With a pale face, Meng Li looked at his wounds and sighed. Despite the fact that Qi could help him heal, the pain he would bear had no way of being negated and he would have to feel it in full for at least a few seconds before the Qi healed him.
The rib was going to be hard to get, so Meng Li set it aside and decided to first set his arm. He took a deep breath, and *CRACK* set the bone in place. He nearly shouted from the pain, but stopped at the last second, but still hissed through clenched teeth. The pain was incredibly intense, but after he let the healing Qi in, the pain quickly faded.
Now came the time for the rib. With every breath, it created incredible pain for him, so Meng Li was quite keen to get it out of him. This time, he used his Qi and fortunately managed to get the rib out of his lung without much trouble. However, it still hurt like a b.i.t.c.h - since the rib was fractured due to pressure, the skin was not pierced and due to the fact that he needed to set the rib back into place, it pa.s.sed through sensitive flesh. It hurt even more than the broken arm, and Meng Li couldn't be happier when the healing Qi stopped the pain.
After healing his injuries, he could finally lay down on the bed and rest. Despite the fact that the breakthrough barely lasted more than half an hour and the fact that he was completely rested beforehand, the process of breaking through exhausted Meng Li mentally and physically. After all, he had to split his attention three ways, and his body was constantly tortured by the pressure and healed by the strange Qi. Even if only a bit of his energy was exhausted every time he was healed, it still acc.u.mulated, and his entire body was extremely sore. So, the second his head touched the pillow, Meng Li fell asleep. And sleep he did, because when he woke up and asked the system about how long his sleep was, the answer he received was shocking.
[You slept for 1 month, 4 days, 13 hours and 57 minutes.]
This was the second time that Meng Li felt that something which he felt took a small amount of time lasted for way longer than it should've according to the system.
'This... Was I really that tired?' Meng Li couldn't help but ask himself, puzzled. However, after a few seconds he decided not to bother himself with such a matter since he wasn't likely to get an answer.
As he felt quite refreshed, Meng Li decided to take a walk in the outside world.
'Since a month had already pa.s.sed, the plants should look much more natural now, shouldn't they?' he idly wondered.
When the system had distributed the plants quite well, there was still something... Artificial about how it all looked. But with a month to expand, this flaw should be entirely covered by nature by now.
As Meng Li exited, he was surprised. With merely a month of time, the plants had practically taken over! When he returned to the white room from the mainland, the place he landed was a small clearing in the middle of the forest, but now, it was once again a total jungle! The canopy was so dense in fact, that he couldn't see the sky at all, and couldn't tell whether it was day or night. The sight of the jungle made Meng Li fall into thought.
Soon, he realised something.
'System, since I broke through to the Qi Foundation Realm, then the whole planet should be mine now, right?'
[Yes.]
'So could you finish the generation process?'
[There's no need. When you started, for the sake of efficiency, the whole planet was transformed.]
Meng Li couldn't help but be amazed and thankful for such an efficient system. Because it remembered to take care of something back then, he didn't have more trouble now! Meng Li slowly started to realise the pros of thinking ahead. But another problem quickly came to his mind.
'System, does the Qi boost the growth of plants? How could the spa.r.s.e forest transform into such a jungle in merely a month?'
[Qi does indeed boost plant growth, but not to this degree. And the jungle here didn't grow in just a month.]
'Didn't you say that I slept for a month though?' asked Meng Li, baffled. Was the system lagging???
[It has indeed been a month in the control room, but much more time has pa.s.sed in this world.]
'Wait... Are you saying that...?' Meng Li couldn't help but be shocked. Was the system implying that the flow of time in this world was different than in the control room?!
[Yes, the flow of time in this world is much faster than in the control room. Right now, it's about a thousand times faster. So, in this world about 100 years have pa.s.sed.] (author's note: precisely 97 years. I calculated it :D)
'What?!' Meng Li would've bulged his eyes out if he could at the person telling him this. The flow of time was a thousand times faster here?!
'Doesn't that mean that I could simply sleep in the control room and one and a half years would pa.s.s here?!' such were the thoughts pa.s.sing through his head. 'Not even a years and a half, after all, this time I've slept for more than a month!' he corrected himself.
Such a change in time would be amazing for developing civilisations! After all, he merely needed to spend a month in the control rooms and a hundred years would pa.s.s here! This was an incredibly powerful tool! It was an entire lifespan of a mortal, after all!
Despite his amazement at this new information, Meng Li still had other things to do.
'System, can you show me a map of this planet?'
