After laughing and hugging for a while, Susu's stomach growled, "I forgot I haven't eaten..."
Chen Mu dotingly rubbed her head, held her hand and headed back to the car, "Then let's go fill your tummy up. What do you want to eat?"
"Mmmmm~~ Lots of vegetables and little to no oil dishes!" She swung their hands back and forth as they walked back to the car.
"Then let's head to the supermarket and buy the freshest vegetables. I'll make dinner for you since other places use a lot of oil to make foods." He opened the door with his free hand and helped her settle in the pa.s.senger seat like a gentleman.
She smiled and nodded, "Okayyy, then I'll also help out for dinner. We can cook together~"
After going to the supermarket, they went back home and prepared for their meal. In the middle of stir frying vegetables, Chen Mu suddenly remembered Tian Yuo's words of remaining married when they were at the restaurant earlier.
"What did Tian Yuo mean by remaining married? Didn't you two sign the divorce papers?" he asked, sounding confused.
"I don't know either. I already received the copy of the official divorced notice. We are already divorced? His brain has been functioning pretty weird lately, I didn't understand a word that he was saying. He placed low tricks to try to prevent me from signing the divorce papers." She finally got to complain about his d.a.m.n actions in the elevator. Luckily she had her pepper spray stick with her or else she might have been taken advantage of.
"What do you mean by he tried to prevent you from signing the divorce papers? Didn't I drop you off at Tian Corps the other time? What did he do?" The vegetables were perfectly done so he turned off the fire and poured the food into a clean plate before bringing it to the dinner table. At the same time, the meat dish that she was making also finished, so she followed after him to the dining table with the food in her hand.
After helping each other with the rice and pa.s.sing utensils, Susu responded, "He made the elevator stop midway and trapped me with him to try to talk me out of divorcing him. At one point, he tried to take advantage of me and cornered me..."
"He did what?! Were you okay? Did that b.a.s.t.a.r.d do anything to you?!!" The chopsticks in his hand almost snapped in half.
"Relax, relax. Everything was fine. I carried my pepper spray with me, and I attacked him out of defense. I snuck into the lawyer's office and signed the new divorce papers the same day. Not long after, a copy of the processed divorce was delivered to me. I could even show you it." She placed a few pieces of meat on top of his rice.
"I'll take a look at it later." His heart was still racing rapidly from the news that she was almost a.s.saulted in Tian Corps just because a jerk wanted to keep her as his wife for no reason.
"You don't trust me?" She frowned slightly.
He put his chopsticks down, got up from his seat, and rubbed her cheeks in his palms, "It's not that I don't trust you. I don't trust Tian Corps and Tian Yuo enough. What if the divorce papers that they sent over were fake, and you are actually still married to him? I don't want any chances of sly tricks come across us in the future that could affect our relations.h.i.+p."
Her lips curved upwards and revealed the same blossoming smile from before. His fingers subconsciously reached her lips and rubbed it in the motion of how one would apply lip balm to their lips. The way her eyelids fell nearly shut, and she subconsciously bit her bottom lip slightly aroused his desires to taste her lips.
His body bent forward and her lips pursed when she felt him getting closer. The next second she heard chewing sounds and felt slight movements from the chopsticks that her hand was holding. She opened her eyes to see him enjoying the vegetables that were originally between her chopsticks, now in his mouth.
"Mmmm... the food is good." he smiled.
Her brow raised slightly as she stared at him with an Elvish smile, "Oh? Is the vegetable that good?"
She placed the chopsticks on the table and stood up to wrap her arms around his neck. He gulped in response and looked down at the girl smiling seductively at him with her slightly parted glossy lips s.h.i.+mmering alluringly under the kitchen lights.
Her fingers drew circles on the back of his neck, and she minimized the gap between them, leaving a small distance where his lips could feel her breathing, "Well?"
Under her sweet temptation, he pulled her close by her waist and lowered his head to meet her lips. The softness of her lips and the fact that she belonged to him made the kiss extra special. The small pecks became aggressive as they yearned for more.
The warmness of their tongues tangling and exploring the other's territory heightened their affection for each other; as if they could become one from bonding through a kiss. Their kiss felt like it lasted for a long time, but it was merely four minutes. Their eyes remained eye contact as they panted breathlessly.
Their foreheads b.u.mped against each other lightly and small laughs escaped their mouths as they cuddled while standing. When they realized that they had forgotten about eating, it was when their stomachs growled as a warning. Fortunately, the food was still warm after their kisses and hugs.
Meanwhile, Zin Leung was complaining on the phone to Chen Mu's parents for his behavior during dinner. He was so angry that he threatened with terminating his contract and ending their long-term friends.h.i.+p. Karen was sobbing hysterically while the phone call took place, making the situation even more complicated.
Chen Mu received a text from his parents, "Come home right away."
