The 160 players surrounding them are likely what makes up one of the forefront dungeons raiding groups for their guild in the 1st server. Jose wasn't completely sure, however, there's a likely chance that not all players would make the move to transfer over to the 2nd server and start again, especially the players at the very top. Granted, money and reputation can move just about everyone.
Beelzebub, the leader of Noob Killers in both the 1st and 2nd server likely made the transfer to the 2nd server to try and rank higher in the international guild rankings. And with the support of their top tier players, they have a much greater chance of ranking much higher up due to their experience.
They currently surrounded Jose and his friends, the tanks at the front to prevent any damage from coming upon the players behind them. The Archers and Mages readied their weapons, Mages held their staffs up high while the Archers nocked their arrows and pulled their bowstrings.
"This shouldn't be too hard," Beelzebub said arrogantly as he raised his hand, one finger extended. "Fire."
The Archers and Mages shot off their attacks simultaneously, the array of spells shot through the air, Fireb.a.l.l.s tore the wind apart while Icy Wind froze the water molecules. Beelzebub grinned coldly at the sight, he was confident in his heart that the party of players in front of him were guaranteed death. However, despite all the confidence, something was keeping him motionless, the fear from the skill still slightly lingered in his mind.
His eyes widened from the surprise of what he saw. Luke and Harrison both smiled brightly, their teeth glistening in the sun. The two took a step back and went shoulder to shoulder, they stabbed their s.h.i.+elds into the ground and bent their legs, leaning against the s.h.i.+eld. The rest of the party hid behind the two, they did some tricks requiring flexibility and managed to make it so that none of their limbs was sticking out of the protection.
The Fireb.a.l.l.s were the first to smash against the s.h.i.+eld, the force from the explosion knocked the group back a couple of feet; realising the power behind the Fireb.a.l.l.s they swiftly shattered their form and morphed into a more supportive form. Blake and Dylan's backs were pus.h.i.+ng against Luke and Harrison's back, their legs were bent and their feet slightly digging into the ground.
Adam suddenly disappeared, with the number of explosions the smoke that surrounded them created the perfect smokescreen for himself. Jose, Maddy, and Hayley all readied their attacks, and although they were currently blinded by the smoke, they still remembered the general position of where all the players were standing.
Jose cast Earthquake on the Tanks, granted, he wouldn't be able to hit all of them, but with his Earthquake's level, he should at least be able to disbalance 3 – 4 of them. Once it was cast, they heard a couple of grunts and shouts before one resounding order from Beelzebub.
"Archers and Mages without a Tank, move!" Beelzebub shouted loudly, in the corner of his eyes he managed to catch a glimpse of the ground shaking beneath a few Tanks. It slowly intensified before finally, the earth beneath the Tank's feet shattered and ruptured, they were swiftly thrown off balance. Then, once that was done it would mean that the Mages' and Archers' protection was down.
"Fire," Jose muttered in the cloud of smoke to Hayley and Maddy who were both right next to him. The two grinned before releasing the bowstring from their grasp, the arrows swiftly left the string, piercing through the smoke as the streaked towards the area behind where Jose cast Earthquake.
Fortunately, due to Beelzebub believing that their death was guaranteed, he didn't account for the fact that once those unprovoked parties attacked them, they would be tagged by the game system. Now, just from the death of a couple of people as determined through the sounds of bodies thumping against the ground through the smoke, those players just lost plenty of their items as well as losing a hefty amount of their experience.
Beelzebub clicked his tongue at the sight, he truly didn't expect for the group of newbies to be able to create a comeback so swiftly and execute it so perfectly. 'It seems they happen to possess a knack for games, well that's a rather annoying thing. Fortunately, once we clear that dungeon we're probably never going to meet again.'
Beelzebub's eyes widen with shock and surprise when the cloud of smoke suddenly burst open, one of the tanks, Harrison. His s.h.i.+eld was held close as he made a mad dash forwards, straight into one of the other tanks. And, due to Harrison's superior level, the tank was flung back, landing on his back.
Two arrows whizzed past his head, narrowly missing his head, just grazing past his ears. The arrows nailed two of the Mages that were hiding behind the Tank, and, since their performance was so efficient and unpredicted, the Mages didn't have any time to dodge, even the Swordsmen and Archers that were right by the Mages weren't able to react in any way.
"Swordsmen move in and keep them targeting you! Tanks keep those Mages and Archers covered! a.s.sa.s.sins, go around to flank them before making a decisive blow!" Beelzebub shouted out towards his guild. Unfortunately, it wasn't until later in the game when one levels up their guild to a certain extent would team chat be enabled.
