Aloof CEO's; Charming Secretary 407 Sky Chose President Lan 6

Olivia exited the elevator and went towards Arlo's room. One of the secretaries informed Olivia and took her to the meeting room.

A secretary opened the door for Olivia and she strode towards Arlo who wasn't even paying attention to the meeting.

"Meeting dismissed." Olivia grunted and all the attendees went out leaving Ryan and Arlo.

"Grandmother!" Ryan pulled out a chair for her.

"Darling! Why are you here? You should have called us." Arlo said as he pulled his chair next to her.

Olivia ignored him and looked at Ryan, "Why is he here?" Her voice carried a sense of authority and superiority.

"He didn't say anything to me when I asked about it." Ryan didn't know anything about it.

Olivia glanced at Arlo, "When did you start learning to drop things in the middle?"

"Darling! What are you saying?" Arlo wasn't sure what she spoke about.

"Sky called me to ask about you. She was worried about your health as you abruptly left and didn't go yesterday and today." Olivia's voice wasn't as gentle as she used to. It was cold and domineering.

"Why did you turn off your phone?" Olivia asked.

Arlo pondered and spoke, "Sky chose President Lan. I have told Chairman Harley that I will let her choose whoever she wants. What do you expect me to do there?"

"What? When did that happen?" Ryan was the first to react.

"Day before yesterday, she wore an exquisite gown which President Lan gave her and went to Empire Hotel where he had prepared everything for her." Arlo briefed to Olivia.

"Whatever it may be. Shouldn't you leave Harley with proper heads up? Why are you making that child worry about you? What about the business studies you have taught her till now? Are you going to waste her more than five months of effort? Arlo Smith! What's wrong with you? When did you start believing things with the outer look?"

Olivia's cold and obstinate tone sounded clear and loud in the meeting hall. Arlo remained silent. Ryan went aside and messaged somebody.

Olivia gave him ten minutes before she commanded, "What are you still sitting here for? If you can't be responsible for her time you wasted, at least go and resign so that she won't sit and worry that you are unwell. Leave."

Arlo nodded and stood up to leave but Ryan stopped, "Which imbecile told you she chose President Lan? According to the information I got, She entered the Hotel Empire in the gown but it was on the floor with numerous gla.s.s pieces. When she exited, she was with Sam like this."

Ryan showed a picture to him in which Sky was going towards the parking lot with Sam.

"Do you think if she agreed, she would break the gla.s.s top of the dining table with a chair and leave after lecturing President Lan for half an hour? It is confirmed by the Manager of the Hotel Empire. If you can't be determined to get Sky, You better stay here and look after Sigma." Ryan finished and left the meeting hall with Olivia.

Arlo didn't know whether to get happy or sad.

Happy to know she wasn't together with President Lan. Happy to know she was worried about him. Happy to know his grandmother and Ryan cared and protected Sky.

Sad to know his grandmother and Ryan despised him. Sad for thinking as Sky chose Kris just because she wore the dress and went to dinner.

But why did she reject President Lan? He was handsome, rich, talented.

Arlo changed his business suit to semi-formals in his room and went to Harley corporation without wasting time. Olivia and Ryan saw him from the latter's room and heaved a sigh of relief.

"Grandmother! Handsome Demon is so strong-headed when it comes to business, why isn't he the same for that crazy girl?"

"Haven't you heard, People in love loses their brain?" Olivia said and laughed.

"Indeed." Ryan joined her.

Sky was going to a meeting when she met Arlo before entering the elevator.

"Ms.Sky!" Arlo greeted and stood in front of her.

He had missed her a lot. Even sitting in the meeting room, he was thinking about how she would react to this question or how she would react to that comment. After seeing her, he controlled his urge to embrace her and he was happy seeing her.

"Arlo! What happened to you? Why didn't you come yesterday? Are you fine?" Seeing him breathing heavy, Sky tiptoed and checked his temperature by keeping her backhand on his forehead above his wispy soft hair which was covering his forehead.

"I'm sorry Ms.Sky, There was some problem, now it's resolved." Arlo replied with a gentle smile.

Sky nodded and entered the elevator, "Inform us next time. Be Professional."

She said before the elevator doors closed. He touched his forehead and smiled to himself. He went and started to finish his work swiftly. Then they got back to their track.

On Friday, Sky and Clark wanted to go to Hotpot restaurant. Hence all decided to go and Sky had booked the private room in the afternoon.

There was a meeting in the afternoon and she was checking the reports in her office. When she heard a knock, she said "Enter" Sky didn't raise her head and continued to work.

"Sky!"

Her brows twitched hearing the voice, she raised her head to see Ethan in a blue business suit. "Mr.Jeff! How can I help you?" She kept her aloof att.i.tude.

"Hey! Can you not treat me like this?" Ethan pulled a chair and sat down opposite to her.

"Excuse me?" Sky kept her poker face and emotionless voice.

"Sky! I'm sorry for my behavior. I was too agitated so I acted rashly. Are you angry?" Ethan was back to his playful att.i.tude leaving his depressed and troubled phase.

"Pardon me. I think you are in the wrong place. I don't get angry with people who I shouldn't." Sky said and went back to her file.

Ethan scratched his head and tried to a.n.a.lyze her expression but it was completely blank.

They heard a knock and Arlo entered after hearing to Sky. Arlo ignored Ethan and spoke to Sky, "Ms.Sky, You have a meeting now."

Sky nodded and stood up taking a file. "Arlo! Can you ask Andy to serve Mr.Jeff? I don't have time to tend to him."

Sky said as she went towards exit leaving Ethan tongue-tied. It was nearly a month he had seen her and he tried from two weeks to build up his courage to meet her.

He sent Andy back and time pa.s.sed in her office till she entered back. He heard the door open and turned towards it and saw Sky entering as Andy and Arlo followed behind her.
