She covered her face and looked up at him.

Suddenly, she found that she didn’t seem to know this man. She had failed to truly know him after all these years.

In the living room, his expression was gloomy, and the tall figure stood against the light, making people feel chilly. Pei Ziheng stepped forward to grab her thin coat and gave her a backhanded heavy slap. He hissed word by word. “You are so daring, how dare you kill someone? Do you know how much trouble killing w.a.n.g Jingwan will bring to me?!”

She suddenly opened her eyes and even forgot the pain. What, w.a.n.g Jingwan was dead?!

She looked at him incredulously, her lips twitching before she finally said, “I, I didn’t kill her.”

“You still dare to make excuses?!” Pei Ziheng was furious. He slammed her onto the floor. “Why didn’t you tell me when you went to find her yesterday?! You didn’t dare to tell me because you were killing someone! She died in the coffee shop because of a poisoned cup with your fingerprints on it. The coffee shop even has a surveillance video of you inside!”

Xia Ling was shocked. How could w.a.n.g Jingwan have suddenly died there?

“Pa!” Pei Ziheng gave her a tight slap.

“Don’t challenge my endurance,” he said gloomily and softly. He dragged her up with one hand to their bedroom. He tied her to the bed and tore her clothes. “Xia Ling, you’re refusing to tell me, right? Then we’ll do it again like last night.” He knew she was scared and was in great pain. Her painful moans and screams last night still echoed in his ears. All these years she had been spoiled by him, and couldn’t stand even a little bit of pain, not to mention rudeness and ruthless violation.
