The CEO's Lovely Wife Chapter 114 - 114 Let's Go, Hubby!

October covered her tingling ear in a fl.u.s.ter and gave Lexus a glare.

What was that?! October felt like she was being played by Lexus, always teasing whenever possible. Also, that deep voice of his with that seductive tone...! This was so unfair! How can he do this underhanded moves to her that always makes her flabbergasted and unable to react in time? On top of that, he was using such piercing eyes that always gets her numb so sweetly! This man was just so sinful! 

October's brows furrowed tightly as she turned her head back on the hallway. She then pursed her lips into a fine line but they still continued to make their way toward the dining hall while holding hands. Even if she wanted to flick that cold and huge hand away from hers, she knew it would all be useless and so did not bother anymore in doing anything about it as she let him do whatever he wanted to do. 

Mother Song noticed the couple entering the dining hall and her eyes immediately gave out a glitter with a trace of mischivousness. Her smile widened and said warmly, "What took you two so long? Come, come, let's eat. The food is almost cold."

Mother Song said that as if it was in pa.s.sing, but her voice were filled with teasing. She then remembered the days when she and her husband just met and how dissastrous it was. And now, looking at the calm and collected couple with cold indifference surrounding the two, she can feel that they looked happy, contented, and harmonious. There was some sort of tacit understanding between the two. 

Is there a couple as harmonious as these two? Mother Song thought there was none. 

As soon as October entered the room, she was immediately greetee by some sort of annoying smell. Just that, it was mild and she can tolerate it somehow. She then shook it off and continued to head in. 

"Good morning, mother." October greeted back to her mother-in-law. After that, she was helpee to sit on her chair by Lexus, showing how much of a gentleman he was. 

October looked at him for a moment and almost rolled her eyes at him. This man was acting so shady right now, he must have been doing this to compensate her for last night. October thought to herself as she turned her focus on their breakfast.

The family then started to eat in a light atmosphere without much incident as last night. This was until Mother Song and Lexus saw October stood up in a hurry from her seat and run out of the dining hall.

Mother Song, being the one who has a bit of knowledge with this, turned her head to Lexus and urged him to follow his wife. However, this urging was not that needed as Mother Song saw her son's worried face and quickly followed his wife out of the dining hall. She then shrugged her shoulders and went back to eating with a knowing smile.

Meanwhile, in the bathroom sink, October head leaned down as she vomit. Not long later, she heard Lexus entering the bathroom and softly patted her back. After a while, she turned on the faucet and rinsed her mouth. She also splashed cold water on her face before turning to Lexus. Her face was saying 'This is what you did to me' in an accussing manner. 

Lexus noticed October's wet face and so turnee his head around to look for some tissue or towel to dry her face. After finding the towel he needed, he immediately started wiping her face dry as gentle as he could.

"Are you okay now?" Lexus asked softly as a worriee and pained look showed on his handsome face. After seeing her vomitting like that and saw her uneasiness, Lexus wanted to take over this kinds of things instead of her. He then gently wrapped his arms around her shoulders and embraced her. 

"Yes, I'm fine now so you can let go now." October coolly said. She can feel that his body's muscles were flexing a lot, or should she dare say, quivering. Was he scared? Worried?

Thinking of this, October's heart was instantly filled with warmth until it overflowed and spread throughout her body. She felt so moved that this man, this handsome and strong man, was so worried with her like this. She was so happy and grateful to have met him from the bottom of her heart. She then raised her hands and hugged him back as she immersed herseld in this moment of bliss.

The two remained like this for a moment until October decided to be the first one to break the silence.

"Hey! Let's go now. Mother is waiting for us. Also, I'm quite hungry right now." October said and gently pushed Lexus. She looked up to him and placed both hands on his cheeks and gently added, "Let's go, hubby."

Lexus felt like his heart just sweetly throbbed in his chest. He locked eyed with October and felt her warmth transmitted from her hands. Unknown to him, a smile so dazzling and beautiful stretched on his devilishly handsome face, making the world around him pale in comparison.

October was not an exception. She was dazzled by his smile that captivated her once cold heart.

"Let's go, wifey." Lexus said in a doting voice and led October back to the dining hall. 

This time, their breakfast continued in a very warm atmosphere, acting as if that small situation did not happen at all.

"Hey, what are you looking at your phone? Who are you texting?" Lexus frowned in displeasure and growled. He noticed that it was for a while now that his wife kept on tapping her phone since they started making their way to work. 

"Hm? Oh this? I'm just having a chat with my friend." October paused for a moment aa she turned to look at Lexus' darkening gaze and nonchalantly said. After that, she went back to tapping her phone. "Eyes on the road, Lex."

Lexus squared his jaw as he heard her say this in a dismissing tone. He turned to look at the road as he regretted having to drive today. He should have made one of his drivers to drive them today in order for him to snuggle October in his arms while spying on her. If he could, he would have gotten to know who this "friend" she was talking about.

As Lexus kept on digging his brain from the information he got during that time when he investigated quite a bit on October's past, no name came up that was of significance. Suddenly, a name popped into his head, making him grip the steering wheel tightly in his hands.

Ma Rong.

After turning the last curve, Lexus stopped his car smoothly in front of Halo Company. He turned his head to the side to inform October that they had arrived when he realized that October's head just inches away from his face. 

In a quick movement, October landed a kiss on Lexus' lips. She was just about to give him a kiss on his cheek but he suddenly turned his head to her, making their lips to meet coincidentally.

October bashfully backed away and their was a look of surprise clear on her face. 

Silence descended to both for a while before Lexus cleared his throat dryly in an attempt to hide his laughter. He swiftly took off his seatbelt as his body leaned toward October. He saw her fl.u.s.tering face while backing away and not making eye contact with him. 

Lexus' arms stretched out and trapped October in her seat as she continued to avoid his piercing gaze. He looked at her in amus.e.m.e.nt and grinned in mischief. He then moved his other hand to gently turn her face to look at him and smoothly kissed her torridly. 

It took quite some time before the two broke off. Their eyes looking at each other both reflected each other's desire. 

"I'll pick you up later tonight. Be good and wait for me." Lexus' deep and husky voice said as he flashed October his devilish smile that struck October's heartstrings and stirred her very core. 

When October finally got out of the car, her face was expressionless but if someone took a better look at her, they would definitely notice that her cheeks were flushed.
