When Love Happens! Chapter 124 - The Winner...

Jacob looked at the girl in surprise and then turned to look at the the tray placed on the counter, before him. He hesitantly picked up the gla.s.s, taking it close to his mouth but the smell of alcohol made him cringe instantly. 

He took a deap breath and then tried again. But this time, he was almost on the verge of throwing up! "No way!! I can't drink anymore!! You win!" Jacob placed down his gla.s.s, covering his face with his hands.

"Woohoooo!!!!" Isa placed down her gla.s.s too and turned to look at the bartender.

"Referee dear ! Did you hear that?" 

"Yes! Isa wins the world champions.h.i.+p of shorts drinking!" The bartender held up the girl's hand high in the air as if she had won a wrestling compet.i.tion.

"Yayyyyy!!!!!" She hooted and cheered for herself.

Jacob looked at the silly girl, chuckling at her. "Wait a second! You did not even drink yours!" He glanced at the full vodka gla.s.s, placed on the tray.

"I was not anyway planning to drink it! I was just pretending to be confident, to make you lose!" Isa winked at the boy. "It just worked awsomely!" 

"Hey! Hey! Wait!! That is cheating!! Referee! I demand a fair decision from you! Look the girl's gla.s.s! It is also full!" Jacob spoke up, looking at the bartender.

"But, you just admitted your defeat yourself, irrespective of the fact that I drink it or not! You never said 'fine Isa, if you drink it then I lose'!!" Isa held up her hands, giving a valid point.

The referee had now turned into a court judge, listening to the pleas of both the parties one by one.

"That's not done! Either she drinks this gla.s.s or its a tie!" Jacob spoke up in a hurt voice, looking at the bartender.

"Hmmm!" The bartender, placed his hand on his chin, thinking deeply.

"Shhhhh! Be quiet! The referee is thinking! Let the wise man decide fairly!" Isa hushed the murmering boy.

Finally the bartender, looked up at the two, like a wise man about to impart a very meaning information. "As we all know, since ages our ancestors have stressed on the importance of having a self-confidence in ourselves, that help our soules to evolve!" 

Jacob frowned hearing the bartender's words. "What the h.e.l.l!! How is this related to us?"

"Shhhhushhh!!! Let the master complete!!" Isa slapped the boy again on his arm, making him quiet. 

"Ouch! Why do you keep slapping me Isa!" Jacob rubbed his arm.

"Good! So where was I? Ah! The importance of confidence! Since the girl was full of confidence, she should idealy win this round. Your words in life have a great value! Since you already verbelly accepted your defeat, you lose the round Jacob! This is his highness's final decision" Bartender spoke in a very philosophical and serious tone.

"Yes!! Yes!!!" Isa screamed at the top of her lungs, swinging her body happily.

While, Jacob on the other hand glared at the bartender in anger.