[Yes. Here you go.] With the reply of the system, a map of his planet resembling a map of the earth appeared in his mind. To his surprise, it was perfect - somehow the system captured his ideas about the shape of the entire world even though he didn't say them to the system. To sum it up, the entire world was split into two continents apart from the gigantic ice covering both poles, as well as a relatively big island just a bit smaller than earth's Greenland. The 'island paradise' as Meng Li decided to call the first thing he generated with the system, was located in the middle of the map. Of course, as the map was depicting a planet, the map curved, so it was more of an arbitrary design decision.
The 'mainland', or the big piece of land which was not an island in the south-west of the big island which he was currently on, was a small part of the first continent. The entire island paradise was actually located in a big lagoon, with the west continent s.h.i.+elding it from the poles. Slightly further than the west continent, the east continent was separated from the island paradise by a strip of the deep ocean - the waves on this ocean were gigantic, and Meng Li, who was quite scared of the ocean, got gooseb.u.mps from just imagining the sheer scale of them. Anyways, the west continent had a slightly weird shape - it was fat in the middle, around the equator, but thin towards the ends. The part of the continent to the south was shaped like a horn, curving to the east. The hook at the end made a little cozy little bay, perfect for pirates if it wasn't on a continent.

There were also some surprises for Meng Li, like the small islands along the equator, going all the way around the planet, linking the continents in another way. However, the thing differentiating those islands from the island paradise Meng Li created himself, was that they were each bigger, and the shallow waters didn't stretch far beyond the islands itself, meaning that each island was separated from others by at least a few dozen kilometres of deep sea. And upon further inspection of the islands, Meng Li discovered an astonis.h.i.+ng thing, which deeply excited him - the islands were practically riddled with caves, like Swiss Cheese. Some of the caves stretched far down, deep below the ocean level, but the water was prevented from entering them due to the existence of strange crystals, which seemed to have a water-repelling effect. The crystals existed in the caves' walls, and eventually stopped ocean water from progressing further up the caves, even with the immense water pressure that existed that far down. This would allow a much faster way to enter the deep sea, and Meng Li couldn't wait to put some people on the islands and see how they would develop. He was also immensely curious about the water-repellent crystals, but decided to ask the system after he was done examining the world. The extremely long cultivation sessions seemed to have an effect on his patience...
One last thing which surprised Meng Li was an island, far towards the south-east. It was close to the map border, which meant that it was practically on the other side of the planet from the island paradise. This was precisely the Greenland-sized island Meng Li spotted earlier. Upon further inspection, he realised that it was practically paradise - there were many mountains, both small and big. This island was also the place where the highest mountain in the world was located - the gigantic peak which would put Mt. Tai to shame was more than 30 kilometres tall. It was more than 3 times taller than Mt. Everest... Meng Li didn't dare imagine what air would be on the peak. As far as he could recall from geography cla.s.ses, earth's atmosphere was only 12 km tall, and above that, it was the stratosphere. He a.s.sumed that since breathing at Mt. Everest at merely 8 kms was already a ch.o.r.e, then the stratosphere wouldn't be exactly a friendly place to visit. But still, it didn't extend to s.p.a.ce, which was a shame. The rest of the island was also quite extreme. Surprisingly, both of the extremes were covered - in an una.s.suming place on the island was a ravine. And it was deep - it was in fact the deepest place on this planet, which was not in the ocean. But at the bottom of it, there were the beginnings of a lake - merely a few meters deep but still lethal if someone fell down. After all, the ravine was more than 3 km deep below the sea level, making it the deepest point on this planet. But the most lethal thing about it was the fact that the ground level above the ravine was already quite high - 5 km above the sea level. Adding up to a total of 8 km, this was an extremely deep ravine. And it was wide too - with the widest point being about halfway down, stretching a kilometre between the walls, and at the top, about 300 metres wide. The ravine was high, and acted as a connecting point between two sides of a mountain, so clouds which were blown into the mountain were channelled into this tight ravine, making it seem as though there was a river of clouds flowing inside. Meng Li could tell that even he, if he didn't fly, wouldn't survive such a drop. And the sight from the top was nothing to scoff at - he was sure that if this was on earth, it would be one of the most visited tourist attractions in the world.
After being amazed by the ingenuity of the system, Meng Li took a look at the both poles. There weren't any surprises, apart from the fact that somehow there were caves in the ice... For some reason. Despite being quite baffled by it, he couldn't find anything so he simply stopped, since it wasn't that interesting.
After concluding viewing the world, Meng Li was amazed. After all, now that he was in the Qi Foundation Realm, he could summon humans! He knew that the results of summoning them would be quite interesting.
