Kevin, who was caught off guard, choked on his drink. After coughing it all out, he put a smile on his face.
"I totally agree with you!"
They both laughed out after he said that.
"So do you know what's going on with Justin? He just cut me off like that," she said, a bit melancholic.
"I tried asking him, but he kept mute about it. You don't have to worry about it. He'll come clean sooner or later."
"If we're gonna make him talk, I need to readily approach him," she said seriously.
"What do you need me to do?"
"His location at all time. I need to be where he will be. That way, he would have no where to run."
"That's not a problem. I've got your back."
They discussed a couple more tricks they could play on the oblivious Justin.
As they were talking, Justin walked into the bar and sat in his usually corner. Kevin and Claudia were sitting in a blindspot, so when he scanned the room, he didn't see the figure he was looking for.
On one hand, he was relieved that she wasn't out drinking again after that fiasco. On the other hand, he was sad that he didn't find her. He missed her, so he was hopeful that he'd at least get to catch a glimpse of her that night.
"Seems like he's looking for you," Kevin said, nudging Claudia with his elbow.
"One minute I think he likes me, another minute he's sending me off like he doesn't care," she said as she took in Justin's presence. Her man was too fine.
"Trust me, he likes you," he giggled.
"So do you wanna start now?"
"It wouldn't hurt to give it a try," she said, standing from her seat and walking over to Justin.
Her heart was beating fast. She knew he'd act indifferently again, but a small part of her still believed that he would take her hand and accept her.
Justin saw her approaching. His heart was beating fast too. His wish had come true too soon. He hadn't expected her to pop out all of a sudden. Before he could figure out what to do, Claudia had once again sat on his laps.
"Waiting for me?" She asked in a sultry voice with a smile on her face.
Justin froze.
