495 Special Realm

After hearing the report, he came back to his room. Anya asked about what he wanted to do, but Alex simply said, "If he wants to pursue my disciple, do it without his background. If he crosses the line and brings his family, I shall beat the parents first before killing the son. This way, if he tried to say, 'Don't you know who I am? and blah blah.' I can just present his parents' heads and say, 'I only know these guys died in my hand.' Then the situation will be resolved."

Anya was laughing when she heard that. She could somehow imagine what kind of expression that person would have. Besides, he really moved his family, so he was on Alex's wanted list.

Knowing his answer, she then left him alone, so he could consolidate his strength. Sherry was a bit disappointed, but she still let him go. The three years agreement from Alex kept playing inside her head, making her a bit impatient.

Her solution was to cultivate to skip the time. Surprisingly, Sherry literally slept like a normal human when cultivated, unlike Alex, who sat on lotus pose while absorbing the Spiritual Energy. And unlike her fox form, she kept rolling around the bed, making Anya often come to fix her clothes.

On the other hand, Alex took a full two months just to consolidate his strength. He was planning to advance to Martial Emperor first before refining the pills.

According to Anya, there was a big movement from the Human Race. They wanted Alex's to be a part of their race. They even tried to take the guild master of Empyrean Guild and Lilian to the World Summit. Sadly, Alex did not really care about that, so no matter how hard they argued, Alex would simply shrug his shoulder. Besides, Alex was as strong as their ruler when the World Summit began, so he did not need to be afraid.

Nothing big was going on for the Elven Race. They wanted to get Alex, but since he did not have any desire in this world, they just focused on Shelka and put Alex away. Hearing that, Alex was relieved.

The moment he had finished his closed-door cultivation, he wanted to borrow a quite large land from Stina to make a Special Realm. Even though he did not really care about this world, it was still out of his character not to be careful. He was not an attention seeker anyway, so he did not really care if the world did not know about it.

He came to Stina, who was helping Kyle in his cultivation. "I think I will have my breakthrough now."

"Do you need anything from me?" Stina asked, wondering what Alex wanted. After all, Alex never came to ask something and she did not really know about Lightning Tribulation.

"Well, I want to ask if there is a quite big land that I can borrow for a few days… If possible, one that people don't know." He asked. He could just come to anywhere he wanted in this continent and just used one of them to build his Special Realm. But he thought it would be better to ask the ruler and borrow one.

"There are many of those here. I can lead you to those places if you want. I can even dispatch a few soldiers to guard the place." She said.

"I don't need guards since no one would know about it as long as I construct the array." Alex shook his head.

"Well, I will lead you to the nearest one. It is a half-day trip from here." Stina nodded.

"Thanks."

"Kyle, I am going for a bit, okay?" Stina said to Kyle, who was sitting in lotus pose.

"Yes." Kyle answered and opened his eyes before clasping his hands to Alex. "Master, may fortune be with you."

"Yes. I'm off, Kyle." Alex smiled

Alex and Stina then left the room, but Alex wanted to say goodbye to Anya and Sherry first before going. Hence, they went back to his courtyard. Surprisingly, the answer he got was,

"No!"

Alex was surprised to hear their answer.

"I need to come with Master to make sure no one would disturb you." Sherry pouted.

"I will make a Special Realm for that."

"I can also heal you after you finish your tribulation," Anya said.

"I don't usually get an injury with my tribulation…"

Anya then changed her answer. "Your lightning tribulation is special, so I am afraid something might happen to you. Even if Anna and the others were here, they would surely come with you."

Alex could only nod, accepting their request. "Alright. Anyway, we are going now."

Anya and Sherry nodded happily.

Four of them then flew according to Stina's direction and arrived at a barren land half a day later. Taking out the rank 6 blood, Alex started making the array on the ground.

He made an Extended World Array first before covering it up with an illusion array. Inside, he made two Gathering Arrays as well as a few rank 5 Lightning Rod Arrays. The first Gathering Array was for his cultivation while the other one was to maintain the barrier. He only used natural energy because he only needed this array to hide his tribulation, so there was no need for a huge amount of energy.

