These two... Lu Weisheng wanted to burst out laughing. No one dared to touch Yang Zheyan's head, but to pat him like he was a dog... He turned to the side with his shoulders shaking.

"What are you doing?" Yang Zheyan asked in a low voice that could only be heard by Xiong Jingfei. The loving smile was still on his face, but is that what you call lovey-dovey? More like petting your dog!

He was right. Xiong Jingfei was actually imagining he was her cute Pompom at home. Her tiny, s...o...b..ll pomeranian was probably crying for her.

There was no way she can give him a loving expression. There was no way...

Xiong Jingfei's eyes dazed, and her hand slid down from his hair to his face. Yang Zheyan froze in his position when she suddenly traced his eyebrows with her slender finger to his jawline.

This set off the woman, she finally stormed away in a fury with a hmph. Lu Weisheng made sure to do his part and waved her goodbye, forever. Although a part of him thanked the woman for giving him a free show.

But, he looked at Xiong Jingfei, who didn't seem to be acting anymore. He was familiar with this look. It was impossible not to know, or else he wouldn't be called a playboy. The moment a woman begins giving him this look, it's over between them. Xiong Jingfei's expression towards Yang Zheyan was love without a doubt.

Lu Weisheng rested his chin in his hands and stared at both of them. When he blinked his eyes, he found himself to be in a completely different place. He rubbed his eyes to make sure he wasn't seeing things.

"Ah, you have got to be kidding me!" Lu Weisheng growled, seeing how he was outside a room that was obviously no longer the cafe.

There was no sign of modern life, but an ancient time exterior design. He was standing outside a small wooden house. The place was not luxurious but felt peaceful to live away from everyone. This felt like the same experience he had when he first discovered Zemin Palace. Does he need to stop blinking? Why is this happening to him!

"I will always be right behind you, I promise."

The sound of someone weeping was heard with those quiet words spoken. It was coming from inside the house, but Lu Weisheng was afraid to open it. What if he saw something scary? Being scared and nervous was not helping him one bit. He bit his nail to calm him down and think.

"d.a.m.n, what if someone is injured?" Lu Weisheng sighed, forcing himself to become brave. Then he braced himself for anything he might see once those doors were open.

Upon opening those doors, the weeping became louder and turned into wails. Lu Weisheng almost stepped back out and closed those doors shut. Whatever is crying in there, please cry a little softer. Lu Weisheng begged it in his head in hoping it heard him.

Lu Weisheng peered from around the door, as the crying was coming to his far right. What he saw stunned him more than ever. Even more than what he saw at Zemin Palace. It brought chills all the way down to his toes.

The crying was coming from a woman dressed in a red robe. Her hair was put in an updo with jewelry in and out, dangling beautifully. In her arms, she held onto a man who was also dressed in red. His head rested on her shoulders but with his eyes were closed. He appeared to be sleeping, but Lu Weisheng felt something was extremely wrong with him. She traced his face with her finger and held him tightly in her embrace.

"Jingfei?" Lu Weisheng managed to find his voice, but it still came out as a whisper. He looked down at the man in her embrace, "Zheyan?"

Xiong Jingfei lifted her head to stare straight at Lu Weisheng with dead eyes. No light, no emotions, and void of all life. The watery tears flowing out of her eyes were no longer there but blood.

Lu Weisheng's heart had a mini heart attack. He took a step back, afraid going near them, seeing her like that.

"Remember your promise!" Xiong Jingfei screamed. She charged at Lu Weisheng with unbelievable speed plus a sword in her hand.

"Ahhh! I promise! I promise! Whatever you want!" Lu Weisheng screamed, covering his face in fear of seeing her b.l.o.o.d.y face. A hand grabbed his shoulder, thinking it was her, he cried, "Don't kill me!"

"Why are you screaming?" Yang Zheyan asked, shaking Lu Weisheng awake from his sudden outburst.

Lu Weisheng removed his arms away from his face. He looks to the left and to the right. He was back! His attention immediately went to Xiong Jingfei, who seemed as confused as he was. He sighed in relief, at least her face was no longer b.l.o.o.d.y but the pretty face he remembered from their first meeting.

"I-it's nothing... I just felt like screaming." Lu Weisheng laughed it off, but the gooseb.u.mps were evidence of his experience.

No one will believe him. Plus, the Xiong Jingfei sitting in front of him can't even talk. How was she going to scream and come charging at him? There was also no way her pet.i.te body can run at that speed.

Just felt like screaming? Xiong Jingfei looked at Lu Weisheng up and down. Is that true?

What Lu Weisheng didn't know was that he wasn't the only one seeing them dressed differently. Xiong Jingfei saw it too. Just differently.
