Jack was now presiding over a line of bodies belonging to a handful of catfolk. His eyes narrowed on each of the corpses. There was no sadness which he felt, no guilt, no remorse. While he didn't necessarily kill them, he had given them a chance to prove themselves useful.

In a way, they did.

Taking out a bag from his inventory, he held it over towards Vivian who was walking towards him. Her Fire Stave was on her back, tucked into a tight looking leather strap diagonally across her back.

"Surround the bodies with these blue arcane stones, evenly s.p.a.ced, with haste." The stones which were in the bag were used to expand a single target spell into an Area of Effect spell. He didn't really want to resurrect one of these beings at a time. He rather resurrect all of them at the same time.

"Don't resurrect the flea stricken savages!" One of the soldiers charged out of line, he was one of the younger people, least experienced.

Jack turned his head to look at the one who shouted, now standing between him and the other soldiers who were keeping their distance. "Hm?" Stoically he simply tilted his spear towards the human being, his head c.o.c.king to the side.

Vivian took the stones, smiling brightly as she would begin to drop a stone every several paces until she ran out of them. Which she did relatively quickly with her raised agility.

"It is done Jack-Jack." Vivian purred out a nickname as she held out the empty bag to him, standing beside him, ignoring the soldier.

Jack turned his attention back towards Vivian and grasped the bag, slowly slipping it out of her grasp and into his inventory. "Just call me Jack," he turned to look over the bodies once more.

The young soldier boy snarled, going to draw his sword.

"You there!" The Lordling shouted, "Return to your grouping!"

Pausing the soldier would look over towards the Lord, his hand still on the handle of his weapon. An angry expression on his face. "But my Lord, you cannot allow this Angel to obscure our justice!"

Jack turned on his heel to look towards the young soldier.

The Lord paled again, sweat forming on his brow as he scratched at his beard. "I warned you boy..." His eyes s.h.i.+fted towards Jack and then to the Soldier, before glancing away.

Jack began walking towards the Soldier, the cold frozen gra.s.s crunching beneath his boots.

Slowly the Soldier would turn to look forward, his eyes locking on the Angel who was now towering over him. Quickly he took two steps back, drawing his sword and pointing it up towards Jack. The boy wasn't all that arrogant, but he was ignorant.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaah!"

"You're starting to sound like Nakajima..." Uttered Jack as he watched the boy swing the sword, and the moment the weapon hit the carapace of his silver and gold runic half-plate armor, the weapon shattered like gla.s.s. Chunks of sword went flying in the opposite direction.

Nakajima turned to look at Jack when he heard his name, and the sound of a breaking sword. Grimacing, he watched as Jack raised the spear and behead the soldier without hesitation.

The body remained standing for a few more seconds, broken sword in hand, before collapsing to the side as it spewed blood like a pond bound fountain.

The Lord looked from the corner of his eye, watching the dead body lay on the frozen grounds. A frown across his lips as he shook his head, bringing his wrist up to cover his mouth slightly.

It was a meaningless death, one a soldier would never want, whether or not they were just a conscript.

The other soldiers closed their eyes, refraining from exhibiting such ignorance or even arrogance in front of an Angel such as this. It would surely mean their death, if their swords couldn't even penetrate that one's armor.

Gazing over the bodies once more as he returned to his previous position, Jack would raise his hand over the Elder who's corpse was laid out in the center.

There was only one spell which could resurrect a being with such damage to the body, or the lack there of. True Resurrection, was a spell capable of resurrecting someone even if they were a pile of ash.

So as he cast this spell, 『True Resurrection』, the stones would glow an omnipotent blue which took over the dimly starlit grounds of the clearing.

As the glow faded into nothingness, allowing the natural light of the world to take over, the once dead and mutilated cats lay there on the ground. All of their bodies at one hundred percent health, groans would softly emit from their elongated feline mouths.

"Hm...hm.." Jack chuckled to himself seeing them slowly beginning to stand.

The elder slowly sat up, he was the last to rise. Feeling his neck, in as much surprise as the others who were feeling their extremities. They were all alive…

The stones which Jack had Vivian lay out for him, were now burnt out, nothing but ash themselves.

"Wise One?" The Elder looked over Jack for a moment before blinking, looking over the other members of his tribe which he had thought perished. This included himself. As he collected his walking staff, he would stand before the Angel and bow his upper body. "There is no way we can repay you..."

Jack shrugged, not bothering to smile at this. He didn't care if they repaid him, it was a small price, magic energy replenished itself without much work on his part.

Yawning he would go to turn away from them, looking towards the human lordling.

The Cats turned their eyes to the soldiers with disdain before pausing, seeing the dead beheaded soldier. What was this? Why was one of the solders dead? They turned their eyes towards the crevice, it looked like fire had been blown through it… They could just make out the smell of burnt flesh, human flesh.

The Lordling would slide off of his saddle, with the help of a squire, and make his way towards the Angel unarmed. His gaze didn't leave Jack, he didn't look towards the beastly cat people who had been slain by his men once before.

