"OK. So this time it's my topic, right?"
"Yes, Sean. It's your turn this week."
Every time Sean has a topic for us it is always something we can't get involved in. Either it's something both Ethan and I know nothing about or just don't care about. Hopefully this time it will be different. Sean has a habit of breaking all the rules we made for this but we just let him off.
"Right. Ok. Here it goes. So I have this football game coming up."
And here it is, football. Something we both know nothing about.
"Sigh… what about it?"
"Well, it's just that I'm nervous, this is a tense game for us as if we lose this we are in trouble. Plus all our female fans seem to be causing issues."
Female fans? I can only think of one female fan and she isn't much of an issue.
"Stop bragging about your female fans." Ethan added.
"I don't want to lie."
How annoying. Why must he remind me of my loneliness?
"Well, I also have some female fans."
Who does Ethan have that's a fan of his? Forget the female part, I just want to know what psycho is his fan.
"You mean your sister?"
Oh yeah, that explains it. How could I forget.
"Pfft..n-noooooo."
It's 100% his sister.
"Well, at least I have someone who likes me, unlike Owen."
I'm fine with people not liking me, it means I don't have to deal with people.
"What issues are these fans causing?"
"Well, they are very loud and noisy from time to time. Last game they even attempted to argue with the referee when one of our players was given a yellow card."
"Really? What happened to make him have a yellow card?"
"He tried to punch someone."
And the girls from our school tried to defend him? I would have given him a red card for trying to start a fight.
"Well, punching someone does make sense. I guess if you were to punch someone that wouldn't be allowed. But since it's a foot-based game I'm sure kicking is allowed, right?"
Why would kicking be allowed?
"Yes, kicking is allowed. Before the match starts we pick out a name at random from a list of players on the enemy team and try to break their leg by tackling."
Eh? Just what exactly is this school? Are they playing football or MMA?
"I see. So it's more physical than I thought."
Why is Ethan listening to Sean? I thought Sean was a good guy but now that I hear he is trying to take people out I'm convinced he might be a hitman.
"Well anyway, so what do you think I should do."
"Why don't you just bring Ethan to the next game, he'll scare away all the girls." I said
"Dude. Sniff… why would you say that?" Tears slowly rolled down Ethan's face. Am I supposed to feel bad?
"Why are you crying? stop with the fake crying."
"Hmpf… I wasn't fake crying. I wasn't even crying, I was just sweating from my eyes."
See, what did I tell ya, fake crying. The tears stopped within seconds and he was back to acting as if nothing had happened.
"So about these girls? How many of them are there?"
"Hmm… it's usually a small group. You know that Charley girl? it's her friends."
So she still hangs out with them, even after I threw water on their face. I wonder why. Perhaps she is a m.a.s.o.c.h.i.s.t?
"Well if it's that Charley girl why not get Owen to deal with her."
"Why do I have to do it? She is old enough to do what she wants, just cause I've spoken to her once or twice doesn't mean I'm her legal guardian."
"Aw… but she is cute and fragile like a hamster?"
Trust me she isn't cute.
"I thought you two got along?" Sean asked.
"No, I've only spoken to her once or twice and that's that. She was the one who confessed to you and that's all there is to it. I don't know her."
"Aw… lame. What would you do if she heard you say that and cried."
"She wouldn't cry. She'd probably hit me or get her younger sister to get me arrested."
"Well, whatever you are into, dude. I don't judge."
Ah. No, It did come off like that, but that's not what I meant.
"I feel bad for Charley," Sean said. "She is kinda cute but she doesn't have anything interesting about her."
Yikes. Sean isn't holding back, is he? What if she heard this and cried?
"She isn't that bad," I said. "She is pretty fun to tease."
"Hmmm." Ethan's eyes latched onto me. He brought his face closer to mine as if he was investigating something. He got too close for me so I pushed him off his chair causing him to fall on the floor and awkwardly climb back up.
"You know, don't they say that if you tease someone it's cause you like them."
Huh?

"Like in romance all the main girls tease the main guy and it's cause they secretly like them."
What is he trying to say?
"What I mean is, do you like Charley?"
"Ethan. I'm going to ask you to be quiet for a minute. Think about what you said. And see if you want to take back anything. I'll give you 5 seconds."
"Eh. W-what are you talking about."
"5…"
"Why are you counting?"
"3,2,1 Times up."
I kicked at the legs of Ethan's chair sending him cras.h.i.+ng into the wall.
"What happened to counting? That wasn't 5 seconds." Ethan said mortally wounded.
"Eh. I got bored."
"You shouldn't have said that, Ethan," Sean said. "That's why I keep quiet around this guy. I've always known he wanted to kill us. He has a weird serial killer vibe going on."
Well, I guess I'll take that as a compliment. Thank you, Sean.
