The CEO's Lovely Wife Chapter 98 - 98 Second Child

Lexus waved his hand at his directors and they all have automatically run out of the office with their tails tucked between their legs. All of them felt like they just got pardoned for losing their lives.

All five directors were extremely relieved as soon as they were meters away from the CEO's office, but as soon as relief washed over them, their knees almost gave in. They need to have the help of the walls to aid them in their walking.

Still, they could not believe that that lady in red was their CEO's mother. She looked young. She should be in her fifties, but considering that she does not look like her age at all, she must have painstakingly maintained her skin and youthful face. 

In the meantime, inside Lexus' office, Mother Song made her way toward the sofa and languidly sat their. a.s.sistant Yu then immediately poured her tea before walking to the side and waited for further instructions from his masters.

Mother Song then calmly picked up her cup and hummed after she sipped her tea and said, "You've improved your skills in brewing tea, Xi." 

"I'm unworthly of your praise, madam." a.s.sistant Yu replied humbly. 

Mother Song looked at the good-looking man standing in attention standing by the side of her son. "Xi, time's running fast. It is time for you to settle down."

a.s.sistant Yu felt like his heart got stabbed viciously with a knife by her words. He does not know if it was of concern or just her teasing, but having her point that out, it was just adding salt to his wound, so painful that he wanted to cry. What's with this mother and son pair, always teasing him like this?

"Do you want me to introduce you to some young eligible ladies?" Mother Song suggested with raised eyebrow. For her, Yu Xi was already almost like her son considering that he served the family since he was in his early teens. She had witnessed how he had grown from his meek personality to a tough one. Hopefully, the personality of her son wouldn't rub on him.

"I'm greatful for the offer, madam, but I have to respectfully decline. For now, I am still quite busy so it would be a waste if I could not spare time to meet someone." a.s.sistant Yu said with a bitter smile. He was really greatful but it was also true that he was busy. He was busy with matters concerning his young master, to be precise.

But then suddenly, a small face with a bright smile on her pink lips and her eyes dancing under the sun's light flashed across his mind. He then shook his head, trying to erase it. Why did her face came into mind all of a sudden? 

"Hmm. I see. But do let me know if you're interested. I knew some nice girls that barely pa.s.ses my criteria." Mother Song nonchalantly said before leisurely taking another sip of her tea.

Lexus was silent all this time as he looked at his mother making idle chat with a.s.sistant Yu. He really was quite surprised at her sudden visit. Sighing, he opened his mouth and asked, "Mother, why visiting me all of a sudden?"

Mother Song rolled her eyes at his question as she took another sip. After that, she replied, "Don't be conceited. My real purpose in being here is because of my daughter-in-law. I have to make sure that she is doing just fine considering that she is already carrying my first grandchild."

"So when are you going to give me my second grandchild?" Mother Song asked with a sparkle on her eyes as she looked at her son.

Hearing this made Lexus' head throb in pain. "Mother, my first child has not even been born yet but you are already asking for a second grandchild?"

"What? You don't like to have a second and third child?" Mother Song frowned. This stupid son, if she could give birth for another one, she would have already done that before.

"I did not say that." Lexus helplessly said. He too wanted to have another child, but that is not important right now. Also, he has to consider if his pretty wife would want to have another one. 

Lexus does not have any siblings, an only child. With that, he does not have anyone to play with during his childhood. With that, his only pa.s.s time was reading and studying. Due to that, he became detached with people which only added to his cold personality. 

"Hm! Then I want to have another grandchild." Mother Song declared with finality in her voice. There was clearly no room for Lexus to argue. "If you are worried about that much, then I will ask my daughter-in-law. I'm pretty sure she will agree to me."

Lexus' eyes darkened and he pursed his lips. He too also want to have a bigger family but he has to consider his wife's feelings. 

"I'm pretty sure this is not what you are really here. I have already asked you this question before but you always gets to get away from my question. So why exactly are you here, mother?" Lexus asked his mother with squinted eyes. 

"Like I said, I am here to spend some time with my daughter-in-law." Mother Song nonchalantly replied. It was true. And the things that she brought with her was already delivered in the mansion.

"Also, I will be staying in the residence for a few days." She said and put her cup down on the table with a click. She then crossed her arms over her chest and crossed her legs. 

"Okay." 

"Well then, I will now go to the mansion to arrange some things." Mother Song said as she stood up. She flicked her hair and walked toward the door. Noticing this, a.s.sistant Yu hurried to open he door with a slight bow.

Lexus followed, with his hands shoved in his pockets. If his mother is staying with them, his activities with his wife would greatly lessen. His handsome face darkened slowly at this thought and brows furrowed.

Mother Song paused and turned to her son and said, "I don't want you to be home early today. No matter what, be home only by dinner. Got that? If you do, then I will definitely kidnap your wife."

After that, she turned to leave with the doors closed behind her, leaving behind the dumbfounded Lexus.
