Lance finally ended the whole introduction process and the student council members went back to their own work table.

I wanted to run away from this troublesome position but it dawned unto me that I could use my position in the student council to create a list of prey or pal. Taking control of the whole student body would be a good idea too. If by any chance I'd have to stay in this wretched world for my whole life, having a good leash on the future elite generation would give my own future a smooth sailing.

'Besides, if I get stressed out then I'll just hara.s.s d.i.c.k. Oh! I could also target January Amott.' I smirked at such idea.

"Let's go." A smoky voice resounded near my right ear giving me a light tremble.

'd.a.m.n Hannibal! His whisper almost made my ovary explode. Is he done with his p.u.b.erty already?!'

Without giving me a chance to respond, Hannibal grabbed my hand and started to drag me with him.

"Maria." Lance called out and stole my hand from Hannibal's grip.

I could've sworn I heard a low growl from Hannibal while his eyes were sharp as knives and ready to cut Lance to several pieces. Though Lance utterly ignored the hostility and he just gave me one of his beautiful and affectionate smiles.

"Thank you for formally accepting the role of being the vice-president in the student council and also for joining the unannounced short meeting." Lance then turned to Dull who was just standing behind me. "He's your bodyguard right?"

I nodded in response. "He'll stick with me most of the time."

Lance's smile somehow stiffened while I could feel the atmosphere around Hannibal plummet in a heartbeat.

"There's no need for him. I can give you a better FEMALE bodyguard." Hannibal emphasis on a certain word made me blink in confusion.

"For once, I would agree on your suggestion Raven." Lance was happily nodding.

'HEY! What's with the unnecessary consensus?!'

"I'm not weak. I can protect my owner with my own strength." Dull finally spoke in a firm tone and his eyes were fixed unto me.

"Then prove it mutt." Hannibal said as he launched a sudden attack to Dull.

Lance pulled me into a protective embrace as we watched Hannibal and Dull fight.

Hannibal really proved that he came from a family with military background. His kicks were steady and heavy while his punches were swift and deadly. He utilized Dull's higher stature and maximized the low attacks.

For some reason, Dull kept a defensive stance and I could observe that he was holding back.

"Wh Should I call the security?!" A panicked voice resounded near the entrance of the conference room.

"No need Amber. They're actually fighting for me." I said and gave her a wink.

She blushed and when she noticed that I was in Lance's embrace the blush disappeared.

"No worries everyone! It's just a battle for love!" Amber announced and closed the door of the conference room.

'Let me pretend I heard nothing outrageous from her.'

Amber's eyes were now sparkling like stars as her gaze would run back and forth from Lance and I to the fight between Hannibal and Dull.

Getting unsatisfied with Dull's performance, I declared in a haughty tone.

"Dull, if you lose this fight then Vivian's job will become your job. You know what that entails." I smirked despite the fact that he might be too preoccupied to spare me a glance.

Dull's face paled in a moment but was then replaced by a serious expression. Within a minute, Dull managed to overthrow Hannibal's balance thus giving him the opportunity to pin Hannibal down. A frustrated groan escaped from Hannibal while Dull gave a deep relieved sigh. Amber was clapping her hands and kept on saying "bravo" while wiping some non-existent tears.

I wiggled my way out from Lance's embrace and walked towards the displeased Hannibal who was sitting on the floor while staring at his clenched fist.

"Dull was my chosen by me and for your information, I only choose the best of the best." I smugly said as I offered him a hand which he immediately held as he stood up.

Once he was on his feet, he pulled me into an embrace thus slamming my face unto his surprisingly hard chest.

"He's just a bodyguard, right?" Hannibal's smoky voice once again tickled my ears.

"That's the main and sole purpose of his existence." I replied as I looked up and was now in near proximity with Hannibal's devilishly handsome face making me miss the opportunity to see a flash of frustration on Dull's face.

Somehow, I could also faintly hear Amber's squeal.

"Well, that certainly clears up a lot of things." Lance happily chimed in and tore me from Hannibal's embrace. "Now Maria, I guess it's time for you to go home. I'll walk with you to the car." He added as he firmly held my hand.

"I'll send her home." Hannibal said as he held my other hand.

'Why do I feel like we've went back to square one?'

Feeling tired from the expected clash, I tugged my hand out from their grip and held them up.

"No, there's no need to send me home 'cause Dull brought a car with him." I stated as I looked at Hannibal which made him frown. I continued with a smile, "I'm fine with the walk but I don't want any fight, neither physical nor verbal."

Hannibal and Lance had no choice but to agree with me. Thus, Amber jubilantly send us off from the student council office. Our walk to the car earned quite an attention from the students we would pa.s.s by. Lance would initiate small talks which I gladly responded while Hannibal just gave curt responses. On the other hand, Dull was quiet.

Since my personal chauffeur was present, I told Dull to seat beside me thus allowing me to take a short nap by leaning on his shoulder. After for some time, my consciousness was awaken by the smooth stop of the car.

'I guess we're home.'

I waited for Dull to wake me up but then he whispered…

"My body and soul is for you and only you, Maria."

For some reason, it was painful to hear.
