Chen Mu's a.s.sistant did what he was told and brought Yin Zin Leung and Karen to Chen Mu's office. After they had entered, his a.s.sistant left quickly after sensing a strong tension lingering in the deadly atmosphere in the office. It was as if an extra inhalation in the room would spike through his organs and melt his blood in molten lava.

Once the doors closed, Chen Mu flipped through his files impatiently, "Would CEO Yin get to the point? I am a busy man."

Zin Leung bent his fingers making rock shaped fists, "Business is business. Private matters should remain as private matters. If you don't know how to separate these two subjects, I will not press this against you as long as you reverse everything."

"Oh? And what would CEO Yin mean by reversing the situation? You mean to announce that the termination of our future possible contracts and business relations.h.i.+ps were a mistake on our side? Or do you mean that we should shake hands and make up as business partners because you're an old friend of the Chen family?" Chen Mu leaned back comfortably against his chair while maintaining eye contact with the father and daughter pair in front of him.

"Of course as your family's old friend, I would always let the past be the past. I'll brush off your flaws like a joke as you are still young and naive to business. You could avoid apologizing to me for your inexcusable ill-mannered behavior from the other time. I will be the elder holding the big heart. So, now that we are over with this event. How about returning the business to normal?"

Zin Leung didn't dare speak in a loud tone. He believed that Chen Mu, who was always a filial son to his parents, would never take the step this far. As long as he stepped backwards a step to give him some s.p.a.ce to step down from the stage with pride, then Chen Mu would take back the termination decision.

Unfortunately, Zin Leung did not notice his faults and why he had infuriated the Chen's greatly. Chen Mu almost laughed out the mockery filled words as he continued, "Excuse me, as you've already said. Private matters should be handled privately. Why would you come in during office hours to talk about private matters? What does that have to do with terminating the contracts with your company? CEO Yin, it seems like you are not too clear of your own points."

While they were speaking back and forth, Karen's eyes wandered around the huge s.p.a.cious office. She compared his office to Tian Yuo's small one. Even though Tian Yuo's was big enough, it certainly was nothing compared to Chen Mu's cla.s.sy styled room. 'How great would it be if I were the mistress of the Chen family?' she thought silently to herself until she felt a nudge on the elbow coming from her father's side.

The reason why Zin Leung brought Karen along was not that he thought she could seduce Chen Mu. He believed that even though she isn't Chen Mu's type of ideal girl to date, she was still Susu's stepsister. Regardless of how bad the situation is, as long as Karen sheds a few tears, no men would be able to resist her. In addition to that, he still had Susu as his gold card. Therefore, he was quite confident in winning over Chen Mu.

Karen walked up to Chen Mu's desk and placed her fingers on the edge of his desk. "Brother Chen Mu... I was wrong the other night. I shouldn't have treated sister that way. It's just that I felt wronged, and you see, Brother Tian Yuo liked me. He didn't love sis even though they've slept together many times already. He told me she was just a used rag."

Her voice was already pitchy to begin with, but when she started blabbing about Susu in front of him, he reached his maximum tolerance to this family. He slammed his palms flat against the table, rolling the pens on his desk onto the floor, "First, I don't have a sister. Second, I warn you to shut that disgusting mouth of yours. If you dare spit you one more word about Susu, then I guarantee your family a great future; bankruptcy."

Karen bit her lips out of envy that a man as intelligent as him would stand up for Susu, so she challenged his patience and spoke, "What? What I just said was the truth! Just because Tian Yuo fell for me, doesn't mean my family should suffer! Don't forget Susu is also a part of the Yin family. If you destroy her family, she will end everything with you."

She threatened with her sharp words aiming at his worst fear. Zin Leung smirked and stepped up, "Chen Mu, don't blame Uncle Yin for being straightforward, but did you think that Susu would really not care about her family's business? She's already contacted me telling me that she will cut off ties with you if you destroy us. If your feelings for her are genuine, then this would be the time to prove it. Plus, you have no reasons to terminate business with us."

None of the walls in Chen Mu's office were soundproof, therefore, everything that was said had been heard and processed through Susu's mind. Many words made her roll her eyes in annoyance and others were filled with heartache. How could her father use her as a chess piece like that? Ridiculous bulls.h.i.+t.

The door creaked open, capturing everyone's attention as Susu walked confidently with her arms crossed towards Chen Mu. She didn't even lay one glance at her father and stepsister. "Sorry I'm late, darling. I was taking a nap until some maggots crawled in here and disrupted my peace."

She naturally walked around the desk and sat on his lap with her arms wrapped around his shoulder. After settling herself in a comfortable position, she tilted her head to the two familiar figures in front of her. Like a dominant queen, her words sounded like commands to her fellow peasants, "Scram while you still can. Don't beg when you lose this chance. My last warning."

Her eyes stared icily through their souls as gooseb.u.mps spread on Zin Leung and Karen's body. The intensive gaze coming from her made them feel like ants were crawling up their pants. They were feeling extremely unsettled.
