Arlo saw her and smiled. Sky spoke before he answered. "Why are you doing this?" She pointed at the shredded chicken bowl.

"For chicken salad lettuce wraps." Arlo replied as he continued doing.

"Why aren't you wearing an ap.r.o.n? You will spoil your clothes." Sky said as she pulled a few drawers and found it.

She extended it towards him. Arlo was a clean freak, even without it, he wouldn't ruin his clothes. He didn't want to tell all that to her and remained quite.

After seeing her pa.s.sing it to him, he showed his hands to her.

"I will help you." Sky replied and unfolded the ap.r.o.n.

When he thought she would tiptoe to put it in on his neck, he heard her saying, "Bend over."

He smiled to himself and bent in front of her. Sky put it on his neck and went behind him and tied it. Arlo shook his head resignedly, "Thank you Ms.Sky"

Sky nodded and saw the pan on the cooktop. It was smelling delicious. She stirred once and asked, "Is this a sauce?"

Arlo hummed and explained, "Bolognese sauce, it's a meat-based Italian sauce."

"Oh!" Sky took a spoon and scooped a little, blew it and tasted. "It's yummy." She was about to scoop again but stopped by a fair big hand.

Sky saw Arlo who spoke, "Now I know why your brothers didn't let you cook in the kitchen."

Sky pouted and retracted her hand. "Okay, I will not eat it. Is there anything I can help you with?"

He was about to tell her something but changed his mind, "Nope! You will fill your stomach before lunch if I let you do anything."

Sky was speechless. She remembered what Jai told her when she wanted to help him to prepare the salad.

'Little sister, If I let you prepare the salad for five, You will finish eating it while cutting and you will say you aren't hungry anymore.'

Arlo thought she got angry for saying it. Sky smiled and looked at Arlo who looked confused. "Fine! You cook, I will just sit." She needed a break from the office.

Arlo sighed and returned to prepare salad, "I thought I vexed you."

Instead of going towards the stool, Sky sat on the cabinet, "No, No. You were right. That is one of the reasons why I am not allowed to enter the kitchen."

"What were you doing which banned you to enter the kitchen?" Arlo asked and handed her an appetizer.

She poped the appetizer to her mouth and started, "When Mom used to be busy, Brother Jai used to cook for me and Loran. I had asked him to give me some work. He told me to stir the pan which had sauce, it was in beautiful red color and... I had an itch to taste it.

I took a spoon and tasted it, It tasted different but good. I did several times and... I started getting stomach pain after some time. Brother Jai was preparing salad noticed me later.

He saw thirty percent of the sauce wasn't there. Then he told me it was half-cooked when he told me to stir. I had a bad stomach for two days." Sky told him one of her embarra.s.sing stories.

Arlo laughed, "I just guessed, I didn't expect it to be true. So you don't know to prepare anything?"

"I know a few basic dishes, soups and lots of desserts." Sky replied honestly as she ate her appetizer.

"Desserts? Do you like sweet?" Arlo hardly saw her ordering desserts.

"Nope! Loran has a sweet tooth. Brother Jai also likes it but moderately."

Similarly, A month pa.s.sed...

They started spending most of the time together. Daily during Meetings, Lunchtime, study time. Only in lunchtime, they were talking about random topics. Arlo was happy that he decided to cook for her which led him to know about her even more.

He was handing her something to eat or drink and their conversation used to start with food and end with many other topics and different stories.

Sky's appetize had increased. Her complexion looked even better. Even though the chef in her home was good, she looked forward to lunch daily on the weekdays. Daily she was telling David, her brothers and Barton parents about what Arlo prepared for lunch and how it tasted.

David was listening to her and was responding to her if required. He was scared that she may get too dependent on him or get too much attached so he kept a close eye on his movements.

Joe was back in the capital city and He wanted to meet her during lunch for not to disturb her work time.

Sky called Arlo to her office, "My cousin wants to have lunch with me. I am thinking to take him out. Do you want to join?"

"Ms.Sky, I can prepare it here for you two." Arlo knew Sky loved his cooking.

"Nope! I can understand if you cook for me. You don't have to cook for others because of me. I asked you to come because you don't like to eat alone." Sky smiled faintly. She wasn't someone to dump him because of another person.

"My brothers are an exception though" Sky added in. She would dump anybody or anything for them.

"Thank you for thinking about me. You should enjoy lunch with your cousin as you are meeting after a long time. I will go out for lunch today." Arlo was happy by what Sky said.

"Okay, Carry on your work then." Sky sent him and finished her work soon before leaving for lunch.

Joe had booked a private room in a restaurant that was near to Harley corporation. He had reached the entrance and called Sky. The latter informed Sam before leaving.

Sky exited the elevator and strode towards the waiting area where Joe was waiting. Since it was lunchtime, many employees were in the reception area. Seeing Sky after a long time, few greeted her as she was considered as a high-level management employee.

"Ms.Barton!"

"Ms.Sky Barton!"
