The CEO's Lovely Wife Chapter 82 - 82 Round Two: Fight!

Lexus paused and thought back if he really did not say that to her. However, he could not quite remember much for the things he said to her were almost said in the spur of the moment and just thoughtlesly say words that he had not thought of much but were sincere.

"But I already told you now." Lexus shrugged languidly but then shot her a cold glance. "You never told me how you feel about me, though...? So you owe me a confession."

"What?" October couldn't hide the shock in her eyes as she heard him pointed that out. She felt uneasy and her heart felt like it run in a marathon. She then coughed awkardly to hide her discomfort as she placed a calm facade on her face and said while getting up, "It's almost 7 already. I will be late to work."

October saw Lexus was about to grab her again and so she dodged him in time even if it was in a hair's breadth. In a small amount of time, she had already swiftly went out of the mansion with her bag and doc.u.ments; however, what she forgot was that she doesn't have her car keys.

Closing her eyes, she wanted to face-palm herself. Of all the things she has to forget, she just has to forget her car keys. Suddenly, she felt the hair of her body stand up as a cold presence neared her accompanied by a soft and deep laughter. Even if his cold laughter was making her body to s.h.i.+ver yet also melt, this time though, he wanted to cover his mouth to shut him up. His laughter was starting to irritate her.

"My wife, need a ride?" Lexus said as he leaned on the door with both hands tucked inside his pockets. His eyes were filled with amus.e.m.e.nt and a smile that could make all women grovel under his feet. Even though he was a little disappointed and hurt that she dodge his query and run away from him as fast as she could, he doesn't want her to feel pressured about it and he won't pursue the matter...for now.

If his wife is still being like this, then all he could was to wait for her to open up and tell him about her feelings herself. However, Lexus smiled bitterly and felt pity on himself for he doesn't know when will that be. 

With his mischievous smile, he slowly went up to her and hugged her from behind. He just still can't get enough of her. If possible, he wanted her to be always by his side wherever he go. That's right! Why didn't he think about that?

"Why don't you work for me instead?" Lexus asked as his eyes sparkled brightly because of his 'brilliant' idea. If she would work under him then he can always have her beside him, he can see her where she is, and he can go to her whenever he wanted. Also, he wouldn't be worried about the possibility of having his wife stolen from him. This was the most brilliant of the brilliant idea that could elimate his worries with a lot of benefit for him.

However, before his thoughts could wander more into the wilderness, her cold voice brought him out of his daydream and froze his smile.

"No. Not possible." October firmly said and slightly shook her head. She couldn't believe that the Heaven's CEO would be so self-centered like this. Wait, she did knew that as what she had heard on TV and read on magazines and tabloids. However, this was just too much. 

"Why?" Lexus asked with his piercing eyes darkening dangerously when he heard her rejection. Her rejection was almost like he was dumped by her. He couldn't take it. He forcefully turned her around to face him and growled, "Why do you want to stay there and not work under me?"

October's lips twitched and her face was on a deep scowl as she glared daggers at him. She then opened her mouth to say words in her icey voice, "It was not easy to work from scratch. I have since worked there tirelessly and sacrificed a lot of sleep just to finish my work. Even if I bleed and cry in blood, it was worth it. I was happy to work and persist into doing something I wanted to do and wanted to excel in. I swallowed my complaints just to pursue a career that I carved on my own without anyone's help! And now I am here where I am now because I made it happen. So, Mr Song, you have NO right to tell me to quit my job that I got with my perseverence and hardwork!"

October said coldly all of that in one breath. She let out all of her anger onto him and gave him a 'piece' of mind. Quit her job?! Was he being serious right now? Does he think that her job was just a job she got placed in a silver platter? October almost cursed out loud. Good thing that she still have a little bit of control of herself. 

But one truth remained, October exploded. Maybe because it was caused by her pregnancy or it was because of how Lexus was making it sound so easy to get a job, but she was now fuming in anger as her hands clutched tightly on Lexus' collar with a glare enough to make one seem like their souls were being sliced into pieces by the daggers she was throwing at him.

However, the man named Lexus was just staring unblinkingly at October's furious face. It was almost like he turned to stone and was just there foolishly staring wide-eyed at October. 

Tch, tch, tch. The maids and butlers who saw their masters having another bout of "sweet" fight on the same day shook their heads. They looked at their young madam fuming in anger because of what their young master had said. No matter, she still looked devastatingly beautiful with a cold face yet have a hidden fiery side. She was a strong and independent woman who was known to be such an outstanding professional. They just couldn't help but sigh in admiration. Then, they turned to their young master.

Sigh.

They were seriously disapppointed with their young master. Although he doesn't have any experience with women, he still shouldn't have mindlessly and one-sidedly said things as he pleases. His ignorance is not fully excused. Right now, even if they wanted to help, they just couldn't. 

'Young master, please solve it yourself.'  All of the maids and butlers thought.
