"Let's go." Yang Zheyan took Xiong Jingfei by the hand and put her in the pa.s.senger seat. "I'll take you to your destination."

He leaned in to seatbelt her, and at the same time, he met with her shocked wide eyes. Reminding him of a frightened rabbit. Holding back his laughter, he cleared his throat, "Aren't you in a hurry?"

'I don't go with strangers!' Xiong Jingfei wrote down on her tablet and tapped the screen furiously with her fingers. She bit her bottom lips. She hated that a part of her wanted to give in to his offer, tempting indeed.

The little angel and devil sitting on her shoulders were bickering what was morally right and wrong. The little devil her was saying she needed to be there today for the scene, and the director will not stop the entire filming just for her. So she should just take his offer plus he doesn't look like a bad guy.

Then the angel on her right shoulder was telling her, she'll admit to sleeping with him and betraying her fiancee, Yang Zheyan. Also, breaking off the engagement cleanly was the better choice rather than leaving it off ugly. It'll only cause unwanted animosity between both families.

"I'm not a stranger," Yang Zheyan rested his arm on top of the hooded car and shot a grin at her. "We already slept toget-"

Xiong Jingfei didn't hold back her legs to make him shut up. Her mouth may not work, but everything else about her was still in excellent condition.

"Ahhh! That hurts!" Yang Zheyan bellowed, jumping back and rubbed his left s.h.i.+n. "Ahhh, I'm sorry! I was wrong! Don't get out of the car!"

Xiong Jingfei let out a light grunt and retrieve her legs back into his car. Settling back down on the pa.s.senger seat, she turned her head the other way with her arms crossed. A dash of red could be seen on her cheeks.

Seeing that she had reluctantly given in. Yang Zheyan reminded himself to not tease her anymore until he starts driving. Then he would love to see if she would dare to kick him!

"Where am I heading to, my lady?" Yang Zheyan asked jokingly, still, not without showing his gentleman smile.

He wasn't supposed to tease her anymore, but he couldn't help it. The words "my lady" just naturally rolled out of his tongue, and her actions towards him were not what he was expecting. So far, he was on the losing end.

Xiong Jingfei stared at him and did not answer his question right away. The way he said, "my lady" brought a sense of warmth over her. Without noticing, her eyes became softer, and the corner of her lips lifted up. She finally broke eye contact with him and wrote down the address on her tablet.

Meanwhile, Feng Huan came in time to witness Yang Zheyan car take off in the speed of light with Xiong Jingfei.

"Feifei!" Feng Huan shouted as if Xiong Jingfei would have heard him being inside the car.

Feng Huan clenched his jaw. The second he saw Xiong Jingfei running out of the campus, he just took off after her. He doesn't know why he even chased after his ex-girlfriend, who was already engaged and had absolutely nothing to do with him. He was the one after all who server the ties between them.

Thinking back, was he too hasty in his decisions and did not think it through?

He was a grown man and had needs too. However, Xiong Jingfei was stubborn as a rock and never budge to go anywhere further than a kiss. Under the impulse, he made a mistake and slept with Zhao Fan after finding out it was Xiong Jingfei who betrayed him first. All this time, he patiently waited for her by taking baby steps at a time, but she was only playing around with him.

To him, it was no wonder she wouldn't take another step with him, being engaged to someone like Yang Zheyan. During that time, these were the only thoughts running through his mind. It got cloudier when Xiong Jingfei couldn't explain it herself and was acting as confused as he was.

Despite that, it was unbelievable what a coincidence it was when Xiong Jingfei walked in on him and Zhao Fan. It wasn't like he was doing it at his house or anything. They were actually at a hotel and Xiong Jingfei just so "happened" to be there as well.

"Ahhh!" Zhao Fan screamed, seeing someone walked in on them in the middle of getting it down. She quickly gathered up the blanket to cover herself. "Xiong Jingfei... T-this is..."

Zhao Fan stuttered, avoiding eye contact with Xiong Jingfei. She had her face facing downward, but there was a small gleam in her eyes.

Feng Huan was just as shocked to see Xiong Jingfei, but his face remained cold outwardly. He sat up like it was normal and rustle the side of his hair. He didn't appear to look guilty or apologize for what he did. Instead, he ignored her presence like she didn't exist or had just walked in on him cheating on her.