Stina also decided to watch it because she was a bit curious. And with her status, he allowed her to watch. There were already Anya and Sherry, so having another one would pose no issue.

It took him two hours to set up all of these arrays to make a system for his Special Realm. Despite that, the array was only two hundred in diameter. If he wanted to make a big one like Zwaka's or Maxwell's, he would need a few days to set up the system entirely and enough materials.

He started activating his array from the Gathering Array, Extended World Array and Illusion Array. When he activated the Extended World Array, he was surprised to see the array shoot light to the sky. Luckily, the light was dim and no one would really notice this light unless they were close.

The light then started linking with his array and made a transparent barrier. He then channeled his Spiritual Energy into his Illusion Array, making it blend with the surroundings. If they came here, they would just see a normal scenery unless they b.u.mped into this array.

He let out a long breath, feeling relieved.

"Alex, since you don't really make a Special Realm, how about you try all the features in this array before undergoing your tribulation? I mean, you can try making a token as a key for this array. Or maybe you can try to create a timing that can open the array for a set time interval." Anya suggested.

Hearing this, Alex pondered for a while. What she said was true and if he wanted to make a base with this, he would need to try all the concepts first.

"Yes. You might be right." Alex nodded and made a little tweaking on the array, creating a 'keyhole' in his array.

Not long after, he made the keys from an Array Paper and gave it to everyone. He wanted to check if all of them can go in with the four keys.

Alex was a bit nervous when he tested it, but luckily, the test was a success.

He then tweaked the array again, making a timer inside his array. It would open and close every minute. After seeing it worked properly for half an hour, he tested it with a different set of intervals.

He then asked Stina to attack the array to make sure it could withstand her attack. If not, Zwaka's place or his master's realm would have been broken a long time ago.

It could withstand Stina's full attack three times before it started to crack. His s.p.a.ce Element had already reinforced the barrier and to make sure no one could teleport inside, but it was still not enough.

He needed a few more Gathering Arrays to make the barrier even stronger, which was the solution for that, but he did not do it in this case. There were three other solutions: to use a Spirit Stone Mine below the ground if there was one or let the Special Realm for a period of time to let the field inside mutate and create a Spirit Stone Mine, like Zwaka's. The last solution was to use his own Spirit Stones.

Even though it took more than a day to confirm all of that, Alex was very satisfied with the result nonetheless.

He looked at Sherry, Anya, and Stina. "I will be starting now. Wish me luck."

"This Lightning Tribulation can't stop you." Anya smiled.

"That's right. Just destroy the Lightning Tribulation with Master's power." Sherry nodded furiously while Stina could only say, "Good luck."

Alex then started cultivating without Gathering Array, waiting until his Lightning Tribulation to come. It took him a few days to trigger the lightning tribulation.

Stina was a bit shocked when she saw a huge black cloud hovering in the sky above Alex. There was a sense of dread when she saw this cloud, telling her it was coming from Heaven itself.

Anya came to her, tapping her shoulder a few times. "Don't panic and no matter how hard it is, just endure it and don't help him. This is the basic rule."

Stina nodded and turned back to the black cloud. The thunder was rumbling loudly, sending an ominous presence. Stina was able to see four different colors inside this black cloud which was Yellow, Blue, Purple, and Gold.

"You have seen how he could block a power that Qeigess's lightning, right? This is one of the reasons… In fact, Qeigess could not be compared to his tribulation." Anya smiled. "He always had a tribulation like this every time he had a major breakthrough, so he always needed a stronger power or else, his cultivation would be stagnant."

She gulped down, only believing a portion of what she said. She clenched her fists, imagining if she was the one who had this lightning tribulation.

Suddenly, Alex released his domain, letting his current four hundred meter domain for the world to see. He slowly opened his eyes, standing and looking at the black cloud with a serious expression.

This time, he instantly took out his Rank 6 Spear and Fire Elemental Sword because he felt he could not look down on his tribulation anymore.

His Pure Fire also gushed out from the Phoenix Seed, hovering around his body. This time, Alex controlled it so Stina and Sherry would not feel the pressure. He took a deep breath before raising his sword and said, "Come!"

*Rumble Rumble!*

The thunder rumbled for one last time before a bolt of glowing yellow lightning struck forth.
