The main battlefront was in the east, the current enemies being humans from the Pes.h.i.+te kingdom. Whereas they were holding Chyron somewhere west of the location which basically meant they wanted the army to split their resources in these two areas.
"Chora... Myr... you've both served me loyally, but..." the king started speaking. He couldn't send anyone to aid them, even there was little risk it was too much to put against the son of two generals.
"We understand sir." Both Chora and Myr said simultaneously before walking out the door.
The king turned to look at Guru, "Have I made a mistake?"
The guru could only reply with, "As a king you probably did the right thing.... but only as a king." Before he returned to his quarters leaving the king alone.

They'd both been prepared to move out in the morning before the news came, so when they left the castle they directly moved to exit the kingdom.
When they left the gates what surprised them was that their own men and women were waiting already with their mounts for them. There were even some men and women from other corps. Chora scanned the crowd, "What the h.e.l.l are you all doing here!? You know the orders...."
"You know from the day you stood in front of you I don't think I've heard you keep your mouth shut...." a voice spoke out from behind them, Chora and Myr were both stunned, they knew exactly who it was.
"Gu... Guru..." they both turned to meet the old man with a walking stick. "I thought the king said..."
"Even if he said those words it doesn't mean I would agree, besides even if it'll be bad on us we would still move out... consider it an old mans restlessness from being in these walls for too long." Guru said.
"You mean you're coming with us?" Myr couldn't help ask.
"Am I not allowed to?" Guru replies playfully.
"Of course you are!!" Myr said while she gave him a hug.

They arrived at the spot in two days. It was a new blacksmith village they had wanted to establish but had to leave behind after the enemy attacked.
In the span of a few months of war, the village had been converted into a small fortress by the enemy.
A surprise attack wasn't very effective as they were waiting in preparation to be attacked at any given moment.
For the first time Chora and Myr were cursing their infamy as generals as they were basically rus.h.i.+ng into a turtle sh.e.l.l where everyone was armed to the teeth.
At least 15,000 men littered the area.
In comparison the amount of people Myr and Chora could bring numbered a little more than a thousand.
Mathematically it was impossible to do. Like it or not, even a skilled warrior would have trouble if 15 people came cutting at them at the same time. So the plan was to split into 3 groups. The first would be the biggest of them all taking around 600 men.
They would be led by Guru who was strongest amongst them all and hopefully draw away most of the men. The next would be with Myr bringing with her 400 warriors to attack another side.
Chora would take his small group of less than 20 people to go in quickly. If they found some prisoners they could free them to join the fight. But the hardest part would be breaking back out.
It sounded like a good plan but against those numbers everyone knew it was near impossible.
Chora turned to Guru, "Maybe you could speak a few words get their morale high...."
"Chora, this is your army now, you should be speaking," Guru replied.
"But I wouldn't know what to say..." He looked at his wife for support.
Myr walked towards him and hung on to his shoulders, "tell the truth, it's the least we could do, besides in the first place we were prepared to die alone here, if they left does it really make a difference?"
He smiled at his wife and smiled before walking up to the men. They all turned to him waiting for his words.
"I think you all know why I'm here, my son is in there with those Phesite dogs and they are waiting for me to walk in there, thirsty for my blood. Even if I know this, I'll still walk in, if I lose my life so be it... but that's me... I am ready to lay my life down here with my wife as we take as many of them as we can with us...." he turned to look at Myr.
"If you step in there with us, there's a large chance you won't come out alive, and I wouldn't want to ask that of you in exchange of my own. If you would stand with us, all I can promise you is I would share many drinks with you over a nice meal in h.e.l.l." Many of them chuckled but none of them budged.
"Thank you, I couldn't have asked for better warriors fighting under me," Chora bowed.
"You know... I regret asking you to speak, usually you're very motivated, who knew you could be so sappy like a wet cloth", Guru said, "Well then, why don't we slaughter as many of them as we can while we still breathe!!"
"Oo!!!" The whole group roared.
