The CEO's Lovely Wife Chapter 127 - 127 Lunch Date No More

As lunch came, October got up from her seat and said, "Xixi, I'll go out for lunch."

"Okay, Director." Yun Xixi nodded her head. She was a bit disappointed that she will not eat together with her boss but she did not voice it out. Then, she saw her boss walking out in hurried steps as she held her phone on her ear. 

On the phone, Lexus was talking to October with a smile clear in his voice, "I'm almost there to pick you up. So wait for me." 

"Okay. I'm already at the elevator." October calmly said. After some thought, she asked, "Are you with someone? Did you invite mother?"

Lexus frowned, "No, of course not. Are you had said, just the two of us. Why would I ruin our first lunch date together?"

October nodded. She did say that. However, she felt bad that she has still yet to give her mother-in-law some present for their first meeting. She was being unfilial. Later, she will ask Lexus what will be a possible present the her mother-in-law will like. Good thing that she was not the type to spend a lot money on unneccessary things and so, she was confident that she can buy her mother-in-law something expensive. 

"Yes, I did say that." October's face was soft and there was a hint of a smile on her lips. 

"Should I take it that I can eat anything I want?"

"Yes. I won't hold you back. If anything, I want to let you eat as much as you want because I noticed that you only eat a small portion of your food everytime we are eating together." October said with a frown. 

Hearing October's stern voice, Lexus laughed brightly. His cold nature did not show one bit. It was as if he was a whole other person and not the ruthless and tyrant CEO of Heaven Company. "Yes, I'll definitely eat a lot. If you feed me then, I will be able to eat a lot."

"You have your hands to use." October rolled her eyes at this.

"What? I use my hands to hold you and feed you." Lexus' voice was light as he said this proudly. He was saying to October that his hands were not meant for him to use but for his wife's.

"Don't be absurd." October helplessly shook her head. She said this but her heart was filled with warmth.

"I'm already turning a curve to stop in front of your building." Lexus said and October can hear a "beep" in the background. 

It was also around this time that her elevator door also opened. She then got out and walked straight toward the exit where she saw a navy blue mercedes benz parked in front of her building. Her steps became rapid and her focus was on the car parked outside. 

"-ry!"

October's feet slowed down for a bit as she felt like she heard her name being called. However, she did not turn around to look if there really was someone looking for her and continued to walk toward the exit.

"Berry." 

This time, she finally heard it quite clearly. With a slight twitch on her brow, she turned toward that voice and saw a charming man smiling brightly at her and walking toward her in a hurry. She stood there frozen in place as she blankly looked at the man.

"Surprise!" Ma Rong said cheerfully as his eyes turned to cresecents while he smiled broadly. He then stopped a few feet away from October who was currently looking at him with a very blank face and dead eyes. He then chuckled bitterly as he saw October's face. 

So this was her face when Lexus was not with her. He has to say, even though he was together with October longer than Lexus, he still could not let her show emotions as much as Lexus did. It turned out that October was still the same as before: cold, calm, and collected. With this, his view of Lexus was so high and that he quite respect him...but his fear toward that man still makes his skin crawl. 

"I was thinking that I should give you a surprise visit today and take you out for lunch. I was just about to call you on your phone but then I saw you getting out of the elevator." Ma Rong laughed. "Talk about coincendence ah!"

It was lunch break right now. With that, the two's meeting was witnessed by a lot of eyes. They looked at their Ice Director and this handsome gentleman who looked bright as suns.h.i.+ne. He also had a pretty outgoing personality, just basing it on the way he carries himself from his hair and his clothes. Especially his casual smile was making the ladies to blush. if there was anything they could say, he has the complete opposite of their director. 

"Rong'er, you're here." October turned to Ma Rong as she gave a quick glance at the car parked outside. 

"Mhm. Let's go have lunch together." Ma Rong said while shoving his hands into his pants.

"Sorry, Rong'er. I promised someone that I'll have lunch with him today." October said, feeling torn. She was happy that Ma Rong had came to visit her and even invited her to have lunch with him despite being tired from his flight; however, she already had made plans with Lexus and she can't break that. 

A flash of understanding glinted from Ma Rong eyes as he nodded his head slowly. His smile was still carefree and bright. "Okay. Then I'll just gonna go grab lunch outside myself."

"...Yeah." October felt rather guilty at this.

"You should go now." Ma Rong said as he looked at the car parked outside with a wide smile, "He is waiting for you for quite a while now."

October's eyes flashed for a moment but it vanished to quickly that Ma Rong was not able to see it clearly. Reluctant, October said her goodbye to Ma Rong as she headed to the exit and walked toward the car. She then got inside silently with a slight frown on her face.

Seeing the frown on October's face and her spirit was a bit down, Lexus turned to her worriedly.

"Are you okay? Did something happen?"

Seeing the silent October, Lexus had a frown of himself. Then turned to look inside the building and asked again, "Did someone bother you?" 

'If someone bothered you, I will definitely make them go jobless instantly.'  Lexus thought to himself.

Finally, October shook her head but it was accompanied with a soft sigh, earning her a questioning look of Lexus. She looked at him for a moment before saying, "Rong'er gave me a surprise visit today and wanted to have lunch with me."

Lexus' lips twitched for a moment but he did not say anything, indicating for October to continue talking.

"I declined since I already promised to have lunch with you." October paused for a moment before saying in a firmer tone, "Let's go."

Receiving his cue, Lexus then started his car as slowly drove off. At this time, he looked at his rear-view mirror and saw Ma Rong with a tired and sorry face. 

The car suddenly stopped and reversed. 

"Ah? What are you doing?" October was flabbergasted. She does not know what Lexus was thinking as to why he drove back to the front of her building. 

Suddenly, the window of October rolled down and October heard Lexus say, "Invite him. Let the three of us have lunch. We can move our lunch date at a later date."
