No Matter How Long Time Passes, I Still Love You Chapter 39: A Way To Win Someone's Heart

- What happened the same night-

After spending their afternoon at Jasmine Tea House, Lily forgot that she had a date with her fiance, so she had to reluctantly let Susu off for the night. Still, Lily insist on driving Susu home because she wasn't feeling well earlier. Before they left, Susu had ordered Chen Mu's favorite dessert to go.

Lily made a soft noise, a hmmm, as she stared at how specific Susu was when she ordered the dessert. When Susu met her eyes, she blushed, "W..what?"

"So~ Who is the lucky man getting all these goodies? Hmm? Even when you were infatuated by that jerk, you weren't this caring to order food to go when we go out to eat~ And I know you would prefer Mango Sago over that dessert."

Lily's finger twist playfully on a strand of her fringe, "Well? My darling~"

Susu took a deep breath and averted her gaze, "I forgot to tell you something."

"Uh huuuuh!" Lily's eyes sparked with interest as her palms laid flat on the table and her body leaned forward to listen to some explosive news. 'Was my G.o.ddess targeting another creature?! Is she finally opening up her wild side and chasing after some young meat?'

"I had no place to stay, so I ended up moving in with...Chen Mu. Anndddd nothing else happened between us so keep those deep s.e.xy intimidating eye sights from me or I'll kiss you and snap a selfie to your fiance~" Susu made a smooch lip motion and blew a flying kiss at Lily.

Lily smiled, responded by doing a hand catch motion with her palms and patted it to her chest like her small heart needed it, "So, so? Don't tell me you don't feel the slightest eensy teeeeeeensy thing for him! I remember that he is a good-looking dude that could make females drool! So~ Does this little heart over here go bathump, bathump when you see him?" She had a talent for digging dirt out of Susu.

Suddenly, the picture of Chen Mu in an ap.r.o.n and his smile appeared somewhere in her thoughts making her gasp and cover her cheeks, "Stop putting weird thoughts into my mind! My virgin mind!!!"

"PFffft, Hahahahah, oh come on darling!!! You lost that V-card mindset the moment you saw Chen mu at his place! Sheees.h.!.+ Blame it on me~ Just blame it all you want on me~" Susu's dessert order was wrapped and finished by the time her flushed cheeks had calmed down to her natural peachy blush color.

Susu went back to Chen Mu's place after Lily dropped her off. She took a deep breath and said, "I'm home!" The smile on her face matched the sweetness in her voice as she tiptoed to the kitchen where Chen Mu was concentrated on cooking, "Daa dunn~ Your favorite Ube soup with taro b.a.l.l.s and glutinous rice b.a.l.l.s~"

She giggled when she finished giving him a surprise, "whatchu coooking?" Her accurately trained nose after many years of self-culinary sessions triggered mouth watering effects as she walked closer to the man in an ap.r.o.n, who seemed unaffected by her dessert special.

He was staring at the sizzling steak, waiting for the right second to flip it, so he didn't hear a word that she had said. The steak looked amazing as its juice flowed on the pan with the uniquely chopped vegetables shaped like hearts and stars already placed neatly on the plate by the kitchen counter.

The fresh scent of marinated steak and the juice that laid perfectly on its surface made her imagine the melting sensation of a piece of that meat in her mouth. Even though she had eaten already, her stomach couldn't help but growl at the sight of such deliciousness.

"It's done!" He smiled warmly as his eyes met the perfectly on point medium rare steak and carefully positioned it on the plate of vegetables. Seeing the juicy steak, he felt as if he could see the beautiful smile on her face as she enjoys the steak later.

"That looks so good!!!! Any girl is as lucky as steak to have you as their partner!" Her voice almost made him lost his balance and his eyes slowly looked towards the right to find the girl's hungry gaze.

He let out a huge phew sound, put the cooking tools down and pinched her cheeks lightly, "Welcome back~~ But did you think that I would cook for just anyone? Sheesh, even my parents haven't tasted my skills."

She reached for his nose and pinched it between her index and middle finger, "Aiyo~~ Brag a little more and this nose will stretch out like a carrot!" They stared at each other and laughed for a while before sitting down at the dining table. While he enjoyed his dessert, she had her steak.

Though she loved eating steak, she hated using knives and forks. Seeing her frown with the knife and fork in her hands, he smiled and took them out of her hands, "Here, I'll cut it for you."

Noticing that there was only one serving of the steak, she asked, "Did you eat already?" He nodded in response and smiled, "I know you wouldn't have eaten much without me putting food to your plate. Let me guess." His eyes landed on the dessert that she brought home for him, "You only ate some sweets."

"...How could you be this accurate every time?" She mumbled and focused on her food.

She watched as he carefully sliced the steak in perfect bite sizes for her. His actions reminded her of the days when she did everything for Tian Yuo, and how he didn't appreciate the smallest detailed step that she paid attention to about his habits. Now, someone else was helping her cut the steak. Not only that, he made food for her.

"Chen Mu, you treat me so well. I'll miss this if you ever get yourself a girlfriend." She sighed softly. The next second, a piece of steak was fed to her, making her forget about all the complicated stuff in her head. Cupping her cheeks, she closed her eyes and chewed, "Mmm.. Perfect!"

Chen Mu smiled, "As long as you like it, I will always cook for you."

"Why?" she looked up and met his warming smile.

"Why what?"

"Why are you so good to me?"

"Because I believe that to capture someone's heart, I need to first take over their stomach." The fork in his hand pointed downwards towards her tummy, making her blush.

"Y..you are teasing me again! Sheesh, eat your dessert!" She looked away from his gaze.

"Aye~ Look over here."

"Hmph!"

"Ohhh~ If you don't turn your head over, then I guess I'll have to eat your steak for you~Ahhh~" he opened his mouth slightly and slowly brought the piece of steak that was on hi fork towards his mouth.

"Nooo" She leaned over and ate the piece of steak, clueless that she was just two inches from his lips. After they maintained eye contact for a few minutes, he broke the silence as he could no longer control the heavy metal drummer from pounding on his heart, he teased and said, "Is my steak not enough to satisfy you that you want me for dessert?"

Feeling her cheeks burn from embarra.s.sment, she covered her eyes like a school girl would after kissing her first love for the first time. Seeing her reaction made him chuckle lowly, "Alright, here, here. I'll eat my dessert, and you go on with the steak. I'll save you some glutinous rice b.a.l.l.s since you like eating them too for your dessert."

The rest of their meal was all peace and smiles.
