Chapter 3: I Am Your Mother… Part 1

Gu Yuanyuan's mind went black for a moment after she heard the doctor's reason. Dr. Gu, on the other hand, didn't think too deeply about her expression or even curious about what her thinking, instead, he just urged her: "Follow me."

She obediently followed behind him in silence.

Looking at the broad back of the doctor, a series of 'snap' resounded inside her mind, like a string of cords suddenly snapped broken.

The man had a surname Gu, a very skilled doctor, an excellent medical expertise, and a thought that she looked like her dead mother. With so many coincidences that were all presented, she would be an idiot if didn't know who this person really was.

While on the contrary, the second son and the youngest son was convinced that their mother was not that kind of person. They persisted on their ideas until several years had pa.s.sed, and even though they're unwilling, in their hearts, they determined that Gu Yuanyuan had already died.

During the time Gu Yuanyuaun transmigrated into this book, and later realized that she was still a teenager, which was very contradicting to the story, she knew by that time that the plot of the book had already changed. So, she deduced that her four sons were definitely not born around this time.

Seeing her nodding obediently like a child, Gu Yizhou pursed his lower lip. He s.h.i.+fted his gaze to her bare ankle and then noticed a bluish-purple bruise on her fair skin. 

He frowned at the sight. Worried, he swiftly took out his phone and asked: "Do you want me to call the police?"

Gu Yuanyuan simply shook her head. She didn't want to call the police.

With that pervert, Lu Wenchen's network, she was certain that he had some kind of connection to the law enforcement, and if she were to call the police, she would only throw herself into that man's trap.

Noticing her refusal, Gu Yizhou thought that, maybe Gu Yuanyuan had some kind of quarrel or some small argument with her boyfriend, and that maybe she's just having a temper as an excuse or something. So, with this situation, could the police even interfere?

Gu Yizhou only said nothing as he put his phone back, and then turned to leave.

Gu Yuanyuan looked around and a.s.sessed the whole office. She perceived that this place was about a dozen square meters in size. It was not very s.p.a.cious in her opinion but, it was enough for someone to work alone.

On the desk, one could see a small stack of doc.u.ments and some cases. There was also a picture frame right next to the computer, which contained a photo of him and other hospital staff.

Standing in the middle of the group, Gu Yizhou was looking neat and fresh with his clean temperament and his deep eyes. Also, he was wearing his usual white coat on his tall body. With him looking so immaculate on it, he could instantly be compared to his colleagues around him.

Gu Yuanyuan looked at the picture with a motherly smile on her face, clearly showing a sign of happiness.

Her son was really handsome.
