She really has had many life and death encounters with demonic beasts. Some of which she had just barely survived. Hearing this I finally relaxed a bit. But I was still tense. This was going to be my first real battle. On Earth, I never even got into a fight with anyone never mind battling demonic beasts. I slapped my face and went to the sled and pulled out a long pipe made out of some kind of metal. I had no idea what kind of metal it was but the pipe itself seemed very strong. I brought it with us to use for defense. Unfortunately, Rio had no real weapons at her house.

"Ready when you are, Rio." Determination was written all over my face. This was my first battle and would not be my last one. If I wanted to build my kingdom I would need resources from the ruins of this world.

"Okay, for now, we just wait and watch the entrance and see what patrols are out. If we are lucky we can catch the attention of a straggler." Rio explained as she slowly started moving the sled forward.

We did not get too close to the ruins. We did not want to alarm any of the demonic beasts. We stayed under the hot sun watching the entrance for almost four hours before Rio spotted a straggler! "Get ready I will attract it!"

Rio picked up a rock and tossed it over towards the demonic beast. This demonic beast was called a Moa'tol it looked like it was made of rocks but it actually had a soft body. When The rock landed on the ground the sound caught the Moa'tol's attention. The Moa'tol rolled over to where the rock had landed which was a few meters away from the ruins entrance. Once it was pulled away from the entrance Rio once again threw a rock this time it hit the Mao'tol sending it into a rage! It looked up and saw two figures in the distance, it immediately formed into a ball and shot towards where Rio and I were standing!

"Get ready!" Rio whispered as she ran and hid behind the sled, leaving me standing there by myself.

To be honest, when I first saw the demonic beast rolling towards me I almost wet myself. I mean it was scary looking okay! I quickly stuck out my hand and focused on creating a fireball. Within seconds the fireball was formed and was now flying towards the Moa'tol... And I missed… The Mao'tol after seeing how I attacked it and had only missed by a hair's breadth it picked up speed and jumped right at me! I quickly raised my metal pipe and swung at the Moa'tol hitting it directly on the head. It let out a pained roar as it stopped mid-air and moved back a little ways.

My heart was going crazy. The adrenaline inside me was racing through my body. I was praising myself internally for bringing the metal pipe! Although it really did no damage on that swing it was enough to save my life!