"T-this is..." Zhao Fan continued stuttering, appearing guilty but at the same time innocent. She tugged lightly on Feng Huan's arm, "Feng Huan... Feng H-"

"Let's break up," Feng Huan gazed up at Xiong Jingfei but immediately wanted to swallow those words back up.

The moment he spoke those three words, tears rolled down from Xiong Jingfei's eyes. He didn't notice it when she walked in, but she was soaking wet from head to toe. Never once had he seen Xiong Jingfei this disheveled. She always kept up with her appearance and always had this n.o.ble aura radiating from her.

Feng Huan's heart ache, it was the first time he saw her tears, "Feifei-"

"Feifei! Why did you run so fast?" Xu Suying rushed into the room, completely soaked too. Wiping the rain from her eyes, she asked: "Whose room did you burst into..."

Xu Suying couldn't finish her sentence or didn't want to upon seeing two naked people on a bed. Out of the two, one of them was her best friend's boyfriend. She instantly turned to Xiong Jingfei, who kept quiet with only tears streaming down her face.

Xiong Jingfei's lips went into a thin line along with gripping her phone tightly. On the flas.h.i.+ng screen, she was bombarded with text messages from an unknown number with the hotel address and room number. At first, she ignored it, thinking it was someone spamming her. Until she received a photo of Feng Huan and Zhao Fan entering this room together.

"b.a.s.t.a.r.d! Can't even keep your promise for a few days?" Xu Suying almost went charging at them but was held back by Xiong Jingfei. Who shook her head and attempted to drag Xu Suying out of the dirty room. "You're going to let them off just like this?"

Xiong Jingfei's hand gripping Xu Suying's arm became tighter by the second.

"Fine!" Xu Suying yelled, understanding Xiong Jingfei's intention. She flipped around and angrily stormed out of the room. Xiong Jingfei wasn't being herself and was in her most vulnerable state. Now, this had to happen to her too! "I better not see the two of you ever again!"

"Feifei!" Feng Huan removed the blanket and put on his pants so he can chase after her. If Xiong Jingfei leaves this hotel without him begging her for forgiveness. He has a feeling it'll never be the same again. Never will he get another chance to approach her.

"Huan! Don't go!" Zhao Fan hugged him around the waist and bounded him to the bed. "Don't leave me... You said that you'll take responsibility!"

Feng Huan did not let this stop him. He broke free from Zhao Fan's hold and rushed out of the hotel room. The hallway was very quiet, and only traces of water droplets on the floor showed Xiong Jingfei did stop by.

"s.h.i.+t!" Feng Huan slammed his fist into the wall to punish himself, but it didn't help him feel any better. It would have been better if Xiong Jingfei threw a fit rather then walking out quietly. Maybe it would have lessened the guilt building upon his shoulders.

Although she didn't give herself to him, she was the person who brought out the best in him. He made a promise to be with her even after she became mute and would wait for her when she's ready. But he broke these promises to her, and ultimately became a n.o.body to her.

Feng Huan squeezed his eyes shut regretting. How different things could have been if he didn't do that? He really broke her heart that night... Thinking back, all the pieces seemed to fit way too well. He still questioned if everything was a set up for him to break up with her or the other way around.

"Huan? Why are you standing here?" Zhao Fan asked, trying to catch her breath. She chased Feng Huan, who suddenly took off. If her eyesight wasn't seeing things, she definitely saw Xiong Jingfei, and it was the same direction he ran off to.

Feng Huan looked down on Zhao Fan without any warmth. It wasn't like he had any for Zhao Fan to begin with, if not for the promises he made her.

"What's wrong?" Zhao Fan took a step back slightly. Feng Huan had never been affection with her, but he never looked at her this way either. As if he was trying to dig out something from her.

"It's nothing," Feng Huan answered, walking back to campus ground.

"Wait for me!" Zhao Fan reached out to hold his hand.

Feng Huan immediately pulled his hand away from her before she could touch it. He did not turn around but kept walking at a fast pace without waiting for her. Sleeping with Zhao Fan was one of his biggest mistakes he made in life.

"Xiong Jingfei! Xiong Jingfei!" Zhao Fan muttered, but it was coming out more like she was chanting a curse. Her eyes darken, even after all this time, Xiong Jingfei the vixen would not get out of their life. "Why are you always getting in my way!"