Guilds were already a rare necessity at the beginning stages of the game, however, after a year or two, there could easily be a thousand guilds in one state, possibly even tens of thousands dependent on when someone lives. But, the game developers made sure to now make it completely boring, they added in guild levels and certain levels unlock special guild abilities such as guild/team chat.
Suddenly, Beelzebub took a step to the side, he heard footsteps rustling the bushes behind him lightly and twisted his entire body, swinging his sword along with it. Once his body began rotating, he couldn't stop, his sword continued along his path while a dark figure ducked beneath the sword and stabbed towards Beelzebub's head.
*Cling!*

Adam's eyes widened with the sudden emergence of an impenetrable wall that seemed to block out the sun; seeing that his attack failed he retreated a couple of steps. The Tank that blocked him looked at him with cold, emotionless eyes. The Tank dashed forward, his figure almost looked like a train to Adam due to its size.
Adam clicked his tongue in annoyance before das.h.i.+ng forwards, he grabbed onto the s.h.i.+eld lightly before leaping into the air. His body twisted and spun through the air, he landed on the Tank's shoulders before grabbing hold of his dagger and stabbing down.
The Tank suddenly grinned widely, Adam's eyes widened when he realised the Tank leapt into the air and twisted his body slightly. Twisting his head he noticed the Tank was planning on ramming him against the tree; with his low health and the Tank's high strength, it would come as to no surprise that he'll be heavily damaged, possibly even killed if he's. .h.i.t in a vital area.
Adam leapt off the Tank's shoulder and twisted his body through the air to narrowly dodge an arrow that whizzed past his neck. Landing back on the ground he leapt back and went behind a tree before merging with the darkness of the forest.
"Mages, blast him to pieces!" Beelzebub ordered coldly. The fact that the a.s.sa.s.sin was able to break past his defences despite not possessing the stealth skill meant he was incredibly dangerous; Beelzebub wanted to eliminate him first, that way, Adam wouldn't be able to show up later if they were ever in a crucial moment.
The Mages to Beelzebub's back lifted their staffs, Fireb.a.l.l.s formed in the air before being sent flying, their intense flames left sparks in their trail. Adam clicked his tongue in annoyance at the sight, he immediately dashed further into the forest to escape the attacks.
Beelzebub wouldn't allow Adam to leave so easily; a couple of more mages behind him raised their staffs, a chilling wind blew through the forest, freezing the leaves and gra.s.s as it made its way to Adam.
Adam noticed it coming from behind and leapt onto a tree branch before leaping into the air, the branch behind him swiftly froze completely before he landed back on it. Adam looked to Beelzebub will dark eyes; the Tank stood in front of Beelzebub and looked back.
"Tsk," Adam was getting more and more annoyed at the Tank, constantly interrupting his attacks, both physical and mental. His mental attacks revolved around constantly tormenting his opponents; however, with the Tank being on constant guard he couldn't get an attack through. So instead, Adam decided to retreat for now; his body blitzed through the darkness, jumping from tree to tree as he disappeared.
Beelzebub was frustrated by the fact he wasn't able to deal with Adam right away; however, he did have confidence in his Tank, GreatWallOfChina, to keep him protected no matter what. He turned his attention back to the original battlefield which was still engulfed by smoke and dust.
Beelzebub slightly hated how this game implemented real-life physical and elements into the game; through this, many of the top 10 players usually use terrain to their absolute advantage. Especially if those players have skills which can affect the environment; such as a Mage's Fireball or Icy Wind. It was also due to this that they weren't able to climb higher on the rankings.
Turning around he noticed his subordinates weren't doing anything, they were currently looking at him with a slightly tilted head. "Sir, those people already escaped into the Forest of Spiders. Do you want us to keep track of them?"
Another reason as to why they weren't higher on the Internally Guild Rankings was also due to the nature of their guild. Although Beelzebub was confident in their PVP capabilities, most of them specialised in PVE, that way, they could clear dungeons and the like before most and get certain rewards. It was also the reason they were in the hardest difficulty Town of Beginnings; since they were confident in their abilities they might as well give it a try, it would certainly give them leverage should they managed to get their hands on a Unique Cla.s.s Change Scroll.
Unfortunately, their first try certainly didn't pan out how Beelzebub wanted; but it's alright, they managed to get themselves all the information needed on the dungeon boss. Through all that information a perfect plan could be created during the time that they're out in the Forest of Spiders levelling up.
"Leave them for now! We'll just go into the Forest of Spiders to grind up and get stronger! Remember, don't start firing off your attacks at random! We're not in a guild yet so there'll be friendly fire!" Beelzebub shouted while he waved his hand through the air. He turned back around and took a step into the forest.
Since they weren't able to deal with anyone from Skilful Noobs, they would allow them to leave for now. In Beelzebub's opinion, the party they just encountered wouldn't have the b.a.l.l.s to attack them after they were scared off.
