Three days later.

A youth with brown hair and eyes, wearing a black robe and wielding a wood staff was walking inside the middle layers of Shabu Forest. He had a cautious gaze as he kept glancing at the tall trees and green bushes around him, seemingly wary of a surprise attack.

"I have almost enough points, come on..." Adam was fifty points less of buying something great at the shop, so he went deeper than usual in the forest. He did so because he didn't see any beast until now and he was getting impatient.

"Really, any kind of beast would be fine right now, I just want points..." Adam was getting annoyed by the lack of beasts already. Suddenly, he heard the sounds of branches break coming from his front, and he could see a shadow of a figure.

'Is it a Spirit Beast?' He was happy that he finally found one, but that happiness turned to panic as the shadow covered his whole body and a figure as tall as a wall appeared in his vision. The figure was a big bear with blood-like dark red fur, standing in two paws, the bear had it's back facing Adam. He cursed his d.a.m.n mouth for setting up such a flag for himself.

"System what the h.e.l.l is this thing.." Adam hushedly asked the system as he started chanting Fire s.h.i.+eld.

"Blood Bear, A Spirit Beast as strong as a middle-rank Martial Apprentice. The system recommends the host to flee and not cast any spells, as it has higher than normal magical energy sensibility."

Unfortunately, the system warning was too late as Adam completed the chant and made a Fire s.h.i.+eld, and as soon as the s.h.i.+eld was made, the bear suddenly turned its head and glared straight at Adam who was hiding a bush. Adam felt a chill.

The bear went all fours and ran at Adam, who was casting spells at it full of panic.

"Fireball!"

"Fireball!"

The bear was. .h.i.t by two fireb.a.l.l.s, one straight at the face and it hit the other one with its paw. Its speed didn't increase and it finally reached Adam, it stood up and sent a paw strike with all it's strength and bodyweight!

Adam's Fire s.h.i.+eld stood in front of him and was. .h.i.t instead, it emitted fire as the bear paw hit it. Still, Adam knew the s.h.i.+eld would break!

Mages had a great reaction time because of their fast minds, so he almost instinctively pointed his hand to the ground beside him. A light blue, rope-like thing came out of his hand at an incredible speed and hit the ground, pus.h.i.+ng him out of the way. At the same time, the s.h.i.+eld immediately broke and the bear hand hit the ground where he was standing just now.

With his great reaction time, Adam wasted no time on anything else and immediately pointed his staff at the face of the bear, who was still processing what happened. The staff was very close, around two fingers of distance aways from its face.

"EARTH BIND!!!" Adam frantically shouted and chanted an Earth Bind spell with nearly all the mana he had left, leaving enough for him to not faint.

The Earth rose near the bear neck, and like a snake, it bound and strangled its neck. The bear frantically resisted and tried to get it out of its neck.

Adam finally had time to do something, and he took out a Mana Potion with a trembling hand and an immense headache. He immediately drank it, feeling his mana getting restored, he wasted no time.

"EARTH BIND!!" He used another earth bind, with the same amount of mana of the one earlier, and this time he bound the bear arms. He drank another potion and did it again, and again until the bear completely bound to the ground without being able to move.

He slowly walked towards the bear, still drinking a lot of potions. He stared right into the bear rage-filled eyes, lifted up his staff, and with all his power, shoved it right into its left eye!

"AAUUUUUH!!!" As the bear pained scream sounded through the forest, Adam slowly began to chant.

"Fire, become a ball and destroy my enemies, FIREBALL!!!!!"

*BOOOM*

The bear head exploded.