"Seraph… Of the G.o.ds, I give you my greatest apologies once more..." The Lord would bow towards Jack with what seemed to be humility.

This caused Jack to raise a brow, watching the grey haired man before him.

The Lord then began to raise his head, "Allow me to introduce myself formally. My name is Ivan Riker Lyle Carmichael, Lord of the Fortress City of Noctia… I wish to humbly invite you to my City."

Jack stared at the top of his head, "All of my companions are welcome?"

The Lord hesitated for a moment, s.h.i.+fting his eyes towards the cat folk.

"They are Emissaries of Frayja, they are not my companions." As Jack said this, it seemed the Lord was sighing with relief. He didn't seem to be welcome to the thought of furred humanoids entering.

Jack turned towards the Elder, "You wouldn't mind staying here?"

The Elder bowed his head, "We follow the Will of Frayja, wise one. If it is to stay here, then we shall stay. If we are to move onto another land, then it is as it will be."

Nodding his head, Jack would retract his six wings into his back before narrowing his sights on the Lord. "Then I accept your humble invitation," Jack would place a hand on the Lord's shoulder. "One we arrive however, I'd like to have a private conversation with you..."

The Lord raised a brow and nodded to this, curious of what Jack would possibly like to speak to him about. His eyes gazed over to the Priest who would approach shortly after he stood erect and took a step back.

"Brother Tonic?" Jack looked over the priest for a moment, before watching as the Lord began to direct his men into formation to start on their way back to the Fortress.

"I saw you looking at the book of scriptures earlier.." The Priest would hold the large bible-like item out to him, for the Angel to accept. He didn't expect a holy being to be familiar with it, as it was a simple extrapolation based on human beliefs supposedly connected to Enochian texts.

Jack accepted the book in two hands, one on each leather back and front cover, looking over the text on the top of the book. It definitely had the Enochian occult language of the Angels on the front cover.

Since it was in the game, he was rather adept at reading it since it was a fully developed written language, and was immersive when it came to roleplaying as an Angel.

However directly below the Angelic Language there was also the Language of the Transitus Fluvii, Celestials and the Malachim, all of which were also considered occult Angelic languages.

"Hm… It's like the Rosetta Stone of the Heavens..."

"Rosetta Stone…?" The Priest stared up at Jack, not really sure what he was talking about.

"These are four supposedly different languages used by Angels..."

The Priest blinked as the Angel identified all of those languages as different written systems of Angelic heritage. "Can you… can you transcribe them?!"

"All four of them say the same thing..." Jack said as he narrowed his sights on the Priest. These systems of writing were all very similar to human Arabic, Hebrew and non-latin languages such as Ancient Greek and even j.a.panese. Some of the characters used even looked like ones someone would see in advanced algebraic and calculus equations.

"That is…?"

"Book of Words," Jack uttered as he tucked the book into his inventory, not returning it to the man of cloth. "I'll read it when we arrive in the City." Jack uttered as he looked over the soldiers which were taking down their tents, as the Lord himself was settling himself back onto the saddle upon his horse.

The Priest sighed, "Book of Words..." He repeated, not very satisfied with the apparently accurate translation. He was expecting something more extravagant perhaps, but it was only three words.

The Cat Folk would be moving about the clearing, collecting their things which had been laying on the ground without care.

Jack's party were all standing in a circle, talking quietly about what was going on.

Nakajima was annoyed with Jack, giving him these sharp dirty glances. Why? Because Jack had compared the dead soldier to him, charging in only to die.

Vivian seemed to be the only one who was silently standing by Jack, swaying side to side, on her feet.

Jack turned to the small elf beside him and placed a hand on her hooded head, which she'd ultimately lean into. His eyes then moved to the priest, "You should go join the rest… I'm sure you brought more than just a mere, book, correct?"

Nodding, "Yes! Of course!" The Priest without much hesitation, would retreat from where he once stood. Making his way over towards the tent he had been in once before, he started to pack.

Jack found that just with his appearance, he was able to lead these people away from the Dungeon. Perhaps he could find the others and take them as well. Though since these Dungeons were probably inexhaustible as they were in the game, it was definitely possible to just prosper with one in his service.

That and he had plenty of dungeon related items, such as vouchers for certain level dungeons, as well as other items that directly effected the types of drops. He'd definitely have no problem funding his future projects should he actually set his mind to something.

Taking over the continent sounded like a good idea. So did just exploring. Settling down also seemed like a good idea, but it also sounded rather boring.

"Jack," Vivian purred under his hand, tilting her head back so that his hand fell onto her face.

Jack c.o.c.ked a brow, "Hm?"

"Nothing." Vivian smirked as his hand traveled down her face, pulling her lower lip down as he did so before it sprung back into place with a fleshy pop sound.

"I see..." Jack reached over and pinched her cheek, stretching it, causing her to squeal.

"H-hey!"
