Ye Hongling finished her sentence. Her eyes were full of satisfaction in her own plot. 'Ye Qingyi is ugly and useless. I really can't understand why father loves her so much.' She had hoped Ye Qingyi to die for long, and her plot for killing someone with another's hand was quite a nice try.

Just when Ye Hongling was thinking about how to celebrate eliminating Ye Qingyi, a cart was approaching from the distance. Ye Hongling looked up and recognized the cart was the same luxury cart that had pa.s.sed by just now. Her eyes sparkled and she was hysteric, but she pretended to be moaning.

"I'm afraid it's Prince Yi sending elder sister's body back."

Hua Yue heard that and rushed towards the cart. She yelled, "My Lady, my lady…"

The cart had slowly come to a stop. Just when Ye Qingyi was about to get off, Huangfu Yi, who did not say a word along the way, uttered, "Watch out for that woman."

Ye Qingyi was shocked at first, but quickly caught on. Huangfu Yi's cart was luxurious and glamorous, so naturally the horses must be excellent ones. But they became abnormally mad just by the General's mansion. a.s.sociating it with the cunningness of Ye Hongling, Ye Qingyi could easily know that it was Ye Hongling who made some maneuver.

The reminder of Huangfu Yi had made Ye Qingyi feel warm inside her heart. With a smile, she replied in a low voice, "See you, Your Highness."

Hua Yue had shouted for a while from the outside, but there was no reply from the cart. Her heart had sunken to the bottom, as she burst into tears.

Ye Hongling approached her and kept teasing, "Oh, what an unfortunate life, my sister. I'd never thought that you would die this young. What a pity!"

Just when Ye Hongling finished her sentence, a clear and delightful voice came from the cart, "We are such good sisters. Why do you curse me?"

Hua Yue and Ye Hongling were both shocked after hearing the voice. But then, Hua Yue was crazily happy, while Ye Hongling looked extremely disappointed.

Ye Qingyi dismounted the cart elegantly. Hua Yue wiped off the tears on her face quickly and went forward to hold Ye Qingyi. She examined her Mistress from head to toe. Seeing that she was completely unharmed, Hua Yue was finally relieved.

On the other hand, Ye Hongling saw Ye Qingyi as if she had seen a ghost. She held her slim hands tightly and bit her lips, looking unreconciled and furious.

Ye Qingyi looked at Ye Hongling's expression playfully, and she said with a fake smile, "Sister, do you know the sin for cursing General's eldest daughter of lineal descent?"

A simple sentence of Ye Qingyi had struck Ye Hongling like lightning. Ye Hongling was horrified, and she quickly explained for herself:

"Sister, I didn't curse you. I just recognized that it was Prince Yi's cart. I cared about your safety, sister, and that's why I slipped my tongue. I didn't mean it, sister."

"You didn't mean it, but you did it deliberately, right?" There was a bright smile on Ye Qingyi's face, but the words were as cold as the ice cone hanging on the roof. 

"Surely, I know my sister is sincere. However, you said something like that in public. If some gossiping heard it, they would question your family education.

I already had a bad reputation, so I don't really care about this naturally. However, you, my sister, are different. You do have a nice reputation among the ladies in the capital.

If you ruin your reputation just because of some careless mistakes, I, as your sister, will feel much unsettled. In order to avoid such things from happening, I have to teach you a lesson."

The words were thrilling for Ye Hongling. Ye Qingyi seemed so unfamiliar to her now.

The Ye Qingyi before was a moron. But the present one had such deep thoughts that even if she was trying to do something evil to her, it was all reasonable and hard to pick on.

Just when Ye Hongling was about to rebut, Ye Qingyi interrupted her and commanded Hua Yue, "Hua Yue, slap my sister. Remember, exert your force, or else people would accuse me of defending my own sister by just acting it rather than doing it."

"Ye Qingyi, you…" Ye Hongling was so furious.

Hua Yue had always hated the bossy Second Mistress. After receiving the order from Ye Qingyi, Hua Yue pulled her sleeves up and slapped against Ye Hongling before Ye Hongling had even finished her sentence.

Ye Hongling had never thought that a maid would really beat her, so she did not even dodge and took the slap hard on. She was completely stunned, and her cheeks had swollen in the blink of an eye.

Hue Yue was beating Ye Hongling happily, but Ye Qingyi shook her head and sighed, "Too soft! Did you skip your meal, Hua Yue? Never mind. I will demonstrate it to you myself."

After losing her mind for a short while, Ye Hongling was so triggered by Ye Qingyi's words. She drew a few silver needles and held them in her hands. Ye Qingyi was striding towards Ye Hongling, but before Ye Hongling even had the chance to use the needles.

An almond was shot from the cart. It hit the acupuncture point of Ye Hongling in a flash, and she immediately stopped her motion and stood right there.

Ye Qingyi looked at the cart gratefully, and she silently exclaimed:

"The original Ye Qingyi only knew some basic Kung Fu. This body is way too bad at flexibility and agility. It could hardly beat the hardworking Ye Hongling who has been practicing martial arts since a young age. If it were not for the person in the cart, Ye Qingyi would have been hurt."

Ye Qingyi silently cursed for Ye Hongling's cunningness, and she exerted full force to slap on Ye Hongling's face. Ye Hongling's face had swollen instantly with palm shapes on it.

"Sister, I am hitting you, but it hurts my heart, too. I did it for your good though. I hope you would be more careful with your words in the future."

Ye Qingyi's lips ticked in a teasing curve, and she left joyfully. Hua Yue followed. Ye Hongling was left there standing alone. Her eyes were red, and there was fire of revenge burning in her heart.

Inside the cart, Huangfu Yi grinned and glimpsed towards the direction Ye Qingyi was leaving through the chiffon curtain. He said emotionlessly, "Go home."

Then, the cart slowly left the General's Mansion steadily. Inside the cart, Huangfu Yi rubbed his chin, and a soft smile appeared on his rosy lips.

Leng Yu, seeing his smile, was so shocked that he almost fell. It seemed that his Master was in love.

Leng Yu was making comments silently in his heart as Huangfu Yi said, "I want information of Ye Qingyi."

Leng Yu did not really get it as he heard the order, and he asked, "What information about Miss Ye would you like to know, Master?"

Huangfu Yi's voice was cold, and he blurted without hesitation, "Everything!"

Ye Qingyi lived in the Picturesque Pavilion in the General's Mansion. It was s.p.a.cious with elegant decorations and perfect views. Apparently Ye Zuohou loved his daughter more than anything in the world.

Just when Ye Qingyi entered the courtyard, she saw a maid in yellow tr.i.m.m.i.n.g the flowers facing away from the door. Another maid in green was also facing away from the door. They were chatting something.

Ye Qingyi and Hua Yue's footsteps were light as they entered, and the two maids did not hear them coming. When Ye Qingyi heard them gossiping about her, their lady, excitedly, she couldn't help stopping and listening curiously.
