PHASE 85 - THE DEMONESS WITHIN

The Erylle Fontaine standing in front of me is the familiar Erylle Fontaine I know. She is the original Outsider, who helped me and Rikkun fight our destinies. The eight wings on her back that sways in the midnight breeze are the proof that she already had her u003cDemiG.o.ddess Modeu003e active.

"Erylle…" My mouth muttered those words.

Erylle made a fixated glare on me as if she was threatened and a little bit disgusted. She materialized her Heavenly Blade u003cReginleiffu003e ready for battle.

"Tiara… I know that something is wrong with you. Ever since you absorbed the Planetary Necross Dragon, I felt a disruption in the destiny system of this universe. If only I knew that you cannot handle all the curses and evil energy at once, I should've not let this happen."

My eyes squinted to make a crimson glare at the woman who's threatening me. I made a s.a.d.i.s.tic grin, thinking of all the evil things I could do to her. All I think now is that she's the enemy.

"Ara ara~" I gently put my fingers on my cheeks. "It seems like the Erylle Fontaine of this timeline and the Outsider Erylle Fontaine is the same. I should have known since your attacks worked on one of my shadows."

"Yes, I blended in this timeline in this universe just to investigate what's happening to you. Since you are now aware of your actions, my hypothesis is now correct. The G.o.d Core that contains the infinite evil has fully corrupted your soul. When I used my Guardian Ability u003cHeartsongu003e to read your heart, I learned all the truth."

Erylle swung u003cReginleiffu003e to her right as she made slow steps forward. She lent out her soft-looking hand to me as if she wanted me to take it.

"Now be a good girl and stay where you are. I'm going to undo the Curse of Necross and seal the G.o.d Core the Brightmore Witches have protected for so long."

"My, my. I won't let that happen, you trespa.s.ser!" I shouted out loud.

I am no longer in control of myself. My sense of morality and justice is now twisted. The Erylle Fontaine who had saved my life several times has now become an enemy right in front of my eyes.

I'm going crazy.

I'm going insane.

Somebody, please help me…

"u003cBowser Spikesu003e!!!" I spread out my hand, and several crimson h.e.l.l spears sp.a.w.ned in the ground. The spears crawled towards the direction of Erylle, but good thing she was able to evade by continuously backflipping until she gained a hundred-meter distance.

"Tiara, listen to me!" Erylle cried out loud. "Your mind is corrupted! You're sick! Let me help you!"

"I don't need any help!" I roared out loud. After my outburst, I returned back to my s.a.d.i.s.tic smile and laughed at the foe who is begging for me to calm down. "I am strong. Stronger than you think. Stronger than you are!"

My thirteen shadows went in front of me to defend me, their master. The shadows sprouted hundreds of tentacles to unleash their terrific monster form with six arms, four legs, and demonic wings. With such power-up, they chased the enemy demiG.o.ddess!

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!"

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!"

"AaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAhh!!!"

"u003cAero Twirlu003e! , u003cWind Grenadeu003e!, u003cDrill Kicku003e!" DemiG.o.ddess Erylle made continuous attacks after evading and evading the tentacles. With her arrows, she pierced through the shadows. With her air bombs, she shattered the tentacles. With her quick kicks, she repelled all of their counter-attacks.

The shadows have the very same power as the one that killed my a.s.shole step-sisters, my old hag step-mother, and my genocidal twin brother. These shadows are immune to physical or mystical attacks, but they have a weakness. They can be damaged by anyone who has a connection to the Frozen Soul. It is not a surprise that Erylle can take them all.

Fighting the Outsider is really irritating, so I have to get serious. I don't want to be defeated by a mere alien of this universe who pretended to be my friend, my ally, and my leader. I have to do something to show that I have the upper hand!

"u003cToothless Silenceu003e!!!" I raised my index finger in the air, and a gentle ripple enveloped the surroundings. As soon as I cast the spell, everything became silent and devoid of noise.

Erylle was surprised when she noticed that she can no longer make sounds using her throat. She could no longer use any spells since all spells are voice-commanded. Right now, she's stuck on her basic attacks.

