments; Helgen, Peridot and Upsilon were set.
Helgen had been given the order to move in with the rest of our men on ground and begin placing pressure on the enemy at one point in the theather, a point we'd marked as a soft spot.
But the soft spot wasn't as soft as the name implied, it was simply the least defended front with less close air support and rather non-existent bombers flying through as our squads advanced over their lines. That still left the men, their tanks, heavy artillery and often anti-tank weaponry.
Without my interference with the War tab and the communication device allowing me to speak to squad captains on ground, it would take months if not years to achieve the success Operation Good Culture was meant to bring and by that time the plans would have been reformed at least twice.
But the country didn't have a large man power reserve and I wasn't about to begin conscriptions of the thousands to fend off the Malagasy, even worse was the country's economic state, we owed a lot in trade to the Namibian's and they were a crucial partner we needed to have in recovering after the war.
What we did have though, was my powers. As much as I loathe Being X, I am glad it gave me these powers. With the intervention of my powers, I could easily estimate the time we needed to break through their soft spot would be two weeks.
Even with me in the ear of every captain detailing the positions of the enemy on the field, I wasn't omnipresent or omnipotent. I also wasn't in charge of how the men moved. I could tell them where to go, where not to go, when to camp and when to wake up but how fast they did all that depended on them alone.
With all the variables that glared ma.s.sive failure for my plan, I still couldn't afford to ignore the growing suspicions of the populace of my country.
I stood out in the open, walking around the empty streets of the palace with Matthias right beside me.
"You still haven't told me what you think of my plan, Matthias."
I hated to ask really, but the only other persons who could give me an opinion right now would be the generals. I look over my shoulder and as always, Alex trailed a safe distance behind me, for whatever reason he'd been close, closer than he'd been as a cousin, perhaps he was just realizing himself as a general. I didn't mind it much, but now that I was with Matthias I couldn't help but find his trotting mildly annoying.
"I'm not military man, Hasina, whatever opinion I have would be taken out from what little experience I have with war movies."
Another deflection. He'd been avoiding answering the question ever since he picked me up from the airport and coupled with my annoyance that Alex still trailed after us, I could help grind my teeth at the rinsed reply he'd just given.
"The only other man whose opinion on this I value is in a coma, Matthias!" I sigh, quickly pulling myself together and slapping a smile on my face.
"You haven't been taking care of yourself, Hasina."
With a cough I clear out my throat and clench my shaking hands, "I'm sorry I snapped, Matthias, it's just, everything is riding on this. This is it for us Matthias, all of us. This war will determine the future of this country."
"Don't worry about Luciano, don't worry about the war, you've set things in place the best that you can and you have men with good heads on their shoulders to take over operations." He shrugged and added, "If you want me to tell you your plan is fool proof, I can't, I won't lie to you about something so important, especially when I'm no expert on the matter."

"So, so what do I do then? Should I review the plan? Make a better one?"
"Relax, as much as you've told me, even though I do think the lot of it is imaginary, this is the best plan you have and it's one you've designed with the help of the gifts of this 'G.o.d'" he doesn't bother hiding his disbelief at the notion but indulges me anyway, "The same 'G.o.d' you spoke of during the Chiefs crisis. I think that turned out pretty well and Luciano and I were of the mind to leave the country. If you want to feel better, you should realize that if this 'G.o.d' is as real as you say, then your plan, might as well be the best military operation in the world."
My mouth made a strange sound as it parted open. It took me a while to realize it was a laugh, I laughed again and again, holding onto Matthias and my stomach as I did. I did this for about a minute before stopping.
"Did that feel good?" Matthias asked
"Ha! Yes, yes it did."
"Good, let's get a picture while you still have that smile on." He waves over the horde of camera crews and reporters that'd been filming our walk for PR. Apparently, a lot of rumours were going around that I had died in the war and panic was beginning to spread amongst the populace.
"Here, take a picture will ya?" Matthias requests as he hands over his phone to one of the Lynx media cameramen.
We stand together, Matthias, still a head taller than me wraps his arm over me and matches my grin. I feel him shoo away Alex who'd thought this was a group photo and laugh, just as the shutter clicks away.
I wasn't worried anymore.
