The CEO's Lovely Wife Chapter 81 - 81 Misunderstanding

Lexus looked at his wife silently. Her silence was just stiffling. After eating, she got up and started walking out of the kitchen.

Lexus couldn't contain his frustration any longer and so he dashed out to give chase. His whole being was dark and he carried a very ominous atmosphere. As soon as he got near her, he wrapped his arms around her and carried her into the couch. 

October gasped in surprise when she got swept off her feet without any warning. And before she knew it, she was already sitting on Lexus' lap. Her eyes widened and her lips slightly parted as she looked incredulously at Lexus' darkening face.

However much dangerous and deadly he looked at her, October did not flinch under his stare. Instead, she gave him her own scowl and glare and grumbled, "What are you doing?"

"No, what are  you  doing?" Lexus asked darkly. He searched her eyes and noticed that she wouldn't look at him longer than a second. She would always look away the moment their eyes meet. This was making him more frustrated and stressful than being in a crisis with his company and other business dealings. 

"..." October turned sideways and did not answer. She pursed her lips and remained silent. She did not even dare to look at him. 

October was feeling upset. She was really upset over such a small thing; however, she just could not help it. What's more, she couldn't look at him straight in the eyes because she was embarra.s.sed to let him see how petty she was. And those eyes, his nose, his lips...his face and his cold expression, it was enough to stir the insides of her. 

Lexus looked at her pink-tinted cheeks, her furrowed brows and her eyes with a trace of frustration. He stared hard for an hour that seemed almost like an hour before he sighed defeatedly. "Did I do something that you did not like? Did I say something wrong? Just...tell me, I'll listen."

Hearing his desperate voice as if he was on the verge of crying, October's ears perked and slowly turned to him. Seriously, she was just so embarra.s.sed that she end up lowering her eyes. She felt the arms holding her in place tightened. 

Lexus run his fingers through his fingers in frustration before turning his attention back on his wife. He does not have any experience in dealing with women and his mother was a special case so he could not count on her, hence he could not do but to awkwardly do something to try and comfort his icey wife.

Lexus' voice softened as he tried to coax her in telling him, "My wife, my dear, wifey...Lan'er, Lanna, say something."

October snapped her head toward Lexus so suddenly that she almost 'head-batted' him. "Wh-what did you just call me?"

"My dear, wifey...?" 

"No, not that." October shook her head and her hands clutched at his collar tightly. Her eyes glimmered brillinatly with the help of the light from the sun outside.

"Lanna." Lexus' voice rolled as he said her name. It did not sound weird coming from his mouth. In fact, it seemed to be more beautiful sounding, especially the way he called her name made her heart aflutter. 

Lexus saw her face slowly turning redder and the hold of his collar tightened. He looked at her with his doting eyes and gently tucked the stray hair behind her ear. He just silently stared at her and her at him. Both of them were swallowed in their own world and already forgot the other people in the mansion. 

Lexus' eyes remained cold and the atmosphere he has was not as dangerous as he usually had. He brushed her cheek and rested the other on her hands clutched on his collar. He was patiently waiting for her to say something, even if it'll take time, he will wait to whatever she wanted to say to him. Even if he was not a patient man and would ruthlessly punish the people working under him even after a second of delay, in front of his new wife, he was as patient as he could be. 

If his employees would get to know of this, they would never believe it even if they were given a million dollars. Their merciless CEO acting patient and calm and was comforting a woman? Such a thing was just extremely difficult to believe! Only if they can see it with their own eyes, then they would believe it; but if not,they would never believe such a thing.

October was silent and her gaze rippled from time to time. Should she just tell him? But he would think that she was petty. Yet being under his cold and penetrating eyes that was looking straight at her and was even being patient, she now couldn't make herself to not tell him.

Ah! Screw that! She was a frank woman who doesn't hesitate in stating her mind yet now she was hesitating to tell him about such a small matter?

October slowly released his collar and gently placed her hands on his handsome face that was like carved into perfection. He looked so dazzling and just so mesmerizing that she couldn't help but be distracted by him.

With steady eyes, October said softly, "I just thought that maybe you just wanted to sleep with me and that anyone would do for you. I also asked myself if you are only with me out of responsibility for our child." October noticed that Lexus wanted to interject so before he could even utter a single word, she placed her finger on his lips to stop him.

"Because of how our current situation came to be, our relations.h.i.+p and our marriage itself is so fragile that it could break and crumble into tiny pieces at any careless moment. Even the slightest mistake and even the tiniest doubt may result to greater conflict. That's how this relations.h.i.+p of ours came about." October seriously said and looked straight at him with a soft gaze and a small smile plastered on her pink lips. "However, I chose this path. I chose you. I chose to tread a fine line towards our shaky future. So no matter what, I will stubbornly stay beside you and raise our children together. I'm not sure what will become of me in this relations.h.i.+p, but I might be greedy, petty, and may turn shameless and possessive. So you had better prepare yourself. Got that?"

Lexus slowly let her words sink in and carved it into his heart. Then a dazzling and bewitching smile and bright eyes appeared on his impeccable face. He then placed his hands over hers and said in a voice so deep that struck hard at October's heart, "Don't worry, my wife. Your husband is also terribly bad that I will do anything in my power just to dominate you all by myself. So whatever you wanted to do, your husband can do it too."

Lexus' smile widened even more and continued, "Lan'er, I didn't know that you look at me as a shallow person. I'm quite hurt, you know? Didn't I already told you before about how madly in love I am to you?"

"No, you did not say such thing to me!" October frowned and glared at him, but her face were so red that one can almost squeeze some blood out of it. Her heart was beating irratically as realization hit her. 

This was his confession, right? Right?!