The demiG.o.ddess unleashed arrows that pierced my shadows one by one. Even with such a handicap, she is able to make out a formidable fight against my lackeys. When the thirteenth shadow was eliminated, I bit my lip.

Erylle landed in front and pointed her Heavenly Blade at me. Her mouth moved, but there is no voice. I am able to read her lip though, as she was saying "Surrender now, Tiara. This is for your own good."

I disabled the u003cToothless Silenceu003e by raising my index fingers again. I did this just for us ex-Frozen Souls to talk and intimidate each other.

"Are you doing this because I hurt your precious Yohan?" I unleashed a s.a.d.i.s.tic smile.

"No. I'm doing this for you and for Alaric. Your fate is no longer written in the Akas.h.i.+c Records, and I am here to fix it." Erylle answered.

"Ara~ You must be mistaken. I am strong. I do not need any help. Rikkun and I can have our happy ending without your intervention!~"

"I'll just force you to cooperate, then." Erylle sighed, which is a sign of disappointment in me. She held her heart and a silver glow brightened on her chest. "u003cG.o.ddess Core: Artemis Ascensionu003e!!!"

Erylle powered up to a divine being by converting her hair to silver, her battle dress to greek robes with animal pelts, and a crescent-moon longbow. With the power of the G.o.ddes of the Hunt, she is absolutely a beast in battle.

To match the power, I called upon the curse of s.h.i.+rayuki and Necross to myself. Ten dark tails emerged from my back, and a set of dark fox ears sp.a.w.ned at the top of my head. Golden claws extended my fingers, and dark orbs started floating around me. My lips slowly move to reveal the name of my absolute divinity transformation.

"u003cCorrupted G.o.ddess Core: Necross Izanami, Ishtar, Sitan Ascensionu003e"

Artemis Erylle was fazed to see my ultimate form. She was filled with dread and fear as she noticed the aura I'm emitting to the surroundings. It is an evil divinity at loose, and everyone who is blessed enough to see me in this form would conclude that I have the absolute power like the Corrupted Frozen Soul.

"What… what in the world happened to you…" Erylle's mouth trembled as she spoke.

"h.e.l.l's waiting for you, Erylle Fontaine~" I giggled maliciously.

Erylle immediately flapped her eight wings to gain alt.i.tude. She charged her moon-like bow with her Heavenly Blade u003cReginleiffu003e, absorbing quantum time particles in the air. By gathering all the prana in different timelines, the u003cReginleiffu003e glowed gold, ready to unleash her ultimate attack!

"u003cGuardian's Destinyu003e!!!"

I did not do anything to block the attack.

I just smiled.

I was able to bend reality at will. I constructed fate and reprogram the world to do my bidding. I immediately teleported Erylle in front of me and have her take the u003cGuardian's Destinyu003e attack on my behalf. The giant golden arrow pierced through her left chest, removing her left shoulder and arm in the process.

"Gyah!!!" Artemis Erylle cried.

Erylle fell down on her knees, deactivating her G.o.ddess Core. The golden arrow is still stuck on her body, and there are golden specks of dust that danced around her. As the u003cGuardian's Destinyu003e attack she took froze her fate, she was so helpless when I made it near to her and touch her cheek.

"Tiara… don't do this…" Erylle begged for mercy. "I believe in you… I believe in your power, your determination to never give up… I believe that you can withstand the curse…"

"I don't know~" I charmingly made a smirk to the blonde woman. "But I do think you will never be able to withstand this curse."

I showed my delicate hands covered with a silky black glove. There is a golden claw at the tip of my fingers that made it look like the hand of a demoness. I made my hand a little bit more demonic when I chanted a forbidden dark spell on it.

"Kyah!"

Erylle's cry was short when I shoved my hand to her chest. In an instant, the beautiful blonde woman's heart ceased to function. It immediately rotted like tomatoes that were left to dry in the summer season. 

With such power, I was able to put the Outsider dead for good.
